Bakchich Lebanese Restaurant in Liverpool

I've been here before and service has normally been reasonably quick. We called in for lunch last Friday and took advantage of the lunchtime offer of two courses for £19. We ordered Chicken wings for starters and mixed Shawarma for mains. We waited over half an hour for the starters to turn up and when they did we were given the main meal at the same time. The problem with that is that by the time you've eaten all the chicken wings your main meal is starting to get cold. The food was excellent so I couldn't do too much, just hope they don't do it again next time I call in.

absolutely never again! Sent back my shishtawok as it was undercooked, no apology was given. No communication whatsoever from the manager. And the asian waiter who served us and was near his end shift, he saw that we returned the dish and did not bother doing any action, and just left. And at the end, the dish stayed on bill

All time favourite for authentic Lebanese and Moroccan food. Very generous portions and tasty food. Been here for tens of times. Must visit place for muddle Eastern food in Liverpool.

Good restaurant, nice Lebanese food

Food and service was great. We were hidden behind the corner of the bar which was great for privacy but missed some of the atmosphere.

I ordered Lahem B'agine (it's not lahmacun) thinking that it would come with a garnish or even a wedge of lemon. It was sprinkled with pomegranate bit to make it look authentic. Mediocre & small it was. And a warm yogurt drink after a recommendation, came with a straw. A straw in a restaurant, come on! The service was hot and cold (not friendly or unfriendly). It was okay. Would recommend.

This restaurant serves both Lebanese and Moroccan dishes. We tried the Moroccan cuisine and highly recommend it! The Harira soup, lamb tagine, and vegetable couscous are definitely worth trying

Came with my 2 babies, the atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were incredibly welcoming & friendly, unfortunately I didn't get the mans name, who welcomed us through the door. He was very lovely and friendly towards my children 🙂 I got a lamb shwarma burger, which was flavoursome but cold 🥶 and the bun was not toasted in any way, hence the 3 star. Unfortunately, I've tasted better, BUT I would return to try other dishes, the place was clean and the prices are i believe a little hit and miss.

This is quite a nice place for Lebanese food halfway up Bold St. The restaurant feels more of a Kebab Shop/Diner, than an actaul Restaurant. Seating is on a first come, first served - don't try reserving a Table, you'll still join the back of the Queue when you arrive 🫤 Service is okay but a bit impersonal. Food is good but it does seem a little overpriced for what you get👎. The Chicken in the Shish Taouk was great as too was the Roza Lemonade 👍 I may not return for a Dinner, but would definitely call in to grab a quick Lunchtime Kebab

Had another lovely meal here on Friday evening - I had the chicken shawarma platter and my sister had the butterfly chicken burger and fries. The portions are always generous and the food is always fresh & hot. We come to Bakchich every time we visit Liverpool and we’ve never had a bad meal yet! Would happily recommend this place to anyone 😊

I try to visit here on every visit to Liverpool. The food is excellent, and the service and atmosphere are wonderful.

Had a delicious meal at Bakchich. We had the dip platter, the shawarma and hummus, and a the chickpea soup. Everything was delicious. We were curious about the “pink stuff,” and learned it was turnip pickled in beetroot, then our server brought us a bowl since we were so fascinated. Tea and lemonade were also delicious, especially the Moroccan mint.

I recently visited Backchich restaurant in Liverpool and overall had a very pleasant experience. The service was impeccable, with attentive and helpful staff. From the front desk to the table service, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. The atmosphere in the restaurant is vibrant and welcoming, almost transporting me to a real Middle Eastern market. However, one thing that bothered me was the choice of background music. Despite the themed decor, the pop music didn’t fit in with the ambiance, somewhat breaking the immersion that the place was trying to provide. The quality of the food was good, but I felt that the flavors lacked depth. The falafel, in particular, was disappointing, as it seemed frozen rather than homemade, which negatively affected the dining experience. Some dishes could have benefited from a touch of extra seasoning and authenticity. To sum up, Backchich offers excellent service and a lovely atmosphere, but there is still room for improvement in the music selection and quality of the food. It is worth a visit, especially for the impeccable service.

Staff service is always not as you expect, I used to be in this restaurant too many times and get served by different members of staff and I always felt like they did not care about you as a customer and even about their job to do it in the right way very little good manner, nearly rude all the time. Now the food it’s not excellent but it’s not too bad it’s just okay, especially for their prices recently “a Zaatar mannish” for 10£ that is a total scam crazy 🤪 I love the atmosphere but I do not think I will be back there I get enough of the toxic staff and more with their growing prices.

Fantastic lunch, had the meat mezze for 1 and my friend had a chicken dish. It was so tasty, fresh and authentic. We returned for coffee, hot chocolate, coconut cheesecake and ice-cream later. Beautiful friendly people.

Had a meal here after being told by Elif across road that theres was no spaces after being told as a single person i didnt need to book a table so came here and being a lover of Middle Eastern food was not disappointed,very friendly and hospitable staff and service too!

Used to love this place but unfortunately felt disgusted today, the guy in maroon colour shirt has a massive attitude as if doing his clients a favor. No manner's. I kept waiting when will be approach to take my order, called him politely, he comes with rolling eyes.would have left but I had already waited so long that's decided to stay back.The management should take note of this , otherwise people like him will your business

Great atmosphere with amazing tasty food and decent portions served by helpful staff. Meat is halal. Second visit and with a fee friends. Seated quickly, great service with engaging recommendations which were spot in for portion sizes. We had the mixed veg mezze and large mixed grill for 3 men. We had enough. The salad was enough, lavazza bread soft and the meat was tender and juicy. Very yum. Drinks were nice as was the Moroccoan tea. Unfortunately out of baklava so missed out on the dessert.

I have been to this restaurant several times and it is amazing. One of the highlights of the bold street food scene. Their fresh juices are well worth a try and their platters and grills are always delicious. They have a white garlic sauce there that I wish I could buy from them to put on everything, it's fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant looks great and gives a classic middle Eastern feel. 10/10

I visited Liverpool for the first time today and had a lovely meal at Bakchich Restaurant with my wife. The food was amazing and we both really enjoyed the mix grill which came with a bowl of rice and a bowl of fries. The meat was marinated well and cooked to perfection. The team members were all really friendly and helpful. Special mention for Anna whose customer service was exceptional and made us feel very welcome. Keep up the good work! Apologies didn’t have time to take pictures of the food as we were too hungry after a five hour drive lol. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again on our next trip to Liverpool.

Date night ruined because a server spilled hot Lamb tagine stew on my girlfriend's leg. She ran off to the toilet to clean it up, meanwhile, staff were cleaning the floor, table and chair. After a couple minutes, another employee asked if she was ok and apologised, and I had to tell her that I'm more worried about my gf being burned. It wasn't until then that they went to check up on her in the women's toilets. When my gf came back, she was too embarassed to leave (or even stand up) in a heavily stained dress through Bold Street and just wanted to finish our meal and get out. Once we finished, she went to the bathroom to check on her leg. It was only then that the manager came to speak to me alone. He apologised by saying "Sorry, mistakes happen" to which I replied "They do but that shouldn't and I'm going to have to complain" and he rudely responded "So mistakes don't happen?". I asked for the bill and, though I didn't hear them, it seemed like they were arguing over whether to remove the tagine. The manager sent the server to us to apologise and to charge us for the meal. In the end, they decided to charge us for my meal and a coke. Her leg did get burned (which she told a member of staff), though it's hard to see because of her complexion. Her dress is completely ruined now too. We wish we just walked out.

Best place to go in town with the family for food. Having all 6 daughters and my wife clean their plates says it all.

Delicious food with good prices. It took them a long time to bring our dish, but it was all very tasty.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and pleasantly found the place quiet. Quickly shown to our table for 6 by nice staff. The menu is quite extensive and we did get carried away and ordered too much food. We were surprised at the size of portions which makes sense as the prices are quite high. Food overall really nice, kids enjoyed it too with the mocktails very nice. They kindly gave up some plastic boxes to takeaway any leftovers. Mens toilet I would give 8 out of 10, clean and tidy with some improvements. Overall I would recommend.

Delicious and authentic food. I went with my partner on Saturday in the evening and the service was good despite being busy. We ordered a meat mezze platter and a mixed grill meshawi for a person. Sizeable portions, as you can see on the photo, despite being for one person each plate. We couldn't finish it! The tea was really nice too. The platter, the mixed grill, a coke and 2 teas were less than £50. I'd strongly recommend this place.

Visited last night after being unimpressed with our initial choice of the Greek restaurant a few doors down and we didn’t regret it. This place is the real thing, authentic home cooked food at such good value for money. The sharing starter of dips and bread was delicious and the main course of shawarma was unreal, so much delicious chicken and lamb on a flat bread served with rice, salad and fries. There was so much I took some home and ate it for lunch for two the next day. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for more!

Food was really good as usual. But the manager was a bit miserable. No joy in the room.

Very dirty restaurant, no cleanliness at all. Food is very expensive and presented very badly in dirty old utensils. I have ordered a lamb shank with bread. They gave me very small bread and I have to pay for extra bread to finish the meal.This is the way they are looting. Chicken with rice was very bad , rice were re heated,not fresh. Avoid this place.

First time visiting and wasn’t disappointed, 2 of us eating, the service was superb. We weren’t rushed, assisted with the menu when we asked about the size of the dishes, which are good size portions. Food was served quickly, everything was fresh and tasty. Fair price for Liverpool city centre, our bill was £21 per person including a soft drink and cup of tea following the meal. Great choice for vegetarians too

The food is good, yes, but I noticed an exaggeration in the prices. You can't pay 4.5pounds for a 750ml bottle of water

I recently visited this restaurant and had a very disappointing experience. Firstly, the food was completely tasteless. Even the simplest dishes were bland. Additionally, everything was extremely greasy, making the food difficult to eat. On top of that, some dishes were dry, giving the impression they weren't cooked properly or had been sitting out too long before being served. As if that weren't enough, the prices were exorbitant compared to the quality provided. I do not recommend this place if you’re looking for a good meal.

Food portion was good but taste is very average. Shish tavuk was very tasteless.

Have been here countless times over the years but this was the first time for a while. Food fine but nothing special, definitely too expensive, I ordered a grilled piece of salmon with rice and bread and ended up paying £20.50 for what felt like £10 worth of food. Dip platter fine but wouldn’t be surprised if the dips were all scooped out of a big cheap pot bought from a supplier, they did not feel made in house. Service was slow and the staff all seemed to be generally uninterested in working there. Probably won’t be back.

Had a great meal here Saturday afternoon. Service was great food well presented and great portions. Sat outside so we had a really good vibe. Good value for money too meals and drinks for 4 just under £85.

Came here for my graduation meal and the staff couldn’t have been more kinder. My phone was almost dead and they kindly offered me a power bank. The food was delicious with amazing portions and quality was also fabulous. Will be back again! Loved the olives and pickles, as a pickle addict, I loved them. The meat and the lentil soup were also amazing!

I ordered a lamb shank and mixed shawarma. The food was served 4 minutes after I ordered it, it was warm and went cold very quickly. They obviously reheated the food instead of cooking it fresh. The service was terrible as well. The staff were standing around talking to each other and ignoring customers, it seemed they didn't want to be there. Waste of time and money.

Lovely little restaurant on Bold Street. Very good welcome and service. Food was delicious, 4 plates to share, excellent value. No alcohol on sale but Mohitos were great.

The waiter who was working today at 5 pm. He was very rude. I didn’t enjoy my food because of him. He was really in a rush and I ordered chicken shawarma wrap and it wasn’t that much .

I normally enjoy Lebanese food. The food here was not good the meat was very greasy and not good quality. But the price of the food reflected we would get premium quality Me and my girlfriend left most of it on the plate. I was extremely disappointed as we were looking forward to good quality nice food. 1st and last visit to this place. Will try the Turkish across the road next time.

This was a real disappointment. Service took ages and everyone that came in after us was served first. The food looked good but lacked any flavour at all. The ‘pizza’ was soggy and tasted of nothing. Absolutely would not recommend, the worst Lebanese food I’ve ever eaten and had the displeasure of paying for.

Not sure why it gets a high rating as we thought the food was poor, lacking in taste and disappointing (halloumi wrap and the Bakchich pizza). When the server collected the food, they also said that particular 'pizza' wasn't nice and she wouldn't recommend it. The service was adequate but the person at the till is super rude. Finally, there's some sort of vibration coming from the floor underneath, reverberating through the chairs and table which is uncomfortable and distracting. Overall, would not recommend this place whatsoever.

Paid £18 for a tiny lamb skewer that was full of fat. Loads of salad and rice to overcompensate for the lack of meat. Chilli sauce was nice but just wasnt good value for money from a quantity or quality perspective.

Amazing food! I'll definitely be going back. Staff were all really friendly and quick to serve you, I'd definitely recommend the shawarma platter, everything is fresh and full of flavour. You won't regret coming here

Lovely Lebanese restaurant with delicious food.

One of the worst breakfast I've ever had in my life . Everything was bland I don't think the chef put any effort in making it, everything was left on the plate the waitress didn't even bother asking if the food was OK, she just took the payment. NEVER AGAIN AND IT EXPENSIVE, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EXTARA TEA OR COFFEE.

The falafel wasnt good at all, my box which costed 7.5 had 5 really small balls and no salad. I had the same portion of falafel wih alot of salad and vegetables for the same price in go Falafel. The falafel didn taste at all
