Babushka Russian & European Deli in Mansfield

Ordered some drinks and snacks on Saturday to be delivered. Received the delivery Monday morning. Brilliant support over email to resolve an issue with my order, mostly caused by a misunderstanding on my end. Only minor problem was that the vodka I received had leaked a little, even though it was still sealed.

Visited Babushka to get some wholesome foods not the standard Tescos et al affair. Everywhere in the store is laid out well and all products are very enjoyable. Very helpful staff. We just enjoyed an Elk, Dvaro (cottage cheese), Talsu Ritulis cheese ploughman's lunch followed with some Halva Cu Cacao for desert. Even my partner who was a little apprehensive about trying the Elk was blown away her face lit up when she tried it, sure it costs more than supermarket stuff but let me tell you it is worth it!

If you are a fan of Russian, Baltic or Polish food, this is the place to go. All the usual suspects - vodka, caviar etc - but a wonderful selection of Eastern European and Russian goodies on top - great range of pickles, frozen pelmeni, kolbasa and all the rest. Red October chocolate and candies, a treasure trove of jars of soups, stews and more, the list goes on. Even if you do not know the cuisine go along and give it a try.
