Having been walking the Anglesey Coastal Path for many years, my wife and I have dropped on umpteen noteworthy eating establishments. Banc rates up there with the best. Whether it be the the quality of the food, or the really good value, or the jovial quality of a happy man running his own cafe. In 70 miles of walking it is the only one we have had lunch at, then returned for afternoon tea, then had lunch again the next day. We enjoyed the quality (homemade quiche & sausage roll trice), the value, and especially the welcome. And I appreciate Staffordshire crockery. It is not actually on the Coastal Path, or even by the sea front. It is maybe 10 minutes away, with an interesting walk up the high street. But it is so worth seeking out. While we were there we got the impression it was well patronised by locals, which should be a recommendation in itself. I have just been telling 2 other families, coming to Anglesey how to find it. On a practical point, dogs are welcome in the garden. So obviously not when it is raining, but also after inclement weather when it is still unacceptable under foot (paw ?) We expect to call when we do the next bit of the Coastal Path.

Sadly the quality of the home made food was not really very good at all. Maybe we arrived on a bad day who knows but it's not somewhere that I would go back to

Whilst eating our food which was fine, the couple next to us aloud their dog to sit at the table and lick their dinner plates. The dog owners then proceeded to smoke a vape whilst there were no smoking signs. Cafe owners should make it clear about dogs licking customers plates and smoking. Spoilt our lunch

Looking forward to trying the welsh delicacies but having found an outside table we were told in no uncertain terms it was reserved and there was no room and we should have booked. We saw 2 small metal tables that I am sure could have been put together but by that time the lack of interest rather put us off. Thankfully the spa shop had picnic stuff which we ate in the pretty riverside park near a river which contained tiny trout. On the way back about 75 min later we noticed the oiutside terrace of the cafe was empty.

Having read the review here re dragons, we felt safe in going to this delightful cafe. They adhered strictly to covid regulations, which was very reassuring. The table was sanitised before we were invited into the small garden, and there was sanitiser on each table. We were given a warm and friendly welcome on each visit, as were our two dogs. The coffee, as we remembered from previous years, was superb. Food was excellent and well presented. We look forward to visiting again next year.

Called in for lunch today, warm friendly greeting by the owner, everywhere was spotlessly clean and Covid safe. Good lunch menu, we had paninis made fresh to order served with generous portions of fresh salad and crisps accompanied by a huge pot of tea for two (makes a nice change from a mug with a tea bag!). Can recommend and would go again.

Today my husband and I treated ourselves to lunch in the garden. We were able to take our dogs and water is provided for them. The menu was surprising. It had all the usual stuff but also a selection of things a bit different. Prices were very affordable for any pocket. Tea comes in a nice big pot so enough for two mugs each with an offer of extra water if you want it. All condiments are in sealed packets, as is sugar. The tables are sanitised before anyone is allowed to sit down. Hand sanitizer on every table and the staff really do wear masks above the nose all of the time. Anyone can feel safe here. The food was lovely. We both had the loaded potato skins which you can have with just cheese or chicken, ham and cheese with no price increase. The staff were so welcoming and treat locals and tourists to a pleasant experience. It’s very rare you can say this but there was absolutely nothing wrong! Service was fast too. I was told that they will be starting a men only event on Wednesdays from 6-8pm so boys if you want to get out without your wife and get fed at the same time it’s for you. Ladies get the men out of the house for a couple of hours!

We were severely & publicly reprimanded when we went to sit at a vacant outdoor table for lunch which had no reserved sign. We had unwittingly contravened sacrosanct policies to wait to be shown to a table and not wearing a face covering! We should have walked away but there were no other options for lunch available in the village. We put on face masked and were shown to an indoor table less than 2m from the front door! Sooo embarrassing!! In the end it really wasn't worth it as first & second menu choices were not available and the quiche was only 5cm.

We would have rated it a five star however the bill was priced incorrectly so ensure you check that. Despite this though our lunch was greatly enjoyable. We ate our lunch outside and the man who served us was very lovely! He was very accommodating and cracked jokes with our children. Take note though that this place only accepts cash payments. For your information guys there were two families who went elsewhere in the short space of time we were there because of this. If this is becuse of the chrges then simple economics would show that just one customer lost per day would outweigh any savings on the charges. Perhaps you should re-think this policy?

When we first went in to this cafe, all of their 4 tables were full, but we waited a few minutes and one became available for myself, my husband and our 18month old. The waiter told us they were busy and there was a wait on everything. OK. To be honest, he made it sound like it was our fault, but it was approaching my son's lunchtime, so we stayed. We waited 25 minutes before the waiter even spoke to us again. Then he came to take our order. I tried to order the soup for my son and was told that that would "take ages". Fine. Instead, I ordered beans on toast, and a toastie each for my husband and me. The waiter took our order to the kitchen. Back he came two minutes later to tell us that our toasties would "take a really long time, just to warn you." We left.

We visited this café as a family for breakfast at 10.30. We were informed that breakfast had finished which was fine. We were also told that half the kitchen equipment wasn't working. Really?? In July when this bay relies on tourism. If they cant get their kitchen fully functional in July, I don't hold out much hope for the other months of the year. We were still able to order bacon and sausage sandwiches. The waitress was extremely rude and discourteous. The food once it finally arrived, bearing in mind there were only 3 tables of people and it took 35 minutes, was mediocre. The milkshake was clearly powder with water added. The coffee was particularly bad, again a powdered cappuccino. If you combine bad service with poor quality food and drinks, I am unsure as to how this place remains open. My advice would be to go elsewhere. Lots of good cafes around and sadly this is not one of them.

This is a nice little cafe, reasonable prices etc. My wife and I had a full breakfast and a coffee each which was OK (decaf was instant, which was a shame). The ingredients weren't the highest quality but this was reflected in the price. The service pleasant enough....actually, no it wasn't. It seemed to be but it wasn't.Food etc was a genuinely average experience...but I'm afraid they lose a star or two here for refusing to provide my 8.5 month pregnant wife with a glass of water (she was very thirsty on arrival and needed a quick drink with her coffee) on the basis that they are on a water meter and they have to run it cold so we'd have to buy a plastic bottle of it. a) I wasn't born yesterday so don't treat me like I was b) I'm a local, not someone passing through on holiday so you've lost my future custom and you can bet I'll mention it if someone asks me! and c).....just ridiculous!!! Shame on you.I did mention this as politely as I could when I paid for the meal (including the bottle of water) but the 'water meter' statement came out again and then the person I was talking to totally blanked me! Oh well....you know what, another star off for dealing with it so badly. You made us both very angry, not because you didn't provide us with a curtesy of a glass of water (I know you don't 'have' to provide it, but that's not customer service), nope, it was the waffle about the water being on a meter etc....I'll let others judge you on that!Won't be coming back.

The cream tea we shared here was really nice. Loads of cream and jam, double butter too. The scones were a little generic, possibly shop bought. There were a lot of wasps here in August. But the interior and exterior of the cafe was modern, comfortable.

My family and I went at lunch time. It did get busy after we sat down. The young waiting staff were very polite but didn't seem to know the ropes yet? Maybe they were new? The food was nothing special. We were sat inside which was very nice and clean. We had originally been sat outside but because the wasps ended up on two of the sandwiches the young girl offered to make new sandwiches for us which we appreciated. Later I am sure I heard the lady who was the cook moaning about having to make the sandwiches again? Maybe because she was so busy but still unprofessional !! I wouldn't go back, I would prefer to try somewhere better.

We were looking for a cream tea whilst visiting Cemaes and chose the Heritage Centre. Our cream tea included a delicious home baked scone, clotted cream, jam and fresh strawberries and then a choice of tea or coffee. It was very reasonably priced and there were lots of other options including cakes, afternoon tea and sandwiches. There was an area to sit inside or outside on a sheltered sunny terrace area overlooking the river. Everything about the Heritage centre was excellent including presentation. attention to detail and customer service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

This was my first visit to the Heritage Centre and my husband and I had Tea for Two in the garden. It really did tick all my boxes. Efficient friendly service, clean china cups and spoons, covered sugar pots with sugar tongs and a very generous pot of tea. The tasty sandwiches, cakes, scones, jam and clotted cream were served on a stand. They have a very good choice of food and drinks, all reasonably priced. Also provided is an extensive range of information on local attractions.Highly recommended.

The centre offers an informal information centre, in addition to a super variety of teas, coffees and snacks. Local people have clearly had an input into the design and layout of this pleasant refurbished building

Only a handful of customers in the garden and none inside. However, 4 members of staff took an inordinate time to attend to each table and invariably got the orders wrong. Gave me the impression that it was a training centre for staff but they were receiving no guidance.

Turned up unexpectedly on a cool but sunny May morning. Sat outside in the sun sheltered from a cool breeze whilst we had delightful and tasty home-made scones and jam together with a most satisfying latte. The whole place was scrupulously clean and service with a smile. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you. We will return with the rest of our family to enjoy the riverside walk and perhaps afternoon tea! No idea what food or drink is like & won’t be going back again to find out !!We have only been occasional visitors to the heritage center but always found a welcome, good service, great food / coffee & excellent value for money, (& the dog always got some cheese ). Sadly, when we went there today, a totally different experience; we went in & sat down & were ignored for about 10 mins (even though there were only 5 other customers in ) Eventually our order was taken & instead of passing it to the cook, it was put to one side while a customer was complaining about being over charged ( staff couldn’t add up or use the till !! ). In due course our order went into the kitchen but then the cook/manager heard us talking to the dog & told us to “take that dog out side”, even though dogs are allowed in cafes, (but rightly not in food prep areas), so we left & got some nice sandwichs from the bakers over the road, where we also heard the Good News…..And the Good News is…..the people who used to run this café properly are now running ‘Coffee Cups in the Sail Loft’ at the heritage center, Amlwch Port, 5 miles away, see that listing.

I chose the chef special. The meat was cooked very well. The salads were fresh. It was very good with garlic and hot sauce.

We’ve been a few times, for tapas and for Sunday lunch. Food is consistently top notch, the Sunday roast is the best around! Great for a date night or a family meal, highly reccomend.
