Babydoll's Wood Fired Pizza in Shepway

The staff were so helpful, we were celebrating our grandsons 3 birthday and nothing was to much trouble. The added bonus was the food it was delicious 😋

Although the food was very expensive, it was very tasty! It took over an hour for service and food to come out and that was at 2pm! We were the only ones sat outside too, so that was a little frustrating.

Good food, good service. Really enjoyed our lunch here.

What a lovely place! The food was delicious, couldn’t fault it. And the service was fantastic. Would like to give Ruby a special mention, so friendly and full of smiles. We went around 8pm so it was quite dark outside to find our buggy once we had finished but still, what an experience.

The restaurant was very homely and the staff were welcoming and kind. The service was great and the food was delicious. The chicken salad was one of the best that I have eaten! All of the food came out hot and the pizzas were amazing! Definitely give this place a visit.

Fantastic place and fantastic food. Pizza was absolutely immense. Service was great. We visited for my birthday and it had been mentioned on the booking. As soon as we walked in the staff acknowledged this which was a really personal touch. Would definitely recommend.

Looks fantastic, but it’s for hotel guest only unfortunately. We were turned away after the long walk down the hill.

So decided to stop here for lunch on my day out at port Lympne. The food is excellent- indeed one of the nicest pizzas I’ve had- but everything is wood fired in an oven that only takes 6 pizzas at a time so be prepared to wait and if the restaurant is busy this can be an hour.

This would be a great restaurant anywhere so amazing to find it in the middle of an animal park. Really great wood fired pizza with a nice atmosphere.

Nice, simple, rustic, small eatery. Nice, smiley staff, good service. Husband had pizza, which he enjoyed. I had goat's cheese salad - didn't enjoy, because the cheese tasted of anchovies. That's why I'm giving it only 4 stars. We had a window seat and were fortunate to catch the cheetahs wandering around in their enclosure right next to the place. Nice place but strange name. Didn't really know what to expect.

Food and service were fairly well spot on.... only gripe I have is that a 10% service charge was added to the total without prior notice, hence the 4's!! Feel that the waiting staff should advise of this at the point of taking the order. If the notification was on the menu it wasn't very clear. I was more than willing to leave a tip at the end, but would have been in cash directly to the staff member at.my discretion, I don't like being dictated to! Would be interested to know if the staff recieve the charge, or does it go into the management fund??

I ain’t lion, this was excellent! All jokes aside, this pizza was amazing and so quick, unexpectedly good for a venue inside a safari. Would hugely recommend!

The venue could be improved by the addition of a porch/double door entrance, as it was cold outside and whenever someone came in or out it could be felt inside. The staff were fantastic and the food really tasty. We both had the Bolognese tagliatelle and both thoroughly enjoyed it. The deserts were also delicious.

We had a lunch here. Service was quick, polite and friendly. The food was ok, but would have been nice to have more variety. It was freshly cooked and the pizzas came right out of the great pizza oven The view out of the window was nice, although must be even nicer in summer. Overall, a reliable option for your lunch

Food is OK, service was alright but nothing special

Working at Babydolls was one of the most horrible experiences of my career. After being promoted quickly, I was moved to Babydolls and quickly realised that I was working for an unhinged and toxic manager. I was repeatedly screamed at and had my livlihood threatened on a weekly basis. Port Lympne has an extremely toxic management system that rewards bullying in the workplace. If you have been offered a job here, run.

Great pizza, really recommend the garlic bread!! The service was excellent and the staff all very friendly.

I decided to visit the zoo for the day to be utterly astounded by the food, service and atmosphere of the splendid Baby dolls restaurant. The service was incredible for what looked like such a young team but if i can give a special mention to Matt and Jake who were kind and polite throughout my experience especially as i am a bit of a pain with my allergies. The two young men catered to my needs amazingly and provided a memorable experience for me - somewhere i am definitely going to come back to and rave about to all.

Avante Garde! Is the term I would use to describe this place - quite unique and innovative. Good service, good food - the brownies are exceptional - have a meal or just a beer or coffee, it’s all good 👍

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting. The weather was nice so we sat out on the terrace and enjoyed the view. the pizzas were excellent and service was quick and efficient. We loved our experience here.

Quality food at an admittedly high price. Fantastic service and lovely surroundings. Can't mark it down in any category but the courtyard needs more shade/rain protection.

We popped here with our two boys and baby. There’s a cute courtyard where you can sit and eat too with a small fountain which my boys liked to play in. There’s also a small play area not too far away too. The menu is fairly small but it has all your standard dishes so there should be something to suit everyone’s tastes. My boys went for the spag bol and tomato pasta, and we went for a nduja pizza and a seafood pasta. It was fairly busy so food took quite a while to arrive. The tomato pasta for the boys was wolfed down quickly but for some reason they weren’t so keen on the spag bol 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think maybe because the spaghetti looked more like egg noodles. The kids online menu only shows an option for a 3 course meal but there’s a 2 course meal available when you get there. Annoyingly though, we just wanted one meal for them but that wasn’t an option. Our food was good and the staff had been helpful in getting us a high chair for the baby. All in all, the meal was good. It definitely feels a little on the pricey side though - expect to pay at least £16+ for main meals.

Great for a casual lunch, pizzas and garlic bread we’re nice, pasta was good, nothing special. Nice place to sit in or outdoors seating. Staff all very lovely and helpful, kitchen is open for diners to see, nice experience.

Amazing Neapolitan pizza, particularly to find inside a safari park! We were staying at the park but didn't realize that for a dinner table booking is essential. I tried to get a table and the staff were really helpful in trying to squeeze me in. In the end they offered to have it delivered to my accommodation which was great. The pizza was delicious and amazing.

Gave me food poisoning! Served a rancid nduja sausage pizza that tasted absolutely awful, i only ate one slice and ended up being so ill for three days. Couldn’t even keep water down. Awful!!!

A little small inside but packed with a friendly and calm atmosphere, kid friendly, with pros in the kitchen making pizza and pasta, Italian style. Vegan options available including dessert, and if you can't finish you can take away but don't feed the animals!

This is proper restaurant rather than the usual cafeteria you normally find in similar places and that is reflected in the price and the 20% gratuity. We had 3 kids spaghetti bolognese with brownie and ice cream which cost £12 each, my wife and I shared a pizza and a salad. With soft drinks the total was £85. The food was ok, though none of my kids finished their main. Had we not walked so far we probably would have gone back to the cafe. The setting and atmosphere are nice and the staff were very friendly. Meal was served quickly which was great as we were on a deadline for the safari

The restaurant was extremely clean and tidy the food was prompt and pizza where all baked on show with the open kitchen. They also adjusted elements of the menu to sort children's portions and prices where deducted to suit. Onky thing that was a bit of a grip was that the service charge was added to the bill, personal preference but I prefer to tip which they would have got and a larger tip then the 10%, but what if the service hadn't been to standard? It then leaves a very awkward conversation to have it removed.

Lovely staff and home cooked pizza with homegrown rocket. Would have liked a few more veg on my pizza and homemade pesto too, but I appreciate the effort here, the food was better than most animal parks.

Be careful when eating at this restaurant. I got very poisoned during dinner at this restaurant (I ate chicken breast). I felt very sick all night. 🤢The next day we planned to have breakfast and another walk in the park, but unfortunately I had to rush home due to food poisoning and the whole day was ruined.😮‍💨

So staying on the wildlife park limits you to either order a takeaway which would probably be cold by time you get it, going our which seems daft or hitting one of the ridiculously priced restaurants. We opted for later and thought this would be best option. Food is VERY average, no issues but nothing to jump up and down about. Wife nearly fell over when I told her just parted with £72 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 desert, water and a beer!

We stayed at port lympne and ate at baby dolls twice, mostly becuase of the gluten free options. Olivia was fantastic, she made sure I got what I wanted and needed and her customer service was just great. We were here on holiday after the death of our mum and it was just made so much easier because all the staff, but particularly Olivia, have been amazing with reservations and food. Thank you everyone!

Great restaurant, service from Olivia was outstanding and great at caring for my celiac. Olivia made sure that on the second night of our stay I had some gluten free brownie too for pudding which was much appreciated!

We had dinner here whilst staying at the zoo, the staff were very friendly, even keeping a birthday cake for me that I dropped in earlier that day to be lit after dinner. We had starters and mains, pizza and pasta which we all enjoyed. The only downside was that at 7pm at night we did not realise that it was quite far from our lodge to take the golf cart out with a young child in the cold weather.

Visited during a mid week evening in the winter, so wasn't expecting much. How wrong I was! The welcome was friendly, the atmosphere cosy, with a nice buzz of conversation, and the food was sooooo good. There was not one thing not to like about the experience (little pricey, but then it is in the middle of a conservation park, so is probably justified) A special mention has to go to the staff...they were amazing. Especially our waitress, who's name we unfortunately didn't get.

Beautiful and very cosy restaurant with amazing views of the park and surrounding area. Vegan options are limited but food is top quality! The staff are welcoming, friendly and very professional.

Unfortunately the wood fire oven was out of action, so no pizza, and this was the whole reason for our vist. As the restaurant is in the grounds of the park, some signs up would have saved a long walk.

Amazing trip to this restaurant, firstly the staff are wonderful nothing was to much and had the best customer services skills I have seen for years . The young man in the black suit was so polite and professional great to see someone with passion. The food was fab we had starters which were fresh and hot then had pasta dishes again well made and you can see the kitchen and chefs and see the pizza being made. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest because normally it’s overpriced and processed in these places but wow 🤩 was I wrong. If you are visiting here make sure you stop at this place for food. 10 out of 10 for sure. They also deliver which I wish I knew because it’s sooo cold but the trip in the golf kart was great fun in the dark

We were staying in the hotel & all the other restaurants were fully booked. Babydolls was also fully booked but the lovely staff offered to do us a takeaway & deliver it to our hotel room. Pizzas were lovely & well presented.

I visited Babydoll’s on Saturday evening with 7 friends as a celebration and we were so impressed with the service and food that we couldn’t stop talking about it after leaving! The staff were extremely friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. They even brought us a free cocktail for our recently married friend to help us celebrate. We ate three courses as well as a few rounds of drinks and couldn’t fault a thing. The food was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening to all who were on shift that evening. We would recommend to anyone!

Lovely food here and tailored to my style (fussy eater) nothing was an issue, everyone was great, especially the waitress who actually spoke about life and things going on, nice to be treated like a human 👌👌👍

Absolutely shocking service!! Waited at the entrance for 20 mins whilst being ignored by staff walking past. Was then informed of an hour wait. When finally seated the three tables that came in behind us got served first. Not a single member of staff approached our table. Waiting for over an hour to take the order is absolutely ridiculous.

A good option for eating out in Port Lympne. We sat outside one evening, so I don't know what it's like inside or at other times of the day. However, our experience of the setting, service and food was excellent.

Lovely late afternoon lunch. It wasn't super busy and service was quick and all the serving staff were very polite. Sat in the courtyard which was nice and cool and a welcome respite from the sun. Pizzas and charcuterie platter were tasty. My son said his gluten free pizza was the best. Would have liked more mushrooms on the vegetarian pizza. Felt the amount on it was a bit stingy

As with the rest of the Port Lympne reserve, the restaurant was lovely. The staff were great and the food delicious.

Pizzas were fantastic and ordered the ciabatta as an extra which was beyond fantastic. It should be offered at least twice the size and as a main :-)

Proper Italian themed food well presented and good portion sizes

They should call it gas fired pizza!!! Went and had a look at the oven and it was running on purely gas with a tiny little log smoking at the back. Outrageous service! We went in there and they wasn’t that busy and said to us it would be a hour wait. (It was to put us off) So we said we will wait and it came out in 15 mins. Not a friendly service, also the pizza was under cooked underneath. Will not be returning!

We really enjoyed the food and the service was good. The kitchen is open so you see them cooking. It is not cheap but reasonable.

Stopped here for lunch during our visit to Port Lympne, it was lovely, a beautiful setting. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside enjoying the sunshine. We shared a pizza which was delicious, nice small selection of wines and beers too. It was very quiet on the day we visited which made it even nicer, we were really pleased we found it.

Great pizza place. Lovely food and a relaxing place to grab dinner. Suitable for kids too
