We had booked a table but, we arrived very early and they let us have the table straight away. The food was good and the prices were average. The staff were very polite and friendly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because there was dropped food on the floor which should have been cleaned up.

booked a table, but when we told the bar staff this, they pointed in the general direction of the tables... basically look for yourself. also when one of our party asked about a coffee or a dessert she was told they stopped serving these at 9.pm. we did not know this.. it was not anywhere we could see to say that... finally one of tge fussy ones in our group ordered 2 portions of chips... the portions were very very poor... not many chips on the plate. overall very disappointed in our evening. c

Great night celebrating my birthday . The Skas band were fab . Table of 18 for food and drinks . The staff and service was first class and the food offered good value for money. Thankyou for a lovely evening

The WORST food me and the wife have ever had. I had the mixed grill, and all the meat was tasteless. The chips were hard. My wife had the roast beef dinner the mashed potatoes were lumpy and the beef was dry. Will never go back

Myself and my family went to The Badger Box Thursday night. The food was good value for money and we didn't wait long for it. The young lady who was looking after us was called Shannon. She was a delight. Very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. She made our visit pleasurable and so we shall be returning.

I went for a drink on 22nd Thursday night I pop after work, but the designed to eat there as the food looked good. So we sat down order the food and more drinks it came out in a good time, and our server shannon could not do enough for us she was so polite. I will go back again.

Came to badger box last night for a family meal it was a large family gathering so there was a lot of food and drinks ordered the food was absolutely 5 * but the lovely waitress who served us was Shannon and what a wonderful waitress she was nothing was too much trouble , as we had a few children with us they changed their minds several times about the food they wanted but Shannon just said its fine we are a family friendly pub and love to see families here , she bought our drinks over very quickly as well as our food we also had our elderly parents with us who are sometimes a bit picky but Shannon took her time with them and talked to them like she was talking to her own grandparents she even got them laughing they absolutely loved her . This is a 5* review because everything was absolutely lovely, food was lovely and hot we all had a fantastic evening and special thankyou to our waitress Shannon who without a doubt helped make it a great night

Came in today for some food was greeted by the lovely staff who were all so welcoming. Got served by a young girl called Chloe who had a smile and was very helpful in helping us make decisions on food and drinks. Definitely will be coming back and giving recommendations out to friends and family. Very nice pub and food was great.

We were served by Sam who was absolutely brilliant! Kind and hospitable, we will definitely be back!

Waited just over an hour, which wasn't a problem, we had been told that, had a steak flat bread meal that came out cold, Sent it back, it had the steak and 4 lettuce leaves on it, didn't look like the picture at all, the the waitress did ask if she could get me something else and I did decline, hadn't got time to wait for anything else *not been able to email you

Been going to the badger box for several months now and the service from the staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The food is also very good with a good variety of choices. Keep up the good work..

Great family pub serving great beer and food, the staff are ace as well.

Ordered two burgers with extra onion rings and coleslaw to share and two aperol spritz. Firstly, the aperol spritz they bought out were not aperol, had no aperol in them, and tasted of elderflower. We tried to grab someone's attention but was ignored in favour of them talking to friends. The food came, so we asked them to swap the drinks out then, which shouldn't have taken long. We were most of the way done with the meal when they finally bought the drinks out. The chips were cold and the chicken burger was overcooked. I never received the onion rings or coleslaw, and tried to grab someone's attention again to see where they'd gotten to and again was ignored while they were talking to friends. I was told the onion rings were sitting on the side for ages when I asked for a refund, so why couldn't they look back through the orders and see who'd ordered what? 0/5 - I won't be back.

Great food decent prices big indoor space and huge outdoor space with TV, sheltered seating and a play area for kids I had the beef rib I would 100% Recomend it as it was gorgeous Will definitely return

Really enjoyed our meal here, and as an unexpected bonus we happened to be there on quiz night! We came 3rd and won a bottle of vino! Fab food, brill atmosphere. Definitely be back.

Probably the best green king pub I've ever visited. The food was delicious. The drinks were very nice and the staff are very friendly and it's very clean and tidy, thank you. Makes a refreshing change from the ones down south.

Went for the first time with my son after driving by for years. Food was good and came out pretty quickly but getting served at the bar was a bit slow and seemed to get ignored by the bar staff quite a bit. Would of been 5 stars if bar staff was a bit more attentive.

I had a very nice Hunters Gammon skillet. Food was excellent.

Went to the badger box today for Sunday dinner and had the half chicken , it was fantastic and tasted like home made. We was served very quickly and asked if everything was ok ? Everything was perfect and the prices are very good..I recommend this place to everyone …see you next Sunday 👍

Customer service very poor .I asked for a drink for me and my husband while my son went to get his ID but lady serving drinks rudely shouted at me as we weren't going to pay and when I paid for it she was so rude towards me as if I was going without paying. I don't know if she don't like our dark Asian colour and look. I asked her name but they weren't sure she was the youngest of all.The lady on the front very helpful though.

Food was ok but didn't get much compared to other Greene King pubs. Menu choice was vast and the atmosphere was good. Just wish the serving portions etc was in line with other GK's

I absolutely adore this pub. Beer is great. Food is really nice. Perfect place for family events or just hang-out with friends. Outside area is amazing (in a summer lol). BUT... Please fix female bathroom. All stalls doors/locks are broken, and it's really filthy, no toilet paper in stalls, bins are overfilled. Hubby says that gents toilets are ok.

We visited the badger box Fri 24th Nov. My husband, my mother and myself. I am in a wheelchair and they accomodated me with no fuss and as my mum is blind they ensured we all got to our seat easily The food we ordered arrived promptly, considering we ordered 1 XL Mix Grill, 1 Mix Grill, and 1 Mixed Chicken Platter with chiabatta and fries etc. During the meal, they kindly checked with us to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We were extremely pleased with the meal, as it exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our meal without constant distractions. Mum and I had a pitcher of Zombie cocktail and my husband opted for a hot cider. The cider my husband had was outstanding, and it truly had a Christmassy feel to it. I sampled his cider, and I must say, it was on another level. The flavor was exquisite, and it left me craving for more. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails. The Zombie cocktail was exceptional, although my mother did get a little tipsy as she's not used to drinking. However, it was an entertaining experience, and we will be returning to try out other cocktails on the menu. we are back again beginning of December (already booked) The meals were well portioned and well cooked and value for money, the ice sundae dessert we would have bottomless its that nice hahahahaha The choice of desserts are small but to be honest after you have eaten the ample main you do not want a lot if anything for dessert Overall, our visit to the badger box was a delightful experience. The staff was accommodating, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting I advise booking as we booked for 12 and it filled up pretty quickly. It is clearly a very popular quiet drinking and eating establishment and we can see why. It is a pub we highly recommend if you want a nice meal for a business meeting, friends lunch, family meal or a celebration perfect for all ocassions and something for everyone on the extensive menu.

Very clean, warm and cosy little pub me and my family sometimes go to for a family treat. The staff are extremely friendly with us which adds to our experience. The food is generally really nice and budget friendly. I always order the hunters chicken which I highly recommend to anyone reading this review. In my opinion, the best hunters chicken out of any pub chain.

Good cosy clean pub , didn’t like the fact everything you ordered you had to pay as you went along instead of just paying for it all at the end , we had booked a table but no napkins or spoons for desert , apart from that , food was ok tho mash potato was well picture will show, tasted ok 👍

Called in for quick afternoon drink in the sun, not been in this pub for many years. Beer garden is great- plenty of seating and space, will be bringing grandkids soon. Good drink prices, very reasonable compared to some other pubs

Not a bad place for a drink , but the service is shocking , so slow , they make witherspoons look good , and not exactly valve for money , came here a year ago and was shocking and after my last trip, will not be returning, there is plenty of restaurants to far away , and the 1 member of staff was a complete joke , a young man who not got a clue .

I visited this pub on Thursday evening which was made a suprise meal for me by my family before I move to America alone so this was the last chance we could all be together as a family. We were told the food would be an hour wait (which is perfectly fine) and then when the food came out 2 hours late and freezing cold the shift manager decided to come out with a sarcastic comment of “well I didn’t exactly say 1 hour” that’s not the sarcastic ill mannered comment that you would expect from the shift manager “keeley”. When my mother was respectfully adressing the issue with the food there was no helpful reparations suggested apart from a very defensive staff member not accepting the fact they could possibly have messed up. When we said we wouldn’t like to eat the food given to us (freezing cold) the manager then said once again in a sarcastic manner “ are you not gonna eat that then”. However there was a lovely staff member named Sarah who sincerely aplogised and tried to make it better although this wasn’t down to her fault at all. Really bad experience would not recommend to anybody thinking of going here.

Great place to eat, it has a nice family vibe to it. Perfect for family meals! I had the signature stack burger and my other half had an 8oz steak. Both looked and tasted brilliant, and good for price. Definitely would recommend!

I was in here with family for several nights in a row. Lovely pub , lovely atmosphere and lovely food. It was very busy Thursday evening and we were advised by Keeley that there was a delay on the food . This was no problem for our group. As usual when the food arrived it was as good as always. The staff and management are second to none and I can’t wait to go back again.

Came here 2nite for what should have been a nice farewell meal for my brother in laws leaving meal. Waited over 2 hours for the food to be brought to our table. When we asked for information on who to complain to “Keeley” as she kept telling us her name was. Came over really aggressively and said “who wants to complain” in what I can only describe as an atrocious way to speak to customers. Then spent the next 20 minutes arguing with my mother in law not once apologising for the wait. The closest we got to a apology if you could call it that was her telling us “I did say there was a hour wait” Which followed her saying it wasn’t her fault in a rather unprofessional and disrespectful manner. I thought I would voice my concerns on the Facebook page but they were removed. Very professional rather than address an issue remove the comment. I think “Keeley” needs to go on a course on customer service. Not only was she rude towards us she was rude towards another member of staff “Sarah” who did apologise for the delay in food and was trying to make amends by checking if the food was ok. “Keeley” decided to bark at her to go away. Great advertisement for the pub. I won’t waste my hard earned money in this establishment again and after tonight I won’t be the only one.

We would like to thank the team at the badger box for looking after our large group over the past few days, particularly yesterday, it was super busy, they explained and apologised for a long delay on food but when it came it was as good as any day. Well done Badger Box , thanks very much to Gina ,Keely and all the team.

We was celebrating a big event and all of our food was cold the manager for the night was shouting at my relatives and being rude. And arguing so it ruined the whole experience it was a big event in our family and it was ruined. So this place has changed

Amazing first time here. Great to see an allocated seating area for dogs but would be easier if these were normal chair height not stools. We had reserved a table but no option to reserve one suitable for dogs (we have a licensed support animal) which left us waiting for others to move out of the area before sitting down. Food delicious, fast service. Good selection of beers and lagers and a big play area for children outside. Looking forward to returning.

Nice place had boneless wings. Was nice and size of the portion was pretty good.

Great pub with lots of beer and that. We didn't eat but enjoyed a drink outside where there's loads of seating and, brilliantly, booths! I like booths. A word of caution: don't stand and expect to be served at the large outdoor serving hatch - turns out it's a television screen... so best to pop inside if your hoping for attention from the wonderful staff.

1st time visiting here and the place is fantastic. The menu is full of choice, and the food is delicious. Staff are so friendly, which just adds to the experience. I had the Chick 'N' Mix Platter where you choose from 2 chicken options, 2 sides and a sauce. I would highly recommend this place and I will be coming back..

Really disappointed with our experience at the badger box. Went on a Tuesday night and ended up waiting well over an hour for 2 portions of cheesy chips. In the end we notified staff we would be leaving as we weren’t willing to wait any longer so a refund was processed. Hesitant to return again.

Would give 0 stars but that’s not possible was waiting an hour and a half for food n drink for tables to came half hour after us to get served first when we went to the bar they then told us they aren’t taking app orders so we could of been waiting for ages and wouldn’t even know they could of just told us when we cane they aren’t taking any app orders and we also had to wait in a half hour queue for a refund and to top it off the bar staff were rude and understaffed wouldn’t of even known they weren’t taking app orders if we diddnt go up to bar ourself we could of been sat there even longer don’t go there if ur wanting a quick bite of food n a pint or don’t go in if u wanna come out full cos u will come out perished for the amount of time your waiting absolute joke
