Great food, cheap and arrived really quickly. Got the doner fatayer, it was perfect. £5 price, 5 minutes waiting. 10/10

I have visited many of the eateries on Oxford road in the years I have been studying in the area; this is one of very few that I have returned to. The food is always of high quality, very tasty, cooked to perfection, plenty of options, and generous portions. The staff are polite and organised. They deal with busy times well and are accommodating of people who don’t speak English as their first language. The place is always clean and there is lots of seating available (although it does get full) Highly recommend

The spicy sauce is too salty for me.

Amazing food at good prices. Babylon has been well known for years as the go to place for kebabs and they're consistently good and quick to get your food ready. For a chicken shwarma wrap and chips, it's nearly half the price of most lunch time places in Manchester.

The crispy spicy chicken is the best. When I was studying there we went at night and more than 10 years later I wanted to return.

The shawarma was incredible. Huge portions with the right amount of crispness in the chicken. They have hummus and chilli potatoes which you can add to your shawarma. Also loved the Rio cold drink. Great shawarma experience, the value for money is incredible at £7 for a chicken shawarma box.

Ordered wings and they literally look so unappealing, tiny wings that can't have possibly even have come from a baby chicken. They used to have great wings so massively disappointed. Got a shawarma wrap and the wrap isn't even freshly made, wrap was dry even with sauce. Overall wouldn't eat here again. Big disappointment.

It is one of the worst food places, and the chicken is dry and has no taste.

Always in a rush there won't be a single minute when they are not busy. One of my favourite restaurants, and I recommend this to all also, great place to hangout and make friends 😜😀

I always go for their chicken shawarma or chicken wraps they never disappoint and the portions are huge one would definitely fill you up! The staff members are always welcoming & they open til late! One of my few to-go places.

My recent dining experience here led to what I suspect was DISCRIMINATION behavior from the staff. They not only imitated my accent but also mimicked my native language in an unfriendly tone. When I pointed out that their actions were OFFENSIVE to me, instead of apologizing, a staff member responded by asking me, “Where are you from?” I found this behavior to be incredibly RUDE and UNPLEASANT. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and implements measures to improve their service attitude, ensuring that all customers are treated with respect and kindness.

They took money from my account for chips then refused to serve me saying card declined when the money has come out of my account. If I was drunk they would have made me pay twice. Check your bank guys there’s a guy ripping people off here

Not recommended at all!! Ordered vegetarian pizza and it had chicken chunks in it, upon complaining about it the staff was extremely rude and unapologetic and even asked us to throw it in the bin if we don’t want to eat it instead of accepting their mistake. We understand not being able to refund or make a new order but being rude when you’re at fault is unacceptable!

Ordered vegetarian pizza and it had chicken in it. Told the staff about it and they were soo rude about it and neither did they change the pizza nor did they refund the money and didn’t even feel sorry or this .

Staff members were so RUDE. They were TALKING BAD about us in there own language and laughing. Cleanliness is ZERO. Two times they have mixed BEEF/CHICKEN to my food, as I don't even eat non-veg products. They don't RESPECT anyone's beliefs. "NOT RECOMMENDED"

I have ORDERED vegetarian pizza but they have MIXED CHICKEN to my pizza and when I asked to change my order the MANAGER WAS SO RUDE. And didn't even paid my money back. "Not recommended to anyone" as they don't respect/value any individuals beliefs.

This was a great dinner after the cinema - the falafel and chips was amazing and the lamb shwarma and the salad selection is great. Amazing prices and good quality food

Fast food that’s absolutely gorgeous. The best kebab I have ever ordered.

The food was very bad and smelly. Sauces were very rusty and the tables were not clean (picture uploaded). The staff were very rude and were laughing in different language as we were standing to choose our order and we felt offended.

Pizza was fully loaded. Chicken chunks were huge and moist. Nothing stingy here and very satisfying. A nice clean environment to eat in.

I have only one thing to say about their 1 iconic dish which is : chicken shawarma with rice (in a big bowl) ... It's HALAL and so Delicious and yummmlicious.. it's reasonably priced and enough for a person with a big appetite or for 2 people with a medium appetite. ❤️ it.

Chicken shawarma always tastes fresh with a great selection of salad. Very reasonably priced aswell. £5 for a shawarma and chips. Staff are always friendly and quick also. Everything you want from a good kebab shop!

During our visit to Manchester, we found ourselves on a street not far from the city center in hopes of finding food. It was late in the evening, so the chances of finding open restaurants were slim, but we stumbled upon a place called Babylon where we satisfied our hunger with kebabs. The establishment itself was rather dingy, not catering to refined tastes. In other words, it was a dirty dive. We ordered two chicken doner , one with chips and the other with samoon. We were curious about the meaning of samoon, so we asked the person at the counter. He began a conversation (in Arabic/Turkish) with his colleague next to him (who bore a striking resemblance to the French coach Galtier). But who knows what those two were conspiring about?! Finally, at the end of their conversation, we received the definitive answer: Samoon was a type of bread. But did they really need to be so secretive for such a simple answer? The kebab was excellent, priced reasonably, and came in generous portions.

Got a combo fried chicken meal. The spicy wings were burnt. The rest of the chicken was fine, the fries were ok. Expected better. Staff were going through the motions. One customer attempt to put chilli sauce on his food and the top came off. It ruined his food and the staff were not interested.

So grateful for the staff who found my computer I had left in the store and kept it behind the counter for me to keep it safe! Could not be more thankful! Also really good and cheap food, perfect after a night out!

Called in last week. I staff here have an attitude and the food was rough. My dish was cold in the middle. The floor and counter area was also dirty.

Tienes lo típico de este tipo de sitio, burger,pizzas, pollo frito, etc. Las raciones son decentes y a un precio asequible rondas entre las 4 y 7£ con patatas fritas y bebida. Está en una de las calles vertebral de la ciudad y cerca de la facultad y museo de Manchester. Si pasas por este sitio se puede comer.

Babylon is everything that a typical takeaway in the North of England tends to be. The food is decent, reasonably priced and with a huge range to choose from, Babylon can cater to any sort of cuisine you fancy whether that’s a kebab, fish and chips, pizza or so on. The staff are always friendly blokes and you do feel a real sense of camaraderie in the place. It’s easy to see why the university students in the area tend to build up an affinity to the place. The only minor problem with Babylon, if being super critical, is the lighting which can make it feel slightly like a hospital waiting room but that’s about it. In short, Babylon is a good place for a quick, cheap bite to eat and is perfect for anyone who is looking for some food after a day or night on the booze. Nice one Babylon, you’ve been inspected🧐

I work near here and came across it looking for something cheap to eat that wasn't a meal deal. I am really fussy when it comes to chicken and wasn't expecting much but the quality of the chicken here is fantastic, especially considering the price. No water added or frozen chicken here, it's top quality. £4 for 4 chicken strips and chips, yes please. Also the service is SO quick! You never have to wait for your food and the staff are nice too. Plenty of seating available as there are 2 floors of tables. Also Halal if that's your thing.

Good customer service, friendly staffs, good GOOD food, good price, finally offers card payment and theres no certain spending required to pay by card anymore. What else could you ask for? Would recommend the spicy wings!

Uninterested / borderline rude staff - dirty (chips / chicken bones on the floor and unclean table tops despite it being near empty). Based on other reviews set up for late night drunk students- which I’m sure it excels at.

I visited here the other night and my card payment didn’t go through, so they told me to do it again and I asked if I’d been charged and they said no, however I’ve checked my bank and I’ve been charged twice! What a scam!!!

I am a student nearby, Babylon is my go-to fast food joint in the entire area. The portions are above average (usually I take some leftovers to go), food tastes great. Recently they’ve done a few upgrades to the place (new tables, cleaner look). Price/quality/portion is great. In other words, a good unhealthy fast food place.

After a night out nowhere compares to Babylon. You can expect: good food including a wide selection of condiments, friendly, funny staff and finally the prices are reasonable. Babylon has been consistently the best takeaway for years.
