Bamboo Garden Chinese Takeaway in Manchester

Food was an hour late, loop warm and extremely dry !!! I've ordered from here before and then it was over an hour late but tonight was very disappointing and won't be ordering from there again !!!!

Ordered online and collected about 10 minutes later. Fantastic service. Deluxe Dim Sum combination, Beef fried rice and Chicken Chow mein. Generous portions and VERY tasty food . My wife and I have not enjoyed a Chinese takeaway this much for years. Highly recommended.

I ordered special fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and barbecue ribs. the fried rice and the salt and pepper chicken was ok had better but the barbecue chicken wings was rotten the sauce spoilt the rest of my food, never again.

Poor. Ordered at 6pm. 7pm delivery time. Extended to 7.30pm. Still hadn’t been delivered at 8. Phone line constantly engaged. Finally got through, another 15 mins told to wait. 2.5 hours for delivery! Food cold when it did arrive. Gravy pots obscenely small despite ordering large! Never again.

Food wasn’t the best of quality.

First time ordering from here kingprawn chowmein was plain greasy soft noodles few prawns thrown in with no Chowmein sauce or veg a five year old could have done a better job salt and pepper chips were bland and chips tasted a day old like they was warmed through in a microwave salt and pepper chicken was OK if u could actually find a piece under the mountain of onions hot and sour soup tasty bland no flaver egg fried rice had never even seen an egg and once again very bland in taste won't be going again will stick to our usual. The only thing we did eat was the prawn crackers and they came free rather disappointed on our first visit will not be making a second

I am absolutely appalled at the curry we received - it was THE worst (and only bad) Thai curry I have ever had. It was the wrong colour and consistency and tasted nothing like it should. An unbelievable disappointment. I would like a refund!

Ordered from her a few times and always loved it... this time the salt and pepper chips were rubbery and the BBQ ribs was disgusting.

Even though the delivery of the food was quick, the quality of the food was shocking. Chips were stale, chicken in the sweet and shower chicken was chewy vegetables were under cooked and the duck spring rolls were to peppery.

Absolutely horrific - over cooked, poor quality. A waste of £15... the whole order ended up in the bin!!

Really nice food and I was thrilled that the restaurant complied with my request for no plastic boxes. Much appreciated guys and well worth a mention!

the worst Chinese iv ever had!! the chicken balls was so hard and there was chewy meat the spring rolls was horrid there was no filling but the noodles was nice, the delivery man couldn't understand English and was rude to me on the phone when he couldn't find my house and put the phone down on me 3 times!! also my food was cold by then I would never eat here ever!!

Customer service was appoling wanted to speak to the manager they wouldn't come to the phone food was cold and rang back for some egg friend rice because they missed it off the delivery then it was 45 late just for rice never coming back here again needs to sort there staff out never will recommend aswell

starters and mains were lovely, just the chips cold and a bit hard. other than that the food was lovely and really tasty

for us this is the only place for Chinese food. tonight’s order arrived 30 minutes after placing it and the quality was amazing as always. we are disabled and they always come to flat door with a smile. thank you again guys

food was okay I suppose. i wouldn’t rate it higher than okay... it’s weird, it all kinda tasted the same... the chow mein tasted no different to the prawn toast and the duck spring rolls had been nowhere near a duck and had quite a bit of water in them. which ran all over the place when you took a bite I’d have been fuming if I’d paid more for the meal but the portion sizes were good. the prawn toast came on some strange rice crispy strands which tasted like nothing and went straight in the bin when we realised we couldn’t identify if they were actually edible so they’re pretty pointless. overall... Okay. Quality... not so great taste: brill if you’ve got a cold and can’t taste anything anyway, not so brill if you’re looking forward to a tasty Chinese meal. delivery driver was really nice though and the food came hot and on time!

The Thai Green curry was a disgrace... no coconut milk, it was like a paste that they added spice too. I even had to call and complain. The person over the phone claimed that they put coconut milk but only a little... was even more angry as this was not true. I threw in the bin. Egg fried rice with sweet corn and peas... tasteless! ... absolutely dreadful!!!!!!! Not happy as wasted my hard earned money!!!!!!!

Ordered from here last night food came half a hour before it was due wasn’t hot the salt and pepper chicken pieces wasn’t nice and was full of onions and when I say full I mean full and about 10 little chicken pieces the chips wasn’t salt and pepper either tasted just like oven chips wasn’t proper chippy chips and as if they had been warmed up order was over 20 pound and it went in the bin safe to say I won’t be ordering from here again

It was one of the best chinese takeaways I have been to for a long time! There were so many dishes to choose from and the portion sizes were generous for the price. I would definitely order from here again.

Food was really bad I never leave bad reviews food is usually really nice but I had a few mouth fulls and couldn’t eat no more it was disgusting my usual Chinese was closed so thought I’d order from here gutted because 25 pound was wasted kids didn’t like it and my partner said it was horrible I’ve never wasted so much food before Sade to say I will not be ordering ever again from here again

It is a gamble when you order, sometimes the food is delicious and other times it is terrible. i am guessing they have different chefs cooking different dishes at the same time so it is pot luck if the food comes to you delicious or tasting like cardboard from Costco. last time i bought pork balls, the pork was tender and juicy with the batter crispy and delicious, but today the pork is dry and the batter was like fried soft bread. the best part was the soup which has kept the same high quality. This takeaway needs to train the new guy up properly

Lemon honey chicken was dry and bland.. chicken and cashew nut had an unusual sour taste.. will not be ordering again .. ever!

food was average, the restaurant forgot our spring rolls, the chow mien was tasteless and sticky, salt and letter chicken was nice and so were the chips but i would not order from here again.. I have had much better chineses

The prawn balls were battered prawns not really balls but awesome because of It! Really tasty spring rolls and fantastic salt and pepper chips

My misses and I love bamboo gardens, always amazing quality and always beautifully prepared. Spot on salt and pepper wings. Always comes before or on time and always piping hot. If a note is left the staff never forget what you ask.. Great work guys :)

Food was delivered early yes. But by one of the rudest drivers ever who just shoved the food at us and barked the amount to be paid before almost walking away without the money! Chips were luke warm and covered in more salt that the dead sea contains. the fried rice had huge dried (And I mean as dry as the desert) peas in it. All in all I will NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE EVER AGAIN.

the salt and pepper king prawns were really nice however I have also ordered czeshuan chicken and instead I've received something with red sour chilli sauce and when complained the manager of the restaurant said they've delivered the right thing when I know for sure it's not. disappointment because the food is nice but terrible service

First time ordering and the food arrived early, piping hot and really tasty!

First time I have ordered from here as my usual restaurant was closed. So disappointed. Ordered the Peking Duck, about 30% of the meat was fat which had to be thrown away. The Chicken and Sweetcorn soup was so thick and tasteless it was unbelievable. Just tasted of water. After 1 spoonful that also went in to the bin! The Prawn Toast was nice so ended up spending nearly £25 for 2 slices of prawn toast and a bottle of coke!! Would not recommend or reorder.
