worst place ever cant even get ur order right when u go in a say it to them what u want and cant even give u what u ordered staff are rude

Ordered on there app foid hub. Took 1 hr for them to not notify me my food was ready. Only got my food when I complained to food hub themselves. No refund or anything

Food is always great, large chips and a battered sausage for £4, bargin. Sometimes the wait is a little long but overall no complaints.

Expensive. Waited over 30 minutes to order. Someone had ordered a few kebabs & rather than multitask the guy did everything one at a time. Super slow service. One staff member is always in the doorway smoking & doesn't wash his hands after. The staff all have noticably stained shirts on. I hope the chip shop that's opening round the corner is good as will just go there. Portions are okay but it's pretty grim. Shabby inside too, needs investment. A guy came in wanting a pizza with jalapenos on it & the guy serving didn't have a clue what they are. Very broken english, no greetings or politeness etc.

Just tried to order some food for over £60 for delivery and the guy that answered didn’t want to know can’t believe how people could refuse a order that big We need a better chippy with more respect for customers

The place is a bit stinky ( oily beef ) but the guys there are always happy and make me laugh the food is tasty as well and if you order on the spot it's way cheaper than trough Just eat , Uber eats or deliveroo . They do accept only cash tho.

had issues with this shop - thought i hit delivery but they said i didn't and so wouldn't deliver my food that was paid for - they refused to give me a refund - i could not get there as i work in the hospital and had a limited break and no means of collecting the food - very unhelpful and hung up - refused refund - refused everything - ill never use them again .....

Ordered a mixed wrap didn’t get to enjoy it as I got put of with the hygiene picking his nose scratching his nose then touching my food

First of all they don’t accept card and it’s 2022. They’re either dodging tax, or money laundering so off the bat I don’t trust them. Furthermore customer service is awful, and the chips taste like they’ve been recooked or sat for hours.

Me and my missus and my 10 month old baby got fish and chips and fed our little man the sausage’s we got from there , we ate what we could of the pure grease tasting food and immediately had to go toilet , the following day we are still experiencing diarrhoea and vomiting, when I went down to the shop they had no apology and spoke to me like I were lying. I am here to warn anyone going it will be a meal you won’t wanna eat ever again

Proper traditional British chips - none of this skinny modern nonsense. Worth every penny.

Just ordered large haddock, chips, 2 battered sausages and curry sauce to be delivered via JustEat. Fabulous tasty food, hot and delivered quickly. Will definitely be ordering again

Ordered chips and cheese with extra cheese. First of the chips were solid crispy ones mixed with bruised, I assume, ones. The funky onion flavour coming from a non onion menu item was disturbing as well. Could not eat more than 4 chips and that was pushing it.

Updated Review: Having previously received 5 stars from me. I'd like to downgrade them to nil. The service wasn't up to much plus we had a long wait - which I can forgive. We got home with the food and the fish was unbelievably dry. Never seen anything like it in my life. So, I packaged it back up and decided I'd ask for a refund. Honestly it was THAT bad. I took it in and there were three of them there. I said look I've just bought this and look at it, I'd like my money back please. He tried to refuse by saying I'd eaten it. I said I hadn't but had broken into the middle part of the fish They then started saying that that what fish is like, honestly it was appalling how they spoke to me so I was quite sharp and said I know what fish is like and this wasn't good enough. Then one of the three fellas was desperately trying to be nice whilst the other two were saying they had no complaints in the ten years they'd been there. (they haven't been there ten years) and the feisty one also said he wouldn't serve me again. I felt like saying don't worry I won't be back. But I didn't. I took the fish and left. It still wasn't great after all that and even the cat won't touch it. Avoid at all costs!! The previous review from Dec 2021 Always been excellent chip shop. Well known in the area. I tried their pizza, reluctantly as I only ever go to Tower Pizza but it was v good for seven quid. I had the seafood one. It didn't taste of Italy, it tastes of a good night out in Lincoln!

I would urge anyone not to order from here. I had to chase the delivery driver up & down the street because he wouldn't give me the food after i paid online. It was ridiculous, he was shouting & swearing at me & the food delivery provider. I can't believe what I've just had to deal with, absolutely appalling

Slightly annoying that they don't take card (the sign on the wall saying that the card machine is out of order is that mucky that it must have been there for months), but the food is good.

Best chippy in lincoln by miles, we order from here regularly, amazing value and excellent portion sizes. The battery is amazing, anybody who hasn't tried them yet, do so immediately, you will not be disappointed

Worsed chips I've ever had from a fish and chip shop, chips looked like they had been left out for hours and then reheated in the microwave and then delivered to me tasted like it too. I don't know who in they're right mind would think anyone would be happy with hard overcooked wrinkly, reheated chips. They we're disgusting. I would advise anyone to stay away unless that's what you like.

My family and I had fish and chips from this place for the first time after seeing good reviews on google. 3 of us had fish and chips , my mums was alright but mine was terrible! It was dry and hard like cardboard! I could barely cut through it! I tried some of my mums and hers tasted fine! I think I was given an old piece of fish because it was actually disgusting! Will not be coming back unfortunately

It's no longer a chip shop but a generic kebab/pizza shop. Chips are overpriced & it's dishonest to call it a chippy now. Portions used to be good but now they're not since the ownership change. Poor value for money & sad that a proper chippy has gone forever.

Above and beyond tonight. Mistakenly ordered through their website and didn't meet the delivery cost. Realising my mistake I called to question it and was told it was due for collection but when explaining I had mobility issues they offered to bring my order at no additional cost. Clearly looking after customers when it matters rather than simply offering a refund and potentially losing a customer. Food was fantastic as usual and followed my instructions too. Definitely be using again and again. Thank you for today.

Food was cold upon being served and then reheated in front of me back in the frier with salt n vinegar on. Charged me an extra 50p for using card even tho my food should of been £5.50. This chip shop used to be good back in the day. Never again

I thought I give it a second try of their fish and chips ,very disappointed with their inedible dry small fish again!!! Threw it away and drive to get it somewhere else. Never go again !!!

Only 3 in the queue but took 20 minutes to get food. The fish was lovely but the chips were a bit dry and lit of sharp hard bits.

Always crunchy, the batter is amazing and the staff are wonderful💞 I don’t usually like chips but have never been disappointed from here!

Reasonably priced. The fish was a bit greasy and chips were a little soggy, but overall food was not bad at all. Kebab was also tasty. Serving portions are generous. Would be good if they will be able to accept card payments soon.

This shop is no longer open in accordance with the opening times, I'm not sure if they've closed permanently or not, but they're not now, no signs on the shop with any details

Baggholme Chippy looks really grotty and is an eyesore on the corner. There no sign illumination, no fly-killing traps, no clear, clean lighting in the hot food cabinets. The menus aren't lit up with professional signage and no welcoming lighting display in the window. The choice of salad is absolutely underwhelming. Certainly not what one could call a salad bar. In the hot cabinet there is usually just a sausage, and very occasionally a Pukka Pie but this is not freshly cooked just left sitting there for a few hours so the pastry is hard and overcooked. If you look on the walls most of the things advertised you won't be able available so I don't know how they are allowed to get away advertising it. The general waste bin sits right beside the Kebab machine. The prep area is not separated from the serving area which it should be. There is now only one member of staff who comes across as confused and temparamental and not professional and I'm not convinced trained in food hygiene. There is no star rating on the door which kind of says it all really. Go to Hunters on the corner of the High Street which is top of the league. That's a professional chippy. This isn't, not by a long shot.

Baggholme chip shop and sign of the fish are the best in Lincoln. Baggholme has a much more friendly vibe, they will soon know your order and if you like, how much salt a viniger you prefer 👍

Excellent place for your Friday night fish and chip. It’s a friendly place too with staff and customers who will gladly chat if you dare say hi and break the ice. The food is good and the staff polite and helpful, parking is right outside and easy if you go at the right time too.

Service is so polite for a chippy the young chap is genuine and really nice to chat to but the food is the star attraction the best chips in Lincolnshire that I know of. Not far from the canal /river so take them down there to enjoy a stroll. 100% happy

Having been to my dentist in the morning and having a hospital appointment in the afternoon l decided that instead of traveling 19 miles home and back again to stop in 'town ' for dinner. l went to Baggholme rd chippy, aint been for a very long time. Freshly cooked fish to order without a long wait and very tasty chips. The place is a take out but is very clean. Deffo going back soon. Just don't tell my heart surgeon.

They have got NO IDEA about Chips...they include all the rubbish from the Chipper in your box of chips..so you have to throw half your Chips away. I've worked here for Des Anastasiou in the past....he's got the fantastic Burton Road Chippy now !!!!

Best Fish and Chips in Lincoln. I've not found better yet! The staff are great and the quality is top. There is often a cue, and with good reason. It's not the closest to me. But the extra walk there and back is worth it. The menu is what you expect, with some special extras.

Visited this chip shop on many occasions. Not the best chip shop ever, but far from the worst. Food is reasonably priced and owner is always polite and helpful and will make conversation. I would certainly return if in the area.
