Came here with a few friends for a birthday celebration and we weren't disappointed, staff were very polite and welcoming, the food was hot and tasty, I had the Tandori Fish Tika and the Lamb Tak a Tak Vindaloo hot and both were excellent. They also have Madri on draft to top it off.

Disappointed with the stale poppadoms and how slow they are at clearing the table with plates piling . Got the order wrong even though they read the order back to us. The manager came over 3 times because they weren't sure what meals we have ordered and for some very odd reason 2 small mixed grills came on the same grill plate to add to the confusion of us and the staff. The mains came out slowly 10 minutes inbetween whilst some on the table were eating way before others.Now that's out the way.... beautiful layout and very inviting. Chicken tikka starter,chilli chicken. Starter and small mixed grill were amazing. Moist , beautiful flavours and piping hot. Chicken balti is really good and the chicken masala is so smooth. Great choice of naans

The staff here are very polite and the food here is amazing! i have also noticed that they had a renovation and the restaurant has never looked better, my favourite dish is the egg fried rice with butter chicken 👍. i definitely recommend coming here.

Absolutely love this place! The food is excellent and not over priced. The portions are very generous. The staff are so lovely and friendly. They go above and beyond for their customers. I would recommend this place to anyone and me and my family will definitely continue using this restaurant. I absolutely love that when you sit down, they bring out some poppadoms and dips for you. Came on new year's eve first time I've visited bacada. Went in the restaurant area and was plenty of seating,it soon got packed and was very vibrant. I ordered a jumbo mixed grill with garlic naan bread and chips absolutely superb. Plenty of food choices and drinks menu with a great range of cocktails. The staff was always on hand very polite and made us feel at home. Well worth visiting if your in the area if your local or staying in one of the hotels near by. Suitable for families couples or any occasions. Will definitely return in the new year thats for sure

We have passed this restaurant many times and always say we need try . I wish we had driven past. The restaurant only had 3 tables with people on so not busy. We hadn’t had time to read the menu before the waitress wanted to take our order, we asked for a little more time. Our starters were ok but nothing special and very bland. We ordered king prawn purée and chilli chicken neither looked very appealing. We asked for a break before our main course but plates for our mains were soon placed in front of us. We had chicken tikka saag and mixed balti. They were big portions but were both bland with no flavour at all. The staff were having a chat between themselves at the bar and the few customers in the restaurant were not looked after. A table next to us were also complaining that there food came in batches and not together and no staff were sorting anything out. The waitress cleaned our table and most of what came from the kitchen went back to the kitchen. Then the bill came and for the privilege of having food with no flavour and staff that were more interested in talking to themselves and not the customers we had 10% service charge added. The waitress asked cash or card as she placed the bill on the table as she turned to go and fetch the card machine, seconds later cash or card what did she think we were going to do? I asked her did she think we were not going to pay but no response. This restaurants staff need some training in customer service. So we will definitely not be returning.

Visited early Wednesday evening as we were staying nearby. Pickle tray and poppadoms then straight into the mains. This is a top, top curry house. Everything was fresh, flavoursome and generously portioned. Excellent value too, we'd have happily paid double. And the service was friendly, professional and courteous. Would highly recommend a visit. Just perfect in every aspect.

have visited a few times recently as a group of 6 .the food and service have been excellent all 6 of us have enjoyed a good selection of starters and mains not a bad meal amongst them .reasonable prices not cheap ,not expensive . quite a few indian families eating in there so thats a good sign ,we will be back.

Staff very friendly, fantastic service. Food was out of this world. We had a selection of dishes and everything was perfect. The lamb sagwala was out of this world!! Cocktails were fab. The only let down was when going to the bar next door, twice I had a different taste in my gin. One of them tasted like it had been mixed with Sambuca. I could only presume that they weren’t cleaning the measures out after using different alcohols. Overall though a fantastic night and will 100% be back!

I was quite excited to be visiting Bacaba based on its Trip Advisor excellence award and having the award for being the best Indian restaurant in the Midlands for 2017-2019. *The food and drinks*There was a great selection of cocktails and mocktails. I tried the Yucahan Breeze which although simply presented, was very refreshing. The Pina Colada was fairly standard. For starters we had a mixed grill platter (chicken tikka, chicken wings, lamb kebabs, fish pakora, lamb chops), chilli paneer, onion bhajis and masala chips. All was very tasty, well cooked and were decent portion sizes for sharing. For the main course we had palak paneer, bhindi do pyaaza, butter chicken and chilli chicken with matter palao rice and garlic naan. Fiery, filling main course. Nice varieties and different tastes to the different curries. For dessert we had the rassmalai, which was delicious! *The staff*The staff were very friendly and welcoming, although it wasn’t clear who was serving us as it seemed like anyone available would just come over, so maybe that’s something they can work on in the future. *Design and layout of the restaurant*The restaurant was quite tight and busy. Our table was far too small and we were constantly having to ask for the table to be cleared to make any space. There was quite a gap between starters and mains being brought out, which has both its pros and cons. The gap meant that we were able to have some conversations in between courses, but the long wait isn’t good if you’re hungry! *The price*For a party of 6, ~£25 per head for 3 courses and drinks was very reasonable. *Overall*Overall, a pleasant experience. Wouldn’t go here for a birthday again, but would return for a general curry night.

We went over the valentine weekend of Feb 2020. Although i found most of the flavours nice, i did think both the starter and mains were not warm enough and portion size is extremely small for other places we have visited around Birmingham. Couldn't point out the lukewarm food to the waiting staff as no one asked or came over much so I'm not entirely sure it is worth the money as we have had similar tasting food elsewhere with a decent portion size and better customer service. The main dishes, the kadhai curries were not to my liking as there were only about 3/4 pieces of meat and it was more of a thick masala than the sauce i expected with lots of onions and peppers to make up for the lack of meat. The thing that also bugged me is they are very stingy with the chutneys and we had to repeatedly ask for top up of the chutneys that arrived with the poppadoms (not arriving with dry starters). When we did ask they took ages to bring them out. They do say fine dining - but i couldnt really tell the difference to the other local places we go to around Birmingham.

I have dined here on numerous occasions with my family and I have always had a good experience. The staff are really friendly and have always catered to our needs. I have celebrated my teenagers birthdays here and they are always really accommodating. The food is prepared to a high standard and I am always very happy with the taste and quality of food here. I will continue to return to this great restaurant.

I came here for my best friend's birthday, the first impression was good and all was great with our starter and cocktails (definetely try paneer Salt and pepper if you have any chance). A big choice of cocktails, loved the impostation of the menu. Interiors are really good as well.. yeah, basically everything about this place is good, but not when it comes to fish curry. I was quiet disappointed, as I personally work in a indian restaurant I know how a good quality of fish makes difference in a fish curry :( the fish bacaba use is like the fish and chips one. Really sad, cause all the rest is definetely good and tasty. Service, drink and starters deserve five starts.

Went to dinner at this restaurant, a party of 9 people. Good light and airy, spacioous dining room, unusually so for an Indian restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive and the meal was excellant. One litttle fault was that although staff did not try to hurry us to vacate the table they did clear plates as each person finished instead of waiting until all the party had finished, they do need to correct this small item. I will however be returning as found experience enjoyable.

Came here for drinks on NYE with the impression bacaba cocktail bar and dining actually served cocktails Ordered a cocktail at the bar simply to be told by the rude bar staff that the place is too busy and is not serving cocktails What kind of a joke is that?! I think it’s best not to advertise as a cocktail bar when you simply cannot be bothered to make them! Ruined my New Year’s Eve as the staff was so rude! Even the bar maid was arguing with customers! Never again Poorly run bar and not to mention the toilets was in a horrendous state

chicken tikka masala was too red and no taste. lamb bhuna -masala wasn't cooked properly never seen any restaurant serve pulao rice in a tiny bowl . rice were also chewy.

Always had great food when eating in or a takeawayService usually good inside but just lately takeaway delivery times have been shockingQuoted 45 mins to an hour.. had to phone to find out where meals were after 1hour 20 mins. Turned up 15 mins after phoning. Last week quoted 45 mins to an hour.. had to phone after 1 hour 30 mins to find out where meals were turned up 15 mins later. Both times told on way but believe not ordered. We have had incorrect meals delivered and shortages etc. Meals were ordered between 5.30 and 6pm and told not rushed. Not the usual service we have always come to expect and enjoy from Bacaba. Disappointed as food usually good

The food in this restaurant is absolutely outstanding!!I travel all over the country on business and always look for a good Indian restaurant and have found some good ones and some bad ones.

Absolutely awful! Twice the food got sent back and both came back luke warm, also after waiting an hour and a half for a main.....would recommend anybody ever eating here, possibly the worst meal and service I have possibly had, pity there is no option for no stars!...also keema naan came with no meat in!

Waited for over 40 mins for food which wouldnt have been too big a problem if overall experience was better! This fact was then STRONGLY disputed by the manager/owner? who basically accused me of lying! Could do with some training in hospitality whoever he was.

I don’t normally like spicy foods and don’t trust people when they say “it’s not hot.” For me food needs to be very mild. This restaurant’s menu said that things were mild or spicy so I took the plunge. They were telling the truth, they said the Korma was sweet and not spicy and it was. The samosas were to die for. The service was excellent. Would have given 5 stars but it was early and they were not busy so will save that for a busier time.

Regularly order great tasting authentic food from this restaurant for home delivery. However, the delivery service always seems to be poor! The past three times I have ordered, my family and I have waited a minimum of an hour and a half for the delivery to arrive and only live a short distance away.

Food was amazing. We were staying in area for weekend and looked up nearest restaurants. Checked reviews and all mostly positive so gave it a try. Restaurant was empty for 3pm on a Saturday so bit worried at beginning. We needn’t have worried. Whole family of 4 had different meal options and it was piping hot, fresh and very enjoyable. Price was £51 for main meals and drinks for 4 people.

Came here for a business meeting and had to eat out. Don’t know anything about the area so asked a couple of Asian gentlemen for their advice where to eat and they recommended bacaba

Ok, if you have had a drink and want somewhere to eat, but went here with my wife on Valentines day. Service was good, and food came out in a timely manner. We ordered a chicken bhuna and a lamb rogan josh, they come out in the same masala sauce, (being Indian I kinda know the difference), nothing was said to the waiting staff, as we were aware of the time and needed to go

Visiting on valentines day should have been an experience and it was, It's just a shame it was a bad experience.

I have reviewed several times before, however I feel it’s only fair that I keep writing reviews, this place will never disappoint, the food the service are always first class and the restaurant offers excellent value for money, keep it up Bacaba it’s a long journey for us but well worth it every time :)

We ordered food all was good apart from the mix grill how damm can you get 5 small pieces of chicken 2 Keebab small. 2 lamb chops. And the manager has the nerve to argue with me over the fact they I'm returning the mix grill. This man made our stay very unpleasant

all the staff are really nice to us and often bring us food out in the bar, just to have a pick at, they are so welcome, and friendly and nothing is to much trouble, if you like Indian food, this will really take some betweens, Trust Me.

Bacaba restaurant is a pleasant venue for a nice and tasty curry. Has a variety of options available, of those I have sampled they have been very good. Don't enter through the bar entrance though, that may put you off

Came here with a large group for a birthday meal. Nice big open space inside, decent decor, decent ambiance to the place. Food however was hit and miss, this was my first time to this restaurant and as always, trying out new Indian restaurants, I’m always a little sceptical. Will the curries be too bland? Too spicy? Too sweet? I had the keema and chicken curry, keema was really nice, chicken curry was just average. It was mainly what the other guests had they weren’t too impressed, I mean have you ever seen a chicken tikka masala bright red before? I mean I’m not a fan of chicken tikka masala anyway as its not an authentic Indian dish but that was the “red-est” curry I’ve ever seen in my life. Also sides of naans and rice came late for some people in the group. If food was better this can be a top notch place, will have to come back and give it a second chance.

Had a chicken tikka pathia,fried rice and peshwari naan. Found it very tomato-y and otherwise quite bland. Not impressed. Won't be eating there again when Little Bangla is so far ahead of the. with their food quality and is just down the road.

Visited here for the first time and the food was very good. The Menu has a good variety and so does the cocktail menu. When I checked on the website I was a little dissapointed because the prices were missing so didn't know of the price range however it was reasonably priced. My friends also enjoyed their meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant. Restaurant has a beautiful ambience and is suitable for couples and families.

This place is situated about 2 miles from the HIE at Oldbury, but one of the really nice things is that they will send a car to collect you and then drop you off later, I just wish more restaurants did this, a brilliant free service.

Came into this restaurant for lunch with family after having found it on Google as the closest place to us. It wasn't busy, just one or two tables but once we ordered we found that it took a very long time for the food to arrive. The food was nice, some dishes were better than others, the lamb chops were a big let down as they were not cooked through properly and didn't have much flavour. The chicken chettinad was a big hit around the table and tasted very nice. The samosa chatt was also very nice and different.

Ordered take away as was recommended by hotel and website looked good. Have to say I was disappointed. Chicken was tough, peshwari naan was not sweet and sides for the poppadoms tasted weird. The mushroom rice was however lovely and tasty. Normally I eat all of a takeaway. This one was half eaten and not that enjoyable.

Booked for mid afternoon, 3 adults four children. Restaurant was quiet and I felt cold. Friendly staff. Food came quickly and was authentic and tasty. I had the samosas and chicken Saag. Chicken saag is my favourite Indian dish and this was cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced menu. Ample parking. Will 100% visit again.

The restaurant is very cold, not sure whether their heating isn’t working. There is far too many waiters working there, we were served by 4 different people who kept hanging around which made us feel rushed.

Lovely restaurant room, part of an old pub. We were the only diners there. Nice food but kind of weird being the only ones in such a big room. Plenty of parking and what sounded like a very busy pub in the other half of the pub.

One of the best curries in the area. However, the service wasn’t great, I am aware that it was Mother’s Day so it was quite busy, the one young girl who served us was the lovely but we felt that we we burdening the rest of the staff when we asked for extra drinks etc. We were also sat directly in front of the entrance which meant we kept getting drafts of cold air and people standing by our table waiting to be seating, I’d pre booked a table but I felt we were just dumped in this location.

Good tasty food. Not particularly busy. Slightly more expensive than other places like the Railway or 4 ways. But food is superior. 1 anoyance was the habit of adding 10%service charge automatically, to the bill- which we asked them to remove and we then left a tip. Its the principle of it.

If this restaurant was a football match it would be a game of two halves. 1st half good drinks order taken starters, mains all came - ok.2nd half nothing no waiter in sight for drinks or desert menu (2 waiters serving 5 tables not exactly a heaving night) in the end had to go to the bar for the bill after 30mins of waiting.Then a 10% service charge on the bill not a prayer of paying that ! on piss poor service and average food. Hope this restaurant improves its 2nd half im going to stick with my local restaurant in future!

The restaurant is split into a pub section and restaurant section. The selection of beers is god with Morietti, Cobra along with Theakstons. The food absolutely amazing and each dish has a distinct flavour making it a joy to eat there. The Chicken and Lamb...

We booked in Bacaba for a family event (group of 30) in a short notice. The event went on very smoothly and well organized. The food especially the starters were delicious. The restaurant was accommodating for any special needs.

Great service from when we arrived till we left. Very clean inside. Very good drinks menu. The food menu is easy to understand, the staff are very helpful if there are any quires. The food is some of the best we have had and that has been the case on passed visits and the sweets are very yummy.

From start to finish this restaurant is first class the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful I would recommend this restaurant to anyone you will not be disappointed and if you fancy a singsong there is also a karaoke on Saturday

My mum discovered this lovely place on a night out with her friends...since then we have had an engagement there, niece's first birthday party, sisters 21st and uncle's surprise 60th and each time the food has been amazing full of flavour and nothing to complain about. The service from the management is great they are very welcoming and I would recommend Bacaba to anybody without hesitating....give it a go you won't go anywhere else to have an Indian again!

I travel all over the country on business and I always try to find a good Indian restaurant.I have found some good ones in Leeds, Bradford,Manchester and St albans But this is by far the best!.My Colleagues and I have tried most of the meals on the menu and none disappoint .My personal favourite is the lamb madras,the perfect blend of spices and the rich sauce make it a winner for me.Every time we visit the food is truly authentic.The Kingfisher larger is on draught and goes well with the curry.All the meals are reasonably priced,the restaurant is clean and smart it also has off street parking.If you stay at the Holiday Inn express in Oldbury there is free transport to the restaurant and back.Very good service, so give the restaurant a fry if you are in the area you won't be disappointed.

Finally checked this place out and was nicely surprised. The masala I had was topped off with an Irish Coffee (which I’ve been struggling to find elsewhere locally) and the other cocktail I had was also lovely. Would recommend.

Visited for the first time on a Saturday late lunchtime looking for goat curry (there was a premier league match at West Bromwich which ruled out our normal venue at The Vine).The popadoms were freshly made to order and the various accompaniments were excellent but for me the most important thing was the goat curry itself and I was not disappointed - absolutely delicious. I will revisit and recommend to friends. Great value and friendly staff.

Went there saturday night,it was a friendly service and the food was up there with some of the best I've tasted, loved it

We had booked a table for 9pm and arrived at 8.50pm were were asked to wait in the bar area as we were early. We got ourselves some drinks and waited it was now 9.15pm and I asked the waiter if our table was ready and was told that people were leaving and they were clearing the tables and was told to wait again which we did 15 minutes later asked again only to be told that they are still clearing tables. We waited a further 12 minutes and decided to leave after waiting over 40 minutes for a table all of a sudden waiter said our table was ready. We was very disappointed in waiting for such a long time but decided to stay and have our meal. We had sizzling mixed starters which were nice and various main dishes which were ok overall the food is nice but the service is terrible as we were made to feel unwelcome and neglected.

Family visit on a weekday evening. The restaurant was very quiet, but the adjacent bat was very busy.The vegetarian food was very good. Would recommend the shahi paneer.Plenty of parking outside the restaurant

Recommended by a friend to go here and we were not disappointed. From the really modern clean decor inside to the friendly attentive service and fantastic food we were hooked and can’t wait to go back.You sometimes go to an Indian restaurant and just get the normal standard menu where they put their spin on traditional dishes , not here though I had not heard of at least 90% of the menu that may put some off but I find that quite exciting Trying something new. I had a curried dish with lamb shank the meat was falling off the bone in a nutty creamy sauce with lovely fragrant rice it was utterly Devine. My wife had a passanda dish which was very pungent with almonds and very tasty. My daughter even tried a chicken dish which amazed us as it normally such a struggle to get her to try new things and she loved it. It’s our new favourite restaurant ticked all the boxes and the price was really reasonable so we will be back most definitely.

I rarely have a take aways but as a friend was visiting I suggested here. On the positive, the food arrive quicker than expected. Unfortunately I was disappointed. We had chicken pasanda and chicken tikka masala. The former was way too sweet- more like a pudding and the latter seemed to be exactly the same except with red food colouring. I usually eat half and enjoy leftovers the next day. This I chucked !

As vegetarian family, we tried two starters Aloo tikki and Masala Chips, the Mains Malai Kofta and Karahi Paneer and Lemon &Chilli rice. The food was amazing and so the service. They made our day. Great Place to treat yourself. As a regular diner at various indians, I rate this restaurant higher above the rest of the Birmingham restaurants.

We visit on a regular basis travelling a 60mile round trip, I have never been to a place that serves such good food, it is like an explosion of flavours every time you take a bite, The staff are friendly and very helpful to and the service is second to none, There is also a bar next door that has DJ on of a weekend never to loud you can't hear a conversation either, would highly recommend, can't wait to return :)

Went to Bacaba for a Road Show hosted by world renowned celebrity chef Tommy Miah for his upcoming Indian Chef of the year Award. It was clear that the menu was set by the organisers but I have to say the presentation and each and every food dish weresuperb in its quality . From a simple pakora to Kerala type fish curry: the dishes were a true representation of India and not somewhere in the middle. Many Indian restaurant menu describes food cooked with zinger and garlic but there is no trace of zinger anywhere . Here at Bacaba you can taste every spice in a subtle form. I was fortunate to go into the kitchen and meet the chef. Such a large kitchen so clean and such a grand arrangements. It was very clear that this Restaurent is a place for many food lovers who surely visits here very often.

We enjoyed our evening. The food was great, didn't take long to arrive and staff are friendly. Will definitely be an every week or every month visit

Very Enjoyable meal with 6 colleagues. Had the Darjeeling Chicken Curry, Keema Nan & Rice. All very well cooked & nicely spiced. Very spacious restaurant & Staff very attentive. Would recommend. Just a handy few minutes walk from the Premier Inn.
