Bahar's Kebab And Burger Bar in Worthing

Absolutely disgusting restaurant would NOT recommend at all not even to dogs! Made me terribly ill for a week! To then find out through friends they deal terrible drugs in the work place! Rude staff, isn’t clean or hygienic at all after I witnessed the staff picking their nose then after dealing my friends food! Should get shut down.

Please do not bother. Food was hour and 15 minutes late. Despite ringing after 45mins the food remained elusive. Arrived stone cold and disgusting. Owner expressed no interest to rectify nor responsibility. Very rude on the phone. Fact is there is a lot of competition locally, so it's unlikely this place will be around much longer with this approach. Go elsewhere and avoid!

Slow & unreliable. Delivery times just get longer and longer. If you don’t have a spare hour don’t bother! AVOID

I own a shop 3 doors down from Bahar and am pleased to say that this has become my weekly treat, alternating between a half pounder meal deal or a Small Doner meal deal. Burgers are good quality and cooked to order, salad is always crisp and fresh and topped off with good quality sauce unlike many other take-away's. Kebabs are also great, I always go for the small and just about manage to finish it. Friendly owner that takes time to say hello and generally remembers my order.

Terrible. We ordered on a Sunday just before 2pm. Order still hadn't arrived by 4pm. Couldn't get through on the phone neither could the food app we placed the order with. The Bahar said our order had been delivered at 3.40pm......They lied. We got our money back and went elsewhere. Avoid this place!!!

Chucked all food in the bin. Chicken nuggets were burnt and kebab was tasteless. When I tried to call the shop phone it was engaged for 45 mins.

I ordered it earlier in the day for 5.40pm,they added 10 minutes then at 6.05 I had to ring to see what was going on? to find out they had tried to deliver it at 4pm when I put the order in. I wasn't back from work till5.30, but they didn't try and redeliver at the correct time!! The food was lovely though.

If you are a kebab fan, these guys are awesome. I have been converted. They should give me shares. :-)

Food was Luke warm, horrible chips, kebab swimming in grease and mayo, burger was flavourless and swimming in mayo, chicken nuggets where hard! Milk shake ordered cake and it was a yazoo that rrp for £1 (says on bottle) yet still being charged £1.20 for them, overall very disappointing and I would not order again!

Very tasty meal, enough for 3 hungry people.

Don't t usually have a kebab for lunch but today I did and it was great.👍 Chicken cooked slowly so it was really moist and super tasty. Bloody Lovely 😊

weve used this company many times. but recently their delivery times have been very slow but last order took over an hour and 45 mins and when it did arrive the food was cold and the order was completely wrong what we originally ordered cost more than what we received and no refund was offered and the guy on the phone didn't really seem to care as he was to busy talking to customers in the shop., won't use ever again very very poor service all round . if I could give no stars I would .

Food alright and to collect your good... but delivery isn't your strong point!!

Order was wrong and given a substitute item. Called up and really helpful however 45 mins after everyone else at their food my replacement arrived. Chicken was not cooked properly. Disappointed. Contacted just eat to request a refund through chat and the agent left... poor experience overall.

Food is over an hour late and still waiting for it , called the takeaway twice and just eat go in contact with them aswell still waiting

Had to call to chase order, when it arrived the driver didn't have change so had to raid money box to get correct money. Food had clearly been reheated in microwave. Won't be using them again.

normally everything is fine from here but not this time, had blue plastic type string stuck in all the chicken in the kebab, called to say about it, the chef was extremely rude but ended up sending another, I then receive a small when ordered a large, called and got shouted at by the chef, 3 hours after ordering I finally get what I paid for, that was after several more calls and being spoken to like a child. never again will I order from here!!

They added 10 minutes on for delivery then it arrived at the original time anyway. Food was fine but portion size seems to depend on the mood of the day rather than why you order - sometimes you're luckier than other times.

Didn't get exactly what I ordered it is asked for cheesecake and got chocolate cake and I asked for chips in pitta bread and salad and I got just chips except for them two the burger was nice

TKebab was like leather, almost inedible, and incredibly salty. Will not be using this place again!!!

I ordered my food nearly hour and half ago, my original delivery time was 20.15 which was pushed back to 20.25, at 20.35 I rang shop who told me mine was being cooked next and that the chef is busy and they are short of drivers! Poor service and tried to make me feel bad for chasing my order, I can not review the food as I am still waiting

Took 1hr 20mins to deliver order was wrong which seems to be the norm judging by other reviews, phoned up for refund of the difference and they couldn't help so will need to raise a complaint with Just Eat don't understand how you can get it wrong when it's written down just seems like they are not bothered when orders are wrong.

My only complaint was the fact nobody read my comments for salt and vinger and sauce choices etc. Poor amount of salad in the kebab (never had so little) which was ironic as I had requested extra salad. Both burgers had ketchup one should have been burger sauce! Both burgers should have had cheese only one did. Everyone ate and still enjoyed there food. Next time I think I will just pick up and know my order will be right

Always eat here now. Excellent food. Delivery about 45mins which I think is fair enough for a busy outlet.

all in all pretty good here only problem I have is that occasionally the food gets here pretty late sometimes. and a couple of times items have been wrong or forgotten. honestly can't complain about the food quality. its pretty awesome which is why I keep ordering from here.

Completely mucked up my order, orderd cheesy chips and got plain and then ordered onion rings and received none! Tried calling and none of their contact numbers work! Had to phone just eat customer service in the end, even they could not get through to the restaurant. Not happy.

Called in here for a doner kebab off the rotating skewer. Thought they'd just slice me a bit off, put it in a pitta and I'd be off. Well, they stated slicing, made some kebabs, more slicing, more kebabs. After about 20 minutes I asked 'which ones mine?', reply was that they were doing delivery orders first. Fast food? Torture more like watching all these kebabs being made but not one for me. I was the only customer! Tip - if you are hungry and have anger issues, maybe best to look elsewhere

Phone up after it was 45 mins late after already waiting an hour and they said give them 30mins !!

They were running late, no courtesy phone call. I called them they said it was going out door. Half an hour later they called back to say the order was wrong and I needed to re-order 2045...I put order in at 1900.

Don't touch this place! Ordered a delivery but nothing after over an hour. Phoned to enquire where my order was. Apparently they couldn't find my address, but didn't call to follow up. They said they'd recook fresh and send out ASAP. A further 45 minutes later the food arrived. Upon unpackaging I found all side orders had simply been reheated, but more worryingly, the kebabs were rubbery and had been doused in very very hot chilli sauce. I had never eaten a kebab with sauce hotter than vindaloo before, let alone soaked (it was dripping) in it. When I rang to complain they were sarcastic, almost blaming me for having an address their driver was unable to find. Their excuse for the chilli sauce? It was the chef's own 'personal' concoction! I said they were next door to an Indian and the flavour of the chilli was identical to one served in a very hot curry. They found it funny but admitted we'd been stitched up and offered a free meal. When we went to them at the time they asked, a few days later, they had no knowledge of any complaint. And yet the guy denying this was exactly the same guy who offered the free meal. I hope the owners wake up to the spiteful worker, before they lose more customers.

Never turned up. They said I was not in but guess what I got cameras and they also said you did not turn up. My 5 year old son did not eat until 20:00 as I had to go somewhere else. Thank you so much.

I have been eating here for prolly as long as they have been open. Food is always very good. I do have to say the XL chips tonight where a disappointing portion! £2.20 should get you a fair amount of fries (like in a chip shop) tonight it was a poor amount.

I ordered a kebab today at 2pm it arrived at 3:30pm the meat was bone dry and the chips are oily and looked liked they have been recooked about ten times. I phoned and complained and they said they would send me a fresh one out, 5pm I'm still waiting! They took the phone off the hook so I couldn't get through, so i had to drive from goring to worthing to get a refund! Disgusting food, cheap meat and dirty oil! I wouldn't feed this food to my dog! Avoid at all cost!!

Arrived in Worthing very late after an horrendous journey from the West Country. I was astonished to find that a busy Seaside Town was closed for business by 11pm, including room service in our hotel!!!!! We was served by a very pleasant chap who cooked us fresh kebabs and burgers at 11.50pm with a smile and heaps of information on the local area.

Paid by card, they took the money but Food never arrived. They didn't answer our calls for over an hour but when they did answer they said food was on its way. But still never turned up.

I order from Bahar frequently. The food is always good. The delivery time could be improved though as it often takes close to an hour before the food arrives after ordering.

I am not a "take away person" but I was starving so I asked my taxi driver for any recommendations in the area. He gave me Bahars number. My shish kebab was delightful. I have ordered since and no disappointment. Very good!

Donar meat was old and dry. Shish kabob was great. Sad to see quality going down.

Food turned up half an hour late was literally left on the door step and then they left after knocking. Food was slightly over cooked with sweaty salad and chips were cold. This really disappointed me this time as usually its a good service.

The food was meant to arrive at 15:55, the restaurant did not answer any of my calls, at 16:30 I got in contact with just eat customer service who tried to get hold of the takeaway however the takeaway did not answer, at 17:10 after still not receiving the food or being able to get in contact with the resturant I was able to get a refund off of JustEat

Food ordered at 1915 for 1935, changed to 1945 served 1955. Too long a wait! Requested no chilli or onion got both. Iskender is delicious..

Ordered x2 kebabs at 8.45 didn't arrive until 9.50 phoned them at 9.40 to be told they were busy and was sorry to then have the phone put down on me ( barring in mind it's a Thursday night ) dred to think what service would be like at the weekend ... Then delivery driver rang us as he was given wrong address and was in Worthing town centre we are in east Worthing ... By time food got to us it was cold not impressed poor customer service all round AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ordered our food at 4.30pm and wanted it delivered for 8/8.30pm as we were going out to run a beaver group leaving my plder brother at home. Received a call at 5pm from my brother to say the food has turned up 3 hours early. We were not impressed and had to reheat it all when we got in at 8. Really not happy

I drink was warm not cold. My food for was very late from the packaging it Looks like it's been reheated it several times At the moment I'm suffering with diarrhoea

Horrible took ages to arrive, they got both my dishes wrong one was supposed to be a large chips and they gave me a small, the burger was greasy and has none of my salad or any sauce in It the bun was soaked in grease will not be ordering from there again...

We ordered mix kebab many times before and there was never a problem but today we received hand full of meat for £9 and when I call restaurant there was no explanation or apology given. Definitely not order from them again

45min quoted when ordered online called shop when food was still not there after 1h 20min not received an apology and had to wait another 25 min for food getting delivered. I assume when we called food wasn't even made. Guy was rude and blamed it was busy. If it was busy and they couldn't deliver in the time frame quoted I would expect a call to let us know. When the food arrived the chicken kebab was really dry. Had food from them several times before but always picked it up and it was good but after this experience I will not order again from them. Loads of other kebab takeaways in town.

Food is great but took hour and half to arrive. Girl answering phone is very rude also and doesn't seem to give a monkeys! When food did arrive it was hot and very tasty! Top tip: if ordering don't order after 8pm unless you want to be tucking in at half 9!!!

Food was delivered late, when I called was told driver had left (later found out that he left the shop 15 mins after I was told), called a second time to be told "not my fault I have too many orders is it?" Whoever i spoke to was very rude! Would have been nice to have been called to let me know that they were running behind. Very disappointed

Haven't had a take away here for a while as had a few problems with them...thought it's been a long time, give it a go and yet again placed the order, said it would be 45 mins...an hour and 15 mins later it arrives, cold and again didn't get the order right. Not going back anymore!

Very bad service, after an hour and a half of waiting I got fed up and CANCELLED.

Never again!! Seriusly Guys... after 2 hours i called them and they said, they didn't get any order from us because the paper run out from the printer... 30 minutes later the food arrived.. was soggy and the x-large kebab was the same as the large..

Had brilliant food before but this visit we were extremely unimpressed, waited an hour and 35 minutes for our food. Placed an order at 6:06pm rang them after an hour they told me my order had left waited half hour rang them again then waited another 10minutes for my food to arrive and it was stone cold, a couple of piece of the lamb shish kebab was really chewy and tough to pull apart with my teeth. Also there was loads of juices or something dripping out of my kebab. Would rather get my money back to be honest. Which is a shame cos they do nice food.

The chips weren't chips, they were fries. The cod was poor quality frozen fillet, and the instructions (no tomato in salad) were ignored.
