The Axis Centre is just off the main road in Newmachar. The cafe offers soup, sandwiches, teas, coffees and a scrumptious looking selection of cakes & tray bakes in pleasant bright surroundings. Service is friendly and there's a mix of dining table & chairs and also comfortable armchairs at which to be seated. Todays parsnip soup was flavourful and the sandwiches freshly made to order. The Coronation chicken sandwich filling was chunky & mildly spiced and the cheese in the ham & cheese sandwich was strong& tasty. Sandwiches are served with coleslaw, crisps & an attractive side salad. The cafe caters for children, providing special meal boxes and accepts payment by credit card.
