Bagel Break in County Durham

Ordered on Deliveroo, completely raw in the middle. I was absolutely gutted after looking at good reviews and to give me only 80p back is piss take. Absolutely vile. Wouldn’t even recommend to my dogs.

Just tried triple bypass burger and honey garlic wings. I must say the flavours were awesome. Burger was so juicy and succulent. Will be visiting them regularly.

I've been eating in Bagel Break for a few months now and it's always excellent. There's quite a variety of meals on offer plus cakes, sausage rolls and spring rolls etc. And it's not expensive! The staff are always friendly and helpful. The cafe is directly opposite the bus station and I would recommend it to anyone!

This is a dream place for any “Burger lovers” to have the juiciest burgers. The peri bites and chips are amazing too. The milkshakes and cakes are also some of the best I've ever tried. Food is lovely, service is prompt and the shop is really nice.

Just order from Bagel Break Deli & Cafe….what can I say the food was hot and so tasty and delivery was super quick. 100% will be ordering again!!

I came into the cafe last week and didn’t even want to sit down, the shop smelt like stale coffee and the staff wasn’t very friendly , I shall be advising my friends not to bother using this cafe, tbh I think I’d rather get a coffee from Greggs ,the older lady that works in there is extremely rude and tried to sell me everything even though I said no multiple times , made me feel uncomfortable

I don’t know who selected the stock to sell at this place, but whoever it is has got it massively wrong. I walked in and asked For a coffee, I was expecting an Italian barista coffee, but what I saw was a touchscreen coffee machine. I sipped my coffee once and spat back into my cup and walked out. The service I received from the two young ladies at the front I couldn’t fault but there was an older lady there who clearly doesn’t know basic food hygiene when she’s wearing open toed shoes and berating the two young ladies And sounded like she didn’t know what she was doing (maybe the owner). Such a shame as the location of this takeaway is perfect due to the location of the New bus station.

I ate a salted beef sandwich here today, however what I received felt more like a sainsburys white bun, with some thin slices of beef inside. It cost £6.75 and I felt really ripped off for it, which sucks because I can rarely ever afford to eat out.

Really friendly helpful cafe. I stayed and worked, but didn’t try the bagels. Convenient for the bus station (where the toilets are). Try it!

Lovely cafe just opposite the newly opened Durham Bus stand. Serves variety of hot and cold food. The desserts are a must try and personally love their samosa and spring rolls. The staff are very friendly and provide impeccable suggestion. Would definitely visit the cafe again :)

I was on the area and needed a coffee. Just opposite Durham Bus Sation. Coffee was good. I had a brownie too.

Came to grab a breakfast bagel cause i had an hour to kill before the train. Was extremely good and the customer service was very good as well. Atmosphere inside the cafe is very calming and clean and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely come back on my next trip to the north !

So I'm a huge bagel lover! The selection of fillings are incredible, I'm quite picky but I had a gorgeous Pastrami and cream cheese bagel! Such a huge range of items on the menu and such good value for money. The pecan pie is phenomenal! I've had it 3 times and honestly it just gets better! The staff are so lovely and so chatty. Its becoming my regular lunch joint.

Lovely little cafe, the bagels look great but what we come for is their incredible curry of the day for £6.50 - huge portion and so delicious better than any curry house I’ve been to in Durham. Also their karak chai is lovely and the staff are nice & chatty, would highly highly recommend :)

One of my favourite cafés in Durham. High-quality homecooked food for very reasonable prices. They do a different curry every day, great portion size, available to have in or tale out. As well as more traditional café food. Coffee is very nice as well. Great place to stop off for a drink & a snack, or for a proper meal. Would highly recommend!

Lovely Deli, the cinnamon bun is definitely my favourite. Perfect location to grab a bite before taking a bus. Well priced and delicious. Staff are always lovely.

The Best Place in Durham to get South Asian (Desi) Food. The pastries are quite nice too! But Hands down the BEST Desi food I've had in the Northeast of England. Also the staff members are extremely nice. Sam is one of the members on staff, never fails to provide a good chat whenever anyone visits.

This place is amazing! I’m from New York and these bagels are like the ones from home. Sandwhiches are fresh and piled high! Owners are pleasant and knowledgeable! Hot food too! Specials change so there’s always something new! Wonderful!

A lovely addition to Durham! From coffees to savoury to desserts - they've got something for everyone. Loved their Tikka and Pecan pie - super delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

Extremely friendly staff. Tried their chicken mayo bagel sandwich and chocolate fudge cake. Absolutely delicious! Probably one of the best lunch options in Durham for students. Tasted their tomato soup and I'm definitely going back for it.

I love having a good quality bakery in North Road. It also opens early so great for a breakfast on the go (or sit in whilst waiting for the bus. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. Fantastic addition to Durham coffee and deli scene.

Located on North Road in Durham city centre, Bagel Break is a lovely independent cafe to catch a coffee or enjoy a meal/snack. Staff are very friendly and very helpful and food/drinks are prepared quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend to anyone who either visits Durham regularly or is just visiting the city, whilst travelling.

Outstanding customer service. Perfect breakfast, Bagel Sandwich and strawberry cake were exactly what I was looking for. An excellent addition in my lovely, historic Durham.

Mrs Rizvi the owner is lovely and made me feel extremely welcome on my first 2 visits. Treated me like a King. Staff were all fantastic too. The salt beef bagel was insanely good and the breakfast bagel was also delicious. Fantastic value for money too and the karak chai tea was like nothing I've ever tasted before. A fantastic small business that I hope goes from strength to strength. I said I'd leave a review and so here it is!

Tried chicken bread, mocha cake, sticky toffee pudding and velvet cake from here and it was very tasty. Staff is super friendly and quick to serve.

Nice little place. Clean and tidy. However extremely disappointed with the “sausage” sandwich i got. Hot dogs are not breakfast sausages. A waste of £3.75.

Visited it on its opening day and despite being really busy, the service was great! The cheesecake and cheeseburger were amazing! Good quantity for the price too! The fries are the best I’ve had anywhere and the garlic sauce beats lebaneat’s by miles! 🙌🏻 Will definitely be back to try their pastrami and smoked salmon bagels as they looked great!
