Highly recommend the food as its hot fresh and delicious. Creamy chicken was lush, mixed grill and lamb casserole also out of this world. Sweet treats were moreish.

Gorgeous food! Tasted just like food we had in turkey. Had a few vegan options too. Stayed in air bnb and this was very handy at end of our street. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Highly recommended.

We tried Alyaz for the 1st time last weekend. I would gladly award 10 stars !! Staff friendly, presentation of food immaculate, portions generous and the food was outstanding. Succulent well seasoned meat cooked to perfection. Accompanied by fresh tasty salad dips rice and bread. I have nothing but praise for Alyaz and can't wait to explore other dishes on the menu.

Just beautiful food, got the lamb ribs and garlic mushrooms, the lamb was out of this world tasty and sitting in a bed of rice which soaked up all the lovely juices and herbs. Even the side salad that came with it was so fresh and tasty.....1st visit, won't be the last

This place has brought Turkish cuisine to Sunderland and kept it authentic and as it should be! No variations and no messing. This food is like nothing I’ve had in the UK before and for that I love it. The flavours, ingredients and quality is fantastic. The lamb and chicken cooked over the charcoal grill is brilliant! I cannot recommend enough. Personal taste the feta parcels were a little bland but that’s at a push… everything else certainly made up for it. Give it a try!!!

Called in on way home from first defeat for SAFC at home this season.This little gem of a takeaway changed our grumpy mood with great tasting food with pleasant helpful service from stepping into shop .Thank you will be back .Good luck

Only just discovered this little gem hidden away on the outskirts of the city centre. I've eaten here twice now and it instantly became my new regular. Quite simply this is the best takeaway food I have ever enjoyed in the city of Sunderland. Yes, the prices are a little higher than your standard, but the quality of the food is several notches higher-you get what you pay for. This is restaurant quality food of a very high calibre. I like ordering a few different mezze type dishes and they've all been delightful: lamb meatballs/feta parcels/king prawns in tomota and chilli sauce. The side dishes or turkish rice/turkish bread/double cooked potato chips and hummus were incredibly tasty and fresh- you can really taste the difference-this is authentic turkish cooking made with care. I would also highly recommend the baklava which is a great way to end any turkish meal, and Aylaz baklava is as good as any I've had at some of the highly rated turkish restaurants I've been to. I am really looking forward to working my way through the whole menu. Customer service over the phone and over the counter was friendly and professional. I would recommend Aylaz to anyone who appreciates high quality cooking-especially if they wanted something different and to treat themselves. Thank you, Aylaz.

Just had a takeaway from Aylaz Beechwood st Sunderland. I very rarely write reviews but the food was so delicious and it's a new venture in Sunderland. It's definitely worth getting the word out so people can try their cuisine. Food was so fresh and so wonderfully prepared. Great portions, extras that we weren't expecting. Really worthy try.

Ordered from Aylaz tonight as its new in Sunderland and I normally go elsewhere. This food is different class, slightly more expensive, but so worth it. Beautifully presented food, we had the halloumi, king prawns to start, mixed grill and iskender for mains. The mixed grill was unreal, felt like I was on the beach in Bodrum, freshly grilled lamb cutlets were just unbelievable along with the chicken, mixed lamb, rice wow, huge portions couldn't eat it all. They say you pay for what you get, worth the little bit extra. Will definitely come back for more

Omg!!! About time, delicious healthy and sooo tasty. Don't know what they do to their rice, but even if you don't like rice , you will love this. The chicken and lamb are also amazing xx this is a family regular now 😊

it is a game changer.it is not ususal takeaway shop.it is restaurant quality chargrill cooked meat.rice is best i tried.good portions.best bread i had.cold and hot starters really nice.

Tried this tonight. Food was amazing, would highly recommend. Food was piping hot and delivered quickly. The garlic prawns as a starter are delicious. Portion sized are huge and the extra dips and sides finish it off. Not the cheapest but worth the extra money...
