From miserable service through to the pie which had sat long enough to render it’s base impenetrable by mere cutlery. Fortunately the beans and gravy masked limp chips. I arrived so hungry and tired I couldn’t be bothered to complain not that it would have made any difference to the prison guard behind the counter. Walk on by and spare yourself...

OK we called here for breakfast on way to Windsor and to be Frank like most of these service stations we were expecting the usual High prices, low quality, and small portions. We'll we couldn't have been further from the truth. Fresh cooked eggs were supplied along with a full breakfast. Any 10 items for £8.95. So 2 breakfasts with teas n coffees came to £20.70, Sausages were like the Irish Richmond Ones and the bacon was quality back bacon along with tasty mushrooms and Beans, Hash Brown's ect. All in All worth the money and good portion size for the price would definitely use this place again .

Peterborough Services on the A1 have mainly typical outlets, There were queues at the burger and fried chicken points. But one can also buy food at Bakehouse which had no queue. For less than £10 there was chicken and chips and peas and gravy. In fact the portion was so big that we had one portion and asked for 2 plates and had more than enough to eat each. Good value and good service.

Nos detuvimos en los servicios para el almuerzo en estos servicios de la autopista de camino a Kent, esperando a tener que pagar precios más altos, como es habitual para este tipo de comida. Luego encontramos BakeHouse. Había una variedad de sándwiches, baguettes, paninis, rebanadas de pizza, rollitos de salchicha y más, todos t los precios muy razonables. La comida era deliciosa, bebidas muy agradable, junto con un buen servicio. Sin duda volveremos cuando en la zona, y lo recomiendo.

730:00 en una noche de domingo a 4 horas de viaje. Rollo de pollo desmenuzado y patatas fritas sonaba decente. Patatas fritas tibia. Sacó el pollo era sencillo, en seco, no cocido, como cerdo desmenuzado por ejemplo - parecía como algún tipo de MRM que habían sido triturados. Ni siquiera cualquier ensalada en o con ella. Por lo que pareció completamente insuficiente y sabor 1980 Tarifa - ingredientes indiferente como una cantina. Nunca más.

The Bakehouse offers good drinks and snacks......but we accepted the offer of having the cheese & onion slices warmed through..........and the oven looked disgusting when it was opened. If that needs a thoroughly good clean, what about the rest of the place ?

Stopped at Peterborough Services for a break and discovered Bakehouse. The food was freshly cooked and made a very welcome change from the usual fast food outlets. Service was slightly chaotic but would definitely eat here again. The cup of tea was particularly good. Breakfast bap was larger than expected and decent proper bread. Choose your own fillings or have a full English breakfast.

We stopped off here for a sandwich lunch today. The coffee was excellent but the ham salad and cheese salad sandwiches were very "wet" bread and tasteless. The packaging didn't have a date on which was worrying and when I asked the assistant why dates were not on the pack I was told they were made fresh daily, and even made up as and when they were needed. But in my opinion the sandwiches we ate where definitely not freshly made today. Think I will go to M&S in future for sandwiches as they are dated, fresh and definitely not "wet" bread.

Stopped off at the services for breakfast and saw Bakehouse. The unit,although small looked great. The display of breakfast items looked and tasted fabulous. The service was excellent, all of them bright and cheerful and the coffee was better than the normal chains. Great place to visit. Will be back again.
