Baildon Hall in Bradford

Went with a friend for Sunday Lunch. Not greeted on arrival, had to find a member of staff. Was shown to our seat, advised the chef would be told we were there then just left alone. There is a bar but due to lack of staff there was nobody there. We waited for our meal for quite a while but when it did arrive it was good, hot and plenty of it. Still not had a drink and nothing offered , even though tea and coffee advertised as part of the meal. We had to call over a staff member to ask for gear drinks. The dining hall as a whole is very old, and yes, it’s an old hall , but it did lack an atmosphere and rather shabby. There seemed to be only 3 staff working so everything was very slow. Another table was overheard saying it felt like school dinners! Even though the food was lovely it didn’t feel like a restaurant, which was very disappointing.
