This is hands down my favourite restaurant EVER! I have come here pretty much every month since living in Liverpool and the food has always been incredible. I bring my family and friends here and the food is so perfect every time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, too. I cannot recommend this place enough, definitely an underrated diamond in Liverpool ❤️

Ordered the Laksa chicken noodle. It was very tasty 😋 comes with a lot of mixed vegetables including roasted potato and the chicken. I got vermicelli noodles they went well with the soup, might try the fresh ones next time.

Great venue with a wide range of Asian food at a reasonable price. I regularly eat here with friends and family as the food is delicious and the staff are always really friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options - I usually go for the crispy tofu bibimbap but the veggie spring rolls, bao buns and gyoza are delicious. There is a mix of Japanese, Chinese and Korean-style food on the menu and there is also a small drinks menu too. The food preparation is very speedy and you can also get takeaway too. One of my favourite places to eat in Liverpool!

A friend of mine found this place while googling places to eat around Liverpool. From the menu, it looked like a mix of Chinese, Korean and Japanese food available. So we decided to give it a try. It is a small and quaint place which was not easy to find at first. It is pretty cozy and just a tad away from the busy Bold Street. The food were pretty good, service was quite fast and the staff was friendly. We ordered Pan Fried dumplings (didn't take the photo sorry), Crispy Salt & Pepper Tofu, also Korean Sweet Spicy Chicken Wings for sharing appetisers. They are taste good, though I think what arrived was the salt & pepper chicken wings. But not giving too much fuss about it. The Bibimbap however was quite different from the Bibimbap I had before in other places. I wouldn't say it's bad, just different. The mango sticky rice was good.

We absolutely love this restaurant, a real hidden gem. The noodle soup w fresh noodles is one of the best I’ve ever had. The food is fantastic value and has a great array of veggie options too.

After countless of visiting and ordering my favorite dish. No need to say, that this place is fantastic, atmosphere are amazing. Filled with different style. Owner and staff are super friendly, we talk a lot and super chill, we also laugh a lot in some sort of jokes I recommend the salty tofu and some HK style dishes. You do need booking if it's more than 3+ people, but no need to say, it's worth of visiting.

10/10 food. My favourite place to go in Liverpool. Friendly staff and a bubbly/cosy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful food and excellent service

First visit to Bao&Bap. We had spring rolls, spicy chicken wings, bibimbap, beef rice and Malaysian curry/laksa. It was delicious, good value for money and will recommend!

Was excited to try but left disappointed. Had noodles that tasted like spaghetti with a tangy marinara sauce, bun was just alright, dumplings nothing to call home about. Everything kind of underwhelming. Service was efficient and polite.

Called in for a Saturday night prior to the theatre. The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We came on a Saturday evening before a concert, and really wanted it to be excellent given all the great reviews. We would've liked to order the buns from the restaurant name, but were told these were sold out for the week [sold out by Saturday, schoolgirl error that perhaps!] We then ordered chicken wings, which were actually very good, fried pork dumplings with a watery soy sauce that were somewhat underwhelming and followed this with a rice bowl and prawn noodle soup, both of which were really average unfortunately. Whilst the staff were lovely, once you throw in 2 bottles of beer, the £47 rather left us feeling short changed... Not for us

Bao and Bap is always my to-go restaurant when thinking of Asian food. I always come here after work for good food with my colleagues. I recommend salt and pepper crispy tofu for starters. The tofu is perfectly fried with salt and pepper as a seasoning, nothing to say much, it’s just perfect on its own. For the main, I always go for Beef brisket (spicy) noodle, always go for hand-made noodle. The beef is so tender, no need to chew 😄. The soup is yummy, it’s just about right for me and not too spicy nor salty. Another main to recommend is Spicy pork rib with rice; the rib is so tender and their sauce is so good. When you eat with rice, it’s just perfect. Recommended 😄

I came here with my bf after walking past a few weeks ago, the food was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. We only had several small plates, but they were filling and came out of the kitchen quickly.

We were in Liverpool for a martial arts tournament and ate here with a large group of people. The service was top notch and the food delicious. Highly recommended 👌

First time as was recommended. Great selection of very tasty food. As food cooked to order if you go in a group you may not necessarily get all food together but it's worth waiting for.

So a little gem the food is amazing very fresh. The only thing is starters and mains all come together I understand that what happens but the food was that nice I wanted to slow down and enjoy every single flavour and boy it was very flavoursome Must say the waitress was very nice and very helpful explaining the menu thank you so much

The special tofu mao was good, though the vegan version without egg was the same price as with egg. Perhaps the egg could be an extra and on? I had the (vegan) tofu chilli bean mixed with the aubergine chilli bean. It was a bit too sweet, so not so traditional, and not spicy enough. There was also way more aubergine than the tofu, which was a shame.

2nd visit in 4 months. A hidden gem. Great food/service/good pricing- excellent.I’ll be back soon.

I love this place. I just moved to liverpool, and there’s not a lot of korean food places here. I hadn’t been satisfied with any until I came here. I love fried tofu so I get the fried tofu bibimbap a lot :)

It's fair. We tried two main courses and two starters, and the only thing I can say was really good is the sweet spicy wings. The service was great.

I ordered a Malaysian soup at the Bao & Bap restaurant, which was truly exquisite – intensely spicy and full of deep flavors. Regrettably, after my visit on October 12th, I experienced food poisoning confirmed to be a CAMPYLOBACTER infection. I am certain it was this restaurant since I ate nothing else that day. This experience completely overshadowed my visit. I strongly urge the management to take specific actions to ensure proper hygiene standards.

(Apologies for unjust photos we couldn’t wait to eat) Me and my friend had been excited to try here for some time and I can safely say it was definitely worth it. Pork pan fried dumplings, shredded chicken, Korean sweet and hot wings, salt and pepper chips, kimchi and katsu curry were our starters/ sides and we were GREATLY pleased with the flavour of our food as it tasted very much cooked to order and fresh. Our mains were the katsu chicken rice bowl and Malaysian prawn curry rice bowl and these dishes along our remaining sides finished the meal off perfectly due too their heat/spice, flavour, freshness and also how well the food settled. Safely to say we probably looked like we hadn’t eaten in weeks with how much we enjoyed the food. This alongside how friendly and clearly hard working and attentive the staff are would make me recommend this place too anyone who loves a comforting meal.

Visiting Liverpool again but for the Mrs 40th. Always looking for authentic japanese food and this place is amazing. Service was great, food arrived promptly and 🔥. Good music playing in the background and not too loud. Literally can't fault this place. Was planning to go again but saving it for our next trip. The best things go to those who wait. Highly recommended.

Amazing place amazing staff and absolutely amazing food

Booked because of the TripAdvisor reviews and very glad we did. The restaurant itself is very basic. No frills, but spotless. Drinks ordered, we only wanted soft drinks and they were supplied in cans. Ordered starters and they were quickly delivered. Starters were delicious, freshly cooked and hot. Starters delivered when ready and not all at same time. Once done with starters the dishes were collected swiftly. A few minutes later the main dishes arrived. Piping hot. Again absolutely delicious and super tasty. They were 4 of us and all in less than £100. That was for 9 or so smaller starter dishes and 4 larger main dishes, inc drinks. Brilliant value. Just to mention the staff, they were lovely Happy to amend dishes to suit i.e. remove corriander. Can recommend this place very highly.

Amazing food and great flavour with good size portions. Staff were all lovely and friendly. I would recommend to anybody around the area looking for pan Asian cuisine selection. The beef ribs were soft and juicy and the other dishes were also great all at reasonable prices. Only managed to take a photo of the Korean fried chicken wings, but I am definitely going again :)

We loved this quaint restaurant, the food was superb, one of the best Pork Tonkatsu's we've had, the Spicy Wings are so succulently perfect, Liverpool will be our new home and this will be a regular spot to quench our Asian cuisine cravings - seriously the quickest food has ever been brought to our table after ordering and the quality was off the charts!

Lovely restaurant with amazing value food. Ordered starters and a main, and was not disappointed by portion size, it was very generous. Amazing value for money for what you get. You can tell it is all home cooked, and it all came out hot and fresh. Did not taste oily or over fried like some restaurants. Only tip i would follow next time is asking the food to come out in intervals, and this was probably because we ordered so much!

The atmosphere, the people and the food was just amazing! I got Korean sweet and spicy beef with fried rice. I can say that the fried was the best that I’ve had in a long while. Though the beef was a bit too sweet for me personally, I still very much enjoyed it.

What a gem of a restaurant! Staff who are keen to answer any questions and make recommendations. The dumplings are a great starter and I always opt for the crispy chilli beef but the udon noodles are also outstanding. Really good value and you will never leave hungry.

Fantastic place. Lovely staff, amazing food. Tofu heaven for veggies/vegans. If you're lucky enough to get a table you won't be disappointed!
