Banana Tree Haywards Heath in Mid Sussex

Very tasty food and a good choice of Thai, Malaysian and other Asian foods.

We booked for my sister's hen do last weekend. The have a private room upstairs that has plenty of space and is away from the normal dining area. Although we were separate to the restaurant and bar, the service was still great and they didn't forget about us. All the staff that served us were very friendly, and the food and cocktails were lush. It was also really easy to pay on the app, it meant we could easily split it between a large group of people. Would visit again!

Alison the lady who served us was very lovely and caring made us feel special.

Great Asian fusion restaurant. Had a perfectly balanced Laksa (not too hot, not too tangy, not too salty!) with snappy noodles and a really crispy spicy grilled chicken that sang. My partner had a tender chilli beef with some fried to perfection nasi goreng. The food was great, no notes. They had 2 for 1 cocktails too, which was a cheeky plus.

This was meant to be a lovely family lunch out. We had looked at the menu from the Haywards Heath branch before we left, had chosen what we were going eat within our budget and dietary requirements and all seemed good but when we got there the lunch menu we had chosen from was not available and we ended up spending a lot more than we were planning. I hardly ate as the price difference was so huge, and so it ruined the best part of the day and I went hungry. We won't be coming again.

Family of four. We had a lovely meal. Plenty of vegan options. We have been twice now. Both servers were friendly. Our server was Giada this time. Pleased with the food and service. Great kids eat free on Sundays, too.

We visited Banana Tree for the first time recently and would thoroughly recommend this pan asian restaurant. The welcome was enthusiastic, the menu varied and service great! Many of the items on the menu are illustrated and the prices are very reasonable. A great addition to the restaurant scene on The Broadway.

Eaten in - which was a good experience (good food and 2 for 1 cocktails). Recently ordered a couple of times via deliveroo and they appear to have really picked up their game though things still took a good while longer than other takeaways it wasn't hours. Food is really good but a main and a side is not enough (portion sizes are fairly small) if you are hungry you need to order a few extra sides per person.

We went for Bottomless brunch today and it was brilliant. Great service and friendly staff. They didn’t start the 2 hour window until we’d actually ordered our first cocktail which was amazing and allowed us to make the most of the experience. They even put candles in the birthday girls dessert which was a lovely personal touch! Definitely recommend!

Had a great Mother’s Day lunch for three of us. Fresh food - the Lakota BBQ platter was excellent. 2 for 1 aperol spritz were lovely.

Fantastic server, great atmosphere, huge menu with really authentic flavours. Lunch tapas sets are great and good value. Highly recommend the chicken jawa with nasi goreng rice. Good cocktails and wine. Pretty good desserts. Brilliant lunch. Will return.

First time here and the food was fantastic, good size portions and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back - really enjoyable. The only one thing I would say isn’t about the restaurant but the company policy of automatically adding the service charge to the bill isn’t my preferred approach. I’ll leave a tip if I want but please don’t force me to have awkward conversations.

Dropped in on Sunday evening and asked if they did a takeaway, they said yes and we had to choose from the main menu and ended up paying the same price! So over £50 for three Pad Thai and some crackers ! Hmm food was ok nothing amazing. But at those prices will think again. If you are offering take away, price accordingly and at least throw in some free crackers!

Giada was great! They have an extensive allergen guide which is important since I can’t have milk or gluten, never had a bad reaction to the food. It’s on a pleasant street, love sitting outside for lunch on a nice day. A+
