We got a takeaway from here yesterday, kept us waiting with the order but it was well worth it, food was hot and fresh and well packaged. Got the toasted duck curry with coconut rice and honestly it was easily one of the best Thai meals I've ever had.

Ordered a selection of starters and mains. The starters were pretty basic, not much flavour, all deep fried. The mains were much better and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the thai green curry. Initially I was surprised by the portion sizes but did not leave hungry. I would definitely go back for the mains or order a delivery. Service wise, the staff were fairly quiet, polite enough but not much interaction. Prices were reasonable, average for similar.

Excellent evening - all the dishes we ordered were generous portions using good quality fresh ingredients. Our curries and veg dishes were prepared well with lots of meat and served with a good variety of vegetables. There is a large menu - would definitely recommend for dining in as well as takeaway. Great value for money - thank you Bangkok Lounge!

we had a very nice dinner with salt and pepper squid and duck spring rolls to start, very tasty and adequate portions. we had egg noodles, bangkok lamb and spicy chili scallops and prawns for the main course, everything was excellent and very tasty, the service was impeccable and the lady in charge was most polite and helpful when we asked about items on the menu. we had a very leisurley meal, taking our time to enjoy the rest of our wine after we had finished. the price was most reasonable and we can highly recommend this restaurant.

The Thai green curry was sweet and bland, barely recognisable. The service, though smiley, was extremely slow - almost two hours for the meal. The papaya salad was good, though.

Absolutely delicious. The food was so good. I forgot to take any pictures except for this one bowl of vegetables and even that bowl of vegetables was delicious! We had spicy noodles pad, Thai green Thai curry Bangkok, lamb, egg fried rice. Every single dish was fantastic! Almost forgot, the starters were great too! Totally recommended.

0 stars. Phad noodles burnt and had no meat. Scammed me for my money and food was disgusting.

This place should be much busier than it is. I’ve been a few times and I’m always happy. So glad to have such a great local restaurant nearby. Absolutely delicious. We had the salt and pepper squid and the roast duck. Incredible. Not rushed. We were allowed to take our time when eating. Friendly staff. Will be back.

SO good! Just had this now after work! So tasty, definitely putting this on the list of places to get good food. Place had a chill vibe as well/ I love pad thai but have a peanut allergy but they reassured me they could make everything without it and it all taster amazing!

Red curry was nice but salt and pepper squid wasn’t seasoned. I’m guessing they made a mistake with my order

I don't get to visit this restaurant as much as I should because I don't live near it now but I am never disappointed when I visit. There a lot of options along the High Rd but in my experience not many are as consistently good as this place. Went there last night with my daughter and walked in without a reservation about 9pm. We had the mixed shared starter followed by a Penang Curry. The food was excellent and of the standard I would expect from my previous visits. I promise not to leave it as long next time.

We loved the salt & pepper squid, the duck curry, Tom Ka soup, and Penang curry. This is a very good Thai place, the best in the vicinity of Muswell Hill. The staff is lovely. We will be back.

I must say the food here is most excellent. This is the closest I have got to the food I so love in Thailand. They put the extra care and attention into every dish. I would wholeheartedly recommend Bangkok Lounge.

Great Thai food, and well priced. Really enjoyed the fried rice and green curry, and there's a good variety on the menu where you can choose the style of dish and your choice of meat. It got quite busy inside though and unfortunately there was only one member of the wait-staff which meant things could take a while.

First time visiting the Bangkok Lounge but certainly won’t be the last. The restaurant is quite small but cosy and has some nice Thai furnishings inside. The service was very good, prompt and friendly. Having spent a lot of time in Thailand over the years, it’s no easy task to find places here that serve authentic Thai cuisine, but this is definitely one of them. The mixed starter for two was nicely presented and had a good variation of hors d'oeuvres. For mains we went for a Red Curry with chicken, a Pad Thai with prawns and Pad Kra Pao with beef. All were delicious, perfectly spiced and well portioned. So much so that we couldn’t finish them all. For dessert, Mango with Sticky Rice. A nice sweet ending to an excellent meal. Update: Had our second meal here yesterday evening. While the flavours were excellent, the Sizzling King Prawn dish was overpriced in my opinion. Only 5 prawns which were very small indeed for £17 is excessive. Would still recommend but will steer clear of this dish in future

They put cheap artificial crab sticks and almost raw mushrooms in seafood tom yum, such a disappointment.

Excellent food. Amazing service. Best Thai red curry we have had (we have been to Thailand a few times!). When you are seated the waitress hands you alcohol gel before you touch the menus which we found reassuring. Nice small family run restaurant and have been back many times. Would recommend.

I came here with my mum. We had the beef oyster sauce and the mixed vegetables in sauce. We also had sticky rice and steamed rice with it . The sticky rice was good however it may not be liked by everyone so it’s Better to go with steamed. We also had the duck spring rolls and fried prawns. I tried the Thai iced tea which was like iced Tea with condensed milk. It was fantastic. I definitely recommend it for a nice inexpensive treat. our food came to a total of 41.31 including service fee for the two of us.

We just ordered Uber eats and the ribs were completely freezing cold . Unfortunately Uber eats won’t do anything about it so I have to write this review to warn others of the quality of food here . Never again .

If you want authentic Thai... then you have found it. No frills amazingly tasty Thai food. Worth every penny

Very covid safe. We went early evening mid week. Not many customers so felt very safe. Waitress wore a mask and was very attentive. Food was very tasty. My companions were more into Thai food than me and all agreed it was very good.

a good selection of Thai dishes to suit any taste, from mild and coconutty creamy, to quite spicy. We all liked it and the atmosphere was very nice.

We hadn't been for a while but revisited during the August 'Eat Out" campaign. We booked in advance, and to my surprise the restaurant was full to capacity (they had to turn away walk-ins), tables were a little to close together considering we're in a pandemic. We reordered some dishes we had enjoyed before, and a couple of new ones. Overall the food was very good and didn't have the sameness of flavours you encounter in some places. The tom yum soup and the som tum papaya salad were excellent, both had a great sharp and spicy flavour. The pak choy was slightly bland, but that was ok as a contrast to the spicy dishes. The spicy aubergine was soft and tender, and mildly spiced. The vegetarian Panang curry alas was far too sweet although we reminded the waitress that we wanted this dish very spicy - I suppose the kitchen was too overwhelmed to take much notice of special requests. As usual, service was very pleasant but the waitresses were rushed off their feet. We had three beers with our food, and the total bill was GBP61 before the Eat Out discount, but we had actually overordered - one dish less would have been sufficient for two people. Still a pretty good restaurant although I didn't feel too covid safe, and we later found a better Thai restaurant closer to home.

Exceptional dishes : tiger prawn red curry, steamed sea bass and coconut rice. Noodles and broccoli were ok. Intrigued to know the vegetables with the prawns. Reasonable prices for the quality.

Really good Thai food! We ordered the Thai green curry, red curry and number 58 (think this was spicy rice noodles) and they were all so nice! Will 100% be returning.

Delicious food. Of course the usual Thai curries are really good as well as the Wonton Soup and many other things. The aubergine main course is a real treat if you want to try something different.

My partner and I come here regularly as we live locally, it’s the best Thai restaurant in North London that we’ve eaten in. Food is so tasty and the service is 5 star, the staff are incredibly friendly and so helpful. We’re bemused by last review, some people clearly can’t be satisfied. Highly recommend a visit here.

Great service. Cater to carnivores vegetarians and vegans very well. Very good food not just covered in sugar and salt. Really tasty. Can't believe I didn't know about this place before now. Left full but not bloated. Superb!

Quality food and quality service. The staff are clearly proud of their service and aim to please do you have a good experience. The fort choices are fresh, flavorful and with plenty of choices. Having tried more than 10 different dishes across multiple visits none of them disappointed.

Food is below par. It lacked freshness and was poorly prepared. The starters were v poor. Tasteless fried calamari and other culinary calamities. It was tough trying to reconcile the reviews with our dining experience.

We had a late night meal here with reasonably high expectations based on the reviews. The lady that took the order was lovely and friendly. I have given an extra star for service. We ordered takeaway and got a discount for paying cash. The food was well packed. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing meal. The butterfly prawns lacked taste or garnish. They were dry and over fried. The squid was like the frozen battered calamari sold in cheap supermarkets. Normally salt and pepper quid is delicious and looks great tossed in garlic and chilli these were bland horrible rings with zero taste not even salt or pepper. It was awful. By contrast, the rest of the menu had too much unpleasant seasoning. Normally the fragrant lemon grass, coconut, basil, garlic etc get your tastebuds going before you even start to eat. However, the other dishes were badly done, They were a variety of seafood dishes which were a mixture of mussels two big ones per dish and rubbery squid. The sauce was oddly spiced and the two dishes were not distinct. The sea bass the most expensive dish was battered fillets and then put in a strange sauce. The broccoli was ok but overcooked and in the same strangely spiced sauce. The pad thai, was ok and the coconut rice was ok. Nothing was great or lovely. We normally adore Thai food, when it's well done it is exquisite. I don't know if this was an off night but we were not impressed and we won't be be trying again. We had hoped this could be a new favourite for us - but that is not the case.

Always tasty food, yummy really. Kate and the other staff are welcoming and on our last visit we were happy to receive postmeal 2 shots of drink on the house, being my friend's birthday! Lovely service..

We booked Bangkok Lounge to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were not disappointed with the atmosphere and the food. Everything was so very delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. I had visited this restaurant about 4 years ago and at that time I was disappointed but on this occasion everything was perfect. The staff surprised my daughter with a lovely birthday treat. Thank you. We will come again.

Delicious! We had a mixed veggie platter to start, and then a red curry each, Pad Thai, Pad Broccoli and Jasmine rice for our main and it was so so tasty! Very fresh and authentic flavours, easily the best tasting Thai food in London. Lovely atmosphere and setting too, we had a great evening.

We had dinner at this simple but welcoming Thai restaurant. We were in the main part of the restaurant (there is a separate area behind a glass wall) which is not very large, and tables are fairly close together, but there are some nice touches...

I go here all the time. The food is excellent as is the service - lovely staff. My friend comes up from South East London and always insists that we eat there.

A small but friendly Thai restaurant, our Friday evening visit wasn't booked but we were able to get our choice of table. The menu is extensive, with the full meat, seafood, and vegetarian choice across the board. The staff were friendly and efficient, and when i chose tofu checked if i was vegan as my choice contained nam pla. The food was very well presented and a great balance of flavour and heat. Recommended as a great place to get your fix of Thai food.
