B26 Food of India in Birmingham

This is the worst Indian I have ever ever had!!! I am Bangladeshi! I have just wasted £42 on water!!! All the curries tastes the exact same!!! He/she clearly used the same sauce in all the curries!! I’m absolutely livid I spent this much money on bland tasteless food!! No salt on butter chicken curry !! Food was late aswell! But if the food was edible the latest could have been by passed!!

Rude when I phoned up and politely asked where my order was and restaurant hung up on me when I phoned to enquire about my order

Never ever order from this place !!! They do not deliver on time !!!

Food was late and cold ….driver told me that he’s got lots of orders so that’s why it took so long….ordered mushrooms in chicken tikka and paid for extra, no mushrooms in….in all the dishes only 3/4 pieces of chicken…..absolutely disappointed with the service and quality and considering the cost !!!

Great food good prices staff ok. Very quiet as closing 5th jan.

The Korma and balti were hot and delicious. Will definately order from B26 again.

After using B26 for over 15 years I’m really disappointed tonight, ordered 5 curries only to find one had spilt all over the other curries and was all at the bottom of the bag. Phoned the restaurant and they were very unhelpful offering us a free popadom on our next visit! What was left of the food was delicious as usual but service not good enough!

Spent £40 for it all to turn up stinking of seafood initially i could just smell it on the chips & poppadoms but I took one mouthful of my curry & could taste a fishy taste so either the foods been cooked in same pan/oil as seafood or the chicken was off.. I sent a complaint to just eat as I have a seafood allergy so couldn’t take the risk & being told they can’t refund me because the restaurant uses their own style of taste & flavour. I’ve used this restaurant for years never had this issue.

Chicken keema naga was poor, little chicken and keema was predominantly juice/sauce - order from here as it’s on menu and not available at other local curry houses. Won’t order again as quality has dropped to make it unworthy

2hours for delivery, food split open in bag, madras all over kids korma! Not edible for kids! Food warm at best! Sh***

I visit Birimigham from the north a few times a year and Each time over the past few years I try a different curry house. B26 Food of India has been the best so far. Ingredients seemed to a high quality and food was delicious.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming however the food was tasteless. Looked delicious but lacked flavour. I had the Mixed Jaipuri the prawns were tough and the sauce had no flavour. The pilau rice was good. Naan was plain and pizza like and very dry. A friend had a paneer dish which was like cream of tomato soup with no flavour at all. I wouldn’t usually leave a negative review as I am one who would leave a positive but unfortunately the dishes we ordered were very bland. The restaurant itself and staff are lovely. It was in a good location to our hotel and was relatively busy for a Monday night.

Paid extra for chicken with my chicken keema naga and was only the same as normal won’t order extra

Food has not arrived and account is saying enjoy your food as it has been delivered- no it has not

Unfortunately we ordered 3 poppadoms and only received a half broken poppadom. We've never had an issue before and apart from the missing poppadoms we couldn't fault the food. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

We ordered balti's but instead got plates of bland grease. Small portions. Watery mango chutney. Awful.

Let me start by saying we've never had an issue from B26 - it's been fantastic...up until this order. We ordered a chicken bhuna. It LOOKED like a tikka masala. No bother, I don't mind. Except, it wasn't. It was clearly tomato soup, with a few spices to try and disguise. That, and the 'chicken' was clearly cheap chicken strips from the supermarket. Reading reviews before posting this, it's clear this isn't the first time they've done this!

Worst food i ever had in my life. Order jalfrezi chicken and asked them to make too spicy but i was sweet in taste like they use sugar. Chicken tikka is like rubery overcooked it was feeling like i am having chicken flavoured gums. Food is not fresh and they are frozen coz had that weird taste.

Very disappointing!! Lamb chops were gray, tough and dry, tasted like they had been reheated, sheekh kebab was ok but both starters had no flavour or taste to speak of. Both starters were on the small side for the price. Curry bland, naan was ok but doughy, and the chicken was tough, have they never heard of spices? Won’t be ordering again! At least it came on time…

Bit of of a mix with delivery but the delivery was so apologetic could couldnt be nicer & very polite ..

A clean camping, no service, bat there are clean water, nice place close to London, good for people visit the City, around there are shops, supermarket, everything because it' s London outskirts.

Jalfrezi was a little salty but rest of items were good

Place has gone downhill, ashame as it used to be so nice! Chips and poppadums were stale, the chicken tikka balti didn’t taste right and the chicken was really chewy.

A favourite. Beautiful, freshly cooked food. Wether you have takeaway or eat in, its always fresh ,hot and delicious.

We ordered two meals. The sagwala was nice, the madras was pretty tasteless. I wasn't keen on the naan but the chips were alright. Wasn't bad, just wasn't great either

This place has definitely gone down hill. I would save your money and try elsewhere. I could bend the poppadoms and if you can go wrong with chips then I have nothing else to say.

Celebrated my Birthday here with a party of friends on 27th May '23. I have visited here many times before and never been disappointed and I was confident, turning up with a party of friends, the evening would be enjoyed by all. Food and service was excellent as expected, we even use the take away delivery service too. A number of my party commented on the good food which was quite pleasing. A great relaxing evening out and well worthy of five stars. Martin.

Food wasn’t nice at all today. The Balti had no taste to it at all very bland. The popadoms had been out on hot food so therefore extremely soggy and inedible. The chips were undercooked. Such a shame none of us enjoyed it at all most of it went into the bin. Unusual for this place though we’ve ordered from here many times and never had a problem.

I attended the restaurant for my birthday and I was not disappointed. The food was freshly cooked, I had lamb balti, it was sizzling hot and the tastes was fabulous, full of flavour, everyone who attended enjoyed the meal and one order a takeaway. The vegetarian option was lovely my cousin was very with the selection, he came slightly late and was able to order and got her meal before the rest of the party. The naan bread was so big it was shared amongst the group. The staff were very friend and were attentive to our needs, also other diners, too. I highly recommend others to go to the restaurant as a couple or large parties, they are able to manage and you will defiantly attend again.

B26 has been our go to Indian Restaurant since it’s inception 15 years back. Balli has been a consistent warm host and ensures all our events have the happiest memories. I would highly recommend them.

Great food highly recommend, everything cooked freshly, good portions, great for kids too, service first class & with a smile, loved the biryani with a smiley face!

Wonderful meal , tandoori prawns were amazing as was the biryani, the rest of my family enjoyed their Baltis too, service is first class with a smile, nothing too much trouble, highly recommend this place, prices were reasonable too

Nice food just disappointed that when ordering poppadoms they are extra so missed these not being a standard thing , you go the restaurant and you automatically get them.

We have been here several times and always be fab but tonight they excelled themselves ,.I had a surprise 50th birthday meal there for 35 people and nothing was to much trouble .the food came out hot and we didn't have to wait long for it.we were there from 7 until 10.30 and we didn't feel like we had to leave once we had eaten . Highly recommend this place and will continue to dine there

Best curry I’ve had in a long time!

We’ve been going to B26 for a few years as a group of 3. Always great food, service, atmosphere & attentive staff. Last night we attended a 50th Birthday meal for 35 people and 10/10 to Bal and his staff for looking after us so well. So attentive ensuring all was ok and credit to the chefs for making sure all the food came out hot and all together so we could eat as a full party. Nothing ever too much trouble and highly recommend. Always a pleasure to visit and we will be returning.

We were a group of 7, not too big I'd have thought but the food took FORVER to come out. We'd parked at the morrisons opposite and were lucky to get out within the 3 hour period before we were charged. I had a garlic chilli chicken which was okay. Keema naan was nice too however one member of the group didn't have their mains nor rice come out at all until we complained and it was a rush job to get it out and didn't taste good at all, very watery. A few of us noticed the cobra was vile, even though it came straight from the bottle, we noticed it was close to the sell by date and so requested a different batch which was much better. Won't come back, service was useless. Wasn't even overly busy, beer was rubbish (although not the restaurants fault), and some people's food wasn't nice and was late. Been better places and wouldn't rush to come back unfortunately

Didn't book but don't think it would have made much difference. Food took too long to be served and portion size wasn't that great. Prices were reasonable but not for us

The driver apparently delivered to wrong address. There was very little apology and if we didn’t want to wait for them to recook the order then we were told to cancel it ourselves

Had my birthday meal here. The food was delicious and the waiters /waitress were very attentative. Sang happy birthday to me and gave us complimentary ice cream and cheese cake . Mine had a candle in. . Very friendly atmosphere.

Visited this place on a sunday night when entered was told by guy behind counter online only no sitting in then he went to ask and was huming and haring then said yes come in by then we was settled in another shop if u only want online state it also take the seats out waste of time avoid

I have been coming to B26 for over 14 years and I would not go anywhere else. I have serious issues when it comes to making sure my food is the way I like it and expect it and they deliver to my expectations each and every time. On the very rare occasion the food is not how I like it they sort it without issue. Now I am the worst person to serve in a restaurant/ take out - even my husband says I am an AH but B26 have gotten to know me and always give 100% to accommodate my high expectations. Bali is one of the best servers I have ever met, and always goes the extra mile because I am a fussy moo. All the staff are amazing and whenever we have took the children for a sit down they have gone above and beyond (my children are autistic). They never moan about the mess the kids make (even when I’m cleaning it up). If you’re looking for friendly service, great food and a welcoming atmosphere then B26 is the place to go. We tend to take out most times because of the kids but the food is equally as great and the portion sizes are plenty.

A lovely atmosphere to catch up with friends. We've just spent a great evening at B26 on Sheldon. We've recently moved from Yardley to Bath but when we knew we were going to be back in the area and had the opportunity to meet up with friends, B26 was where we knew we wanted to eat. We were all delighted with our food and had a lot of fun and laughs with the staff. Seating was comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you everyone. We'll be back!

Absolutely lovely food. Starters & main courses were all fab! Haven’t been here for years even though local to us but will be making more visits now. The staff were so lovely & looked after us so well. Had good selection of drinks. Lovely atmosphere too!

normally i do not complain about the food that B26 offer but the naga chicken and minced land dish, the chicken was rubbery

The food was ok very oily, we lost half a curry on delivery as it leaked in the bag. Spent £40 with no complimentary popadoms

We ate in the restaurant before Christmas and thought we would Try a delivery but it didn’t taste as nice.

I had a fantastic experience at B26, I was provided excellent service from a gent called Mamun who made sure we were looked after. The food was 5 stars, taste was amazing. I will definitely be coming back no doubt!!
