Bank Street Kitchen in Wakefield

Genuinely one of the best places to eat in the wakefield area, if not the the best. The food is always fantastic and the menu offers a good variety without falling in to the trap of trying to be a jack of all trades. Portion sizes are large, but that doesn't at all mean they skimp on flavour. The staff have always been polite and friendly, even when the place is packed. Attached is a picture of their Tender bowl, served with optional Mac'n'Cheese, which is my go to.

Had the Rice Bowl. FANTASTIC. The finely chopped ingredients added to the fresh salad and tasty rice made it full of flavours. The delicious, crispy coated, chicken tenders were gorgeous, a very generous portion and beautifully presented. Thanks also for putting my sauce in a separate pot cos I prefer to dip. I ate good. 😋

Eat here quite often. Absolutely incredible food served up every time. Fresh food made with great quality ingredients makes such a huge difference to your run of the mill takeaway.. Can't recommend this place enough. Burgers are amazing and also the chicken tenders with honey honey sriracha sauce is banging.

Delicious food. Very friendly staff. Sometimes have to wait a while but that's only credit to how popular the place is. Keep up the good work.

Just be aware the burgers are £8 smaller than a McDonald’s and come without chips. When I say there small I mean small 😂

Absolutely love this place, the food is amazing and arrives quickly to your table. Been several times, always with friends, and always gets great feedback. Staff are really helpful guiding through the menu and checking you're happy

Visited for the first time on Tuesday. What can I say but WOW!! Amazing food, I couldn’t decide what to eat first WVERYTHING was amazing . I’ve eaten at some places this year across the country and the world and this was by far the most amazing food. Can’t wait to go back again!

Food is amazing however they never have the rice for rice bowls as they always run out early evening despite being open until 10pm. Either take it of the menu or cook more rice as this has happened to me alone more than 6 times. Similar kitchens at Horbury bridge don’t appear to have this issue.

Definitely going back Edit** Second time, I took my partner to show him what it was all about( the burger was certainly a smash burger bit of a mess but that’s what you ask for, taste was amazing, I got the bsk bowl with halloumi and I think this is my favourite dish there, them halloumi bites was just 🤤🤤😋 EDIT* third time here, again an absolutely amazing, got the bsk bowl with the garlic & macaroni, and the 10 brownie bites, which I didn’t know they did was so mouth watering good! always friendly staff, even when busy they’re still calm, I definitely recommend and will be back a forth time 😆😆

My friend brought me here to try for my first time. Was rammed & tiny inside. Managed to get a table by asking if we could sit with them. Food was nice but down side 45 minute wait to get our food (if we knew it was going to be that long we wouldn't of bothered but they didnt tell us). Food was nice but not worth the wait. I got the buffalo tenders & salt & pepper chips. Hopefully they get a bigger place & more staff as its a popular place. EDIT---- Came back & got the steak fries box with the signature cheese sauce & garlic parsley butter it was beautiful & only a 15min wait which was a lot better.

Great place. Very tasty. Quick service. And our 3 year old loved the mac n cheese with shrimp. We will be back 😊

Edit. We've been 4 or 5 more times since this. Still delicious and we love it. The new menu is out too.. Amazing! my son decided on here for his birthday and they really took care of us all, even bringing him out some extra. Food was amazing as always. They were busy so it took a little while ( about 25 minutes or so for 5 meals) but is always worth the wait. Staff are so friendly and really good. food was about £70 for all 5 of us, but there was enough left for lunch for 3 of us the next day. Looks like we might be going back tonight too! thanks folks!

We only just found this place We used to be regular customers at the bear kitchen before it closed its doors.. it looks like we've discovered our new place here will definitely be returning one of the best burgers I've ever had along with the dirt fries and sauces the favours were banging they're really friendly too and good with the toddler would highly recommend good prices and definitely returning 🙌

Placed an order for three burgers to be collected. Firstly the burgers were just about warm-ish Secondly the lettuce on the burgers had gone off and was brown and large chunks of stalk which was very off putting and Thirdly to top it off, got charged full price for a burger that didn’t even have some of the ingredients on and wasn’t informed when I rang and ordered. Bank street kitchen use to be spot on, if it has changed hands or new staff. They really need too step up there game as I won’t be ordering again anytime soon. Very disappointed

Amazing food I ordered for my family and we all enjoyed the food. It was full of flavour and we demolished every last bit. Service is friendly and quick we didn't have a long wait at all. Bank street kitchen is local to me so I will definitely keep ordering from here.

Went for the first time today and I have to say WOW. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I had the double Pattie with dirty fries, which was very reasonably priced. Will be visiting again very soon.

Was very excited to try this place, whilst the food is amazing, the service let them down. We arrived at 12pm and placed an order ( I appreciate it was a large order) however, we were still waiting an hour later for the food, other people In a group also had a large order they had come in after us, had their food eaten it and left, along with three other people getting their food, all whilst we were still sat waiting for ours. I wouldn't let this stop me from coming again and am more than happy to give a second chance, will also call in future if a large order but it was annoying to be sat there, watch others get their food and leave before we even got ours.

Where do I begin? The burgers, beef or chicken, are exceptionally flavoursome - amazing combinations of popular flavours in each of their menu items. And on the topic of menu items, there's plenty there to switch things up with each visit! Their BSK Bowls are perfectly portioned and consistently tasty every single time! And their Steak Fries are to DIE FOR! Absolutely love their Tender Bowl with Buffalo Mayo, and because I'm greedy, a side of Fries as well (personal favourites are 'Parmesan x Italian Truffle' and 'Salt & Pepper'. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the guys there are always smiling, which makes each visit as great as the last. They are also dog friendly! The dog is always treated to some crispy bacon there, which is a really kind gesture. I dare say, they are the best burger place by a country mile, and they are always looking to bring more to the table. Keep an eye on the BSK team! 11/10, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Terrible service when placing the order asked if we had a table after going to the car other people was sat at our table then we was told we would have to wait for our food so had to request a refund I eaten here most days won't no more

Tried this place out after seeing the hype all over insta. Safe to say it did not disappoint! Everything was perfect and still warm even when we got home half an hour later… Food was beautiful and the guy that served us was lovely. We’ll definitely be back! -Belle

Smashed it out of the park... is the expression I would use today. Having been a few times, we've never been disappointed. Food has always tasted amazing and worth every penny. Changed it up today to try the steak fries; 100% recommend! Bit gutted I didn't attempt them sooner, but happy I saved them as the Xmas Eve treat 😋 Extra bonus points for the chilled soundtrack as it's a welcome change from the Christmas tunes I hear everywhere 🤣 thanks boys!

The food here is excellent. Me and my wife went for the tenders and our 3yr old daughter had the nuggets, all of us had the skin on fries. My fussy daughter adored the food too and she's typically very fussy! Will definitely be coming again and telling everyone about it

MY FAVE PLACE EVER! If I could go here 7 days a week and not eventually get fed up of the food I would! I try to limit myself but it’s hard because the food is so good! I’ve been going here well over a year and have brought basically all my family and friends here- I should be on commission at this point! I love the chicken cheese sandwiches, the tender chicken bowl with aioli sauce , the Mac and cheese, halloumi bites, steak fries. Always fresh, the friendliest staff. I also love the drink selection much better range of drinks than most. So proud of the owners for smashing it, it’s so nice to see small business doing well. Keep it up and I’ll see you in another 6 days 😂💜

Quick service, great staff, clean restaurant, nice food, huge portions. Could do with a little music ( might have had some but I couldn't hear it). Will definitely be back to try a burger next time.

This place is pretty much a go to mealhouse for us, me and my partner plus sister and her partner. It's a little shop but awesome foods. Always enjoy the food and staff are really great and accommodating. They have 4 tables and it's usually always full but they do orders to takeaways.

Really like this place. The foods great and staff friendly. However, it has attracted groups of teenagers and young lads that just swear constantly. It's become somewhere I don't want to eat with my you daughter because of this and that's a real shame as the foods awesome!

SO GOOD! Best takeaway I've had in a long time. And I was able to order something that fit with my awkward dietary needs (can't have dairy or gluten) with no problems. Ordered over the phone and the guy was very accommodating. So tasty!

£4.00 for 6 onion rings with two of them the size of a £2 coin. Never again. Yes Ian ordered these for me. I only ordered the onion rings as that was all I could afford.

A fantastic little business serving great burgers locally. As a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur, I've eaten here numerous times now with my partner and with friends - no complaints. The staff are always friendly and show that they care about the food they produce as they are knowledgeable about it. The menu generally has something for everyone and I would say it's good value for both quality and quantity. People likening this to Five Guys as 'overpriced' or 'poor value' are absolutely mad. The price of a Five Guys double cheeseburger is £8.25. The price of a double cheeseburger here is £6.95 - you do the math...

Overpriced for the portion small burgers and small box of chips. Had the chicken slaw the batter was burnt and the chicken was hard to chew.

The food here is so good. The coleslaw on the Chicken Slaw burger is delicious. The wings are crunchy, tender and juicy. The fries are the perfect combo of crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

Took my younger sister as she’s been before and wanted me to try their burgers and all I can say is the service and food has been spectacular, and the staff check up on you regularly to see how everything is. It’s so good to have a restaurant/takeaway that care about their customers and the food they provide. Plus the music they play is awesome, takes me back to the 00’s. Will definitely return here next time!

Excellent burger, delicious fries, and my wife said the steak she had was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly too, and the whole place had a cosy atmosphere. They were fine with us bringing in our 9-month-old in her pram and extended their friendly attitude to her whenever they saw her looking. We will be visiting again, and probably ordering takeaway for collection sometimes.
