Uncle Jim's Kebab House in Worthing

Didn’t answer phone, 8 times after calling! Tried to Order two meals, didn’t answer again and again, gave up in the end! Really liked the food previous but an absolute mission to order from!

Absoulte joke tried ringing so many times no answer rang about 8/9 times got no answer tried on many diffrent phone numbers but like I say no answer won't be using again

Loved it, dont often eat kebabs as I have a strict diet, this was bloody lovely, staff were great and even threw in a few chips, my kebab shop of choice from now

For years I've used the same kebab shop in Salvington (I'm not going to mention which one), until I compared the review rating and found it so different. So I tried Uncle Jim's to compare. Well, I know where to get my kebabs from now on. So much better.

The chips were amazing and well made but i cant say the same about the kebabs i found many raw peices of meat which put me off.If it was just 1 piece i wouldnt be writing this but there was multiple pieces that were uncooked.if you're looking to get some chips you should get them her but as of kebabs i wouldnt be so sure and their official website has no wayto report this issue.

Always the best chicken Shish around, great customisation options. Order direct from their website, not using Just Eat etc. Lovey burgers and the doner is pretty good too. We come here often. Sometimes the burger buns are a bit flimsy and have a tendency to fall apart, but that would be the only minor grumble, and you see this at a lot of places.

Finished work late recently & went looking for something still open found this place ordered the meat tray & when I got it back home we couldn't believe how nice it was the quality was better than most!! Thanks uncle Jim we will return!!!

This place is ok. It does the standard fare of a kebab takeaway. Burgers, kebabs and chips. Tasty food, cooked well. Pretty standard which is good as I have no peeves about this place. You don't need to be drunk to come here.

Never had problems before but for some reason it was particularly bad this evening. I ordered and paid for cheesy chips and got plain chips which were really soggy. My 2 children had chicken nuggets and chips kids meals which they couldn't eat as the chicken nuggets were really dry and the chips were soggy. It's a shame really as we use these guys most of the time.

Ordered a large lamb shish wrap without salad. Came with barely any lamb in and full of salad. Chips soaking wet and desert frozen solid. All for 25 quid. Absolute shambles will never order from here again

Ised to love Uncle Jim's. Not now sadly. Dont know if its different staff, but they have lost our custom. Food arrived late and missing part of the order. Called them, and they couldn't have cared less. No offer of replacing it or refund. Chips were pretty rank too. Really disappointed.

Very disappointed very poor service i ordered my food at 10:30 pm and after hour 30 minutes ring them back, and ask where my food ? Members off stuffs tell me my food was on way to me ,and will arrive shortly them 30 minutes later, my food still not be delivered to me , i ring back and ask to talk to the manager and i got told manager was out on delivery 🤔 and would ring me back 10 minutes . ( i never know any manager do delivery to be honest ) the manager phone back, and ask him where my food was ? He said im sorry be on way and add bad day well try do want i do for living them tell me u add a bad day !!!! Now is 12:47 and still not add my food . Very truly disappointed experience .NEVER ORDER FROM THiS KEBAB HOUSE AGAIN as expected better service from manager .

You are not on a conveyor belt.... dishing out food quickly due to supply am demand.... their longevity is there because of the way they serve their food! My favourite Kebab joint for the last 20 years....good stuff!!

When I was a child I used to go to a barbers that was right next to a kebab house. This place must have been open all hours, because I'd go along and the football would be cheering from the radio yet I could still smell the whiff of the doner kebab as I went to get my locks trimmed. That smell is nostalgic. That smell is here. Only the toppermost top quality meats on the spit in Uncle Jim's. Greet texture. Bit of home made chili sauce and the staff are absolute gents. Plus it's enough of a distance from my home to be able to write a review and actually eat the kebab. Tough, stern, and absolutely delicious. Thank you.

Decent burger at a fair price, £5.90 for a 1/2lb burger and chips. Like any kebab shop burger you're not looking for gourmet, you want a tasty well cooked burger with a good amount of salad and sauce, this place dies the job. Great chips as well.

I started going here when I was old enough to start drinking, back in the late 80s, and still going to this very day, its is by far the best tasting, and most flaversum food you will find anywhere. The staff are always very polite and willing to cook food the way you like it, even the wife says the burgers are by far the best tasting. Price wise, no different from any other really, but theres always plenty there. Open 7 days a week, and stays open till very early hours for those peckish on way home from night out.

We found the food to be average, we read reviews that raved about the cheesy chips but they weeny very good. The kebab meat was covered in herbs. I wouldn't go back in a hurry

I used to be a regular at Uncle Jims however the past few years the Kebabs (I order X large only)got smaller and prices went up..Half the amount of doner in it as other place I order now for the same money.The family meals are a bit over priced too.Good bye Uncle Jim's u lost one customer for good.

Made an order at 9.30pm. Was told it would be 30 to 40 mins. After 4 phone calls and being told they are in lancing then they are just around the corner it's still not here!! It's now 11.05!!!

Had a real craving for a kebab as not had one for about 6 months. So decided to drive down and pick one up. It was quite in there being a Sunday evening so he was not rushed. Got home and was quite disappointed as the meat was luke warm and dry and the garlic mayonnaise was sparse and tasted vinegary . Not the best and won't be going back again.

We order from Jims on a regular basis. Firstly I'm giving this place 4 out of 5 only because when I call and order the person I'm speaking to has great difficulty understanding what I'm saying. Sometimes I go get through to someone who has better English. Now the food. The food is perfect, we always get the correct order. I will continue to order from here as we are regulars and the food is very nice.

Always got a kebab here as a teen and was never disappointed..... although ordered one tonight and never had such a bad experience.... Food was completely bland even down to the cheesy chips, cheesy being the most questionable part of it!! The Kofte kebab I thought was meant to have spices in???? but was still pink and the most tasteless piece of meat in the whole of my mixed kebab, talking of mixed kebab it seemed to be missing the chicken donner, as the menu says "mixed donner" if I knew this meant only Lamb I would of ordered from our usual and more reliable and tasty "Worthing Kebab House" from just down the road. On top of this all the guy on the other end of the line didn't understand enough English to even manage to take my order and address correctly even after spelling it out to him 3 times. Two of us are now majorly suffering with stomach cramps and toilet issues after eating this kebab. NEVER HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE......

Use there delivery service frequently (deliver till 12:30) on Fri and Sat, never had a bad kebab! Lamb kofte is excellent and the chicken Shish is fantastic.

Uncle Jims was there when I was a teen, making sure the youth of the town were well fed after a many drink fuelled night! The place always had a nice atmostphere, I must say they they were always very tolerant & must have lots of stories to tell!Years later we still grab the occasional kebab & fries to die for! Always service with a smile. It's now my own teens that frequent the place when they have the munchies
