I was going to order some ramen, but a Korean person asked if it was possible to get such a good meal. It's also expensive. The atmosphere is luxurious, but it's a bit pricey. (To prevent burnout)

Great pizza and ravioli. Dancing Queen pizza was over salted but otherwise great crust and flavors.

Probably the best big mama restaurant I've been to so far. The food was really good and seemed to be overall cheaper than the other restaurants . For 4 people we shared a pizza, each got a dish and cocktail and shared a dessert which ended up being £46pp. The waiters were super nice and good vibes. Will be going again and recommending to people.

While I enjoyed the menu of Circolo Popolare and Gloria more, Ave Mario's location is absolutely stunning: it seemed to me to enter an Italian balera of the 60s with the soundtrack of our childhood. The staff is lovely and my pizza was great. Thank you!

I love the Circolo popolare of the Big Mamma group but this is the worst restaurant in London. We ordered a carbonara (£19 per person, min 2 people) and the portions were tiny. No more than 3 bites per person. I understand we are in covent garden but this is a joke. It's pasta eggs cheese and guanciale. Does it justify paying 40 quid for 3 bites of that? Desserts were better portioned and filling. Compared to circolo popolare, portions are smaller, the vibe is chavvy and music is very clubby/ loud. I would not recommend this restaurant as it's extremely overpriced.

They had vegan mozzarella and it was the best vegan Margherita pizza I’ve ever had in London. Staff is very nice as well.

Disappointing Experience – Not as Advertised We were really looking forward to dining here after seeing the beautiful photos on the website, but our experience was far from what was promised. Instead of being seated in the elegant main dining area, we were led downstairs to a gloomy basement table uncomfortably close to the toilets — not exactly the atmosphere we had expected for a special meal. Service was chaotic. Two of our meals arrived, but my daughter’s was completely forgotten. Rather than taking our plates back and ensuring we could all eat together, we had to sit awkwardly with our food going cold while her dish was prepared. On top of that, the wrong starter was brought out and only replaced after our mains had already been served, making for a disjointed and frustrating dining experience. As for the food, it was underwhelming at best — overpriced and nowhere near the standard you’d expect given the cost. We’ve had far better meals at much cheaper chain Italian restaurants. Overall, very disappointed and unlikely to return

Have been to many Big Mamma restaurants across Europe, even own one of their cookbooks. This occasion was disappointing, service was cold from front house, all the way to servers. They had overcharged, but Manager did apologise and explain, which I appreciate. Even the same truffle pasta was better at Circolo, I don't know why it was so oily at this location. I will say, they have a thing or two to learn from their Milan location.

Crab linguine was watery and we could not eat, they did remove from bill. And gave us some Focaccia bread on the house. The salad we had to pay for it had so much dresssing we could not eat any of it. And they charged us £4.50 for bottle of water when we had tap water. I had not seen my friend for 7 years and this ruined our night as we were starving.

Food was good ! Took 20 minutes for us to be acknowledged for after sitting down. Took 30 mins between starters and mains being served. Benches had crumbs of food and needed a clean, counter tops between tables were very dusty and could also use a clean. Cutlery was old and was given a dirty spoon had to be asked to replace. Lemon pie has an ungodly amount of meringue which is what they are known for but seems like a bit of a waste as even two people would struggle to finish ! Good - small details can make it great !

Service was impeccable and everyone that served us were very friendly! I must say the vibes were amazing in this place. The deco in the various dining rooms to the plate designs were awesome. Ordered the bruschetta, pasta in truffle mascarpone sauce with fresh truffles and crab linguine. Truffle pasta was pretty heavy and was good for sharing. The butter lemon and seafood flavour in the crab pasta was great.

Incredible lunch at Ave Mario, came here with 2 friends as a lunch before heading to London’s West End Incredible food, authentically Italian, as are the staff. Super service and thoroughly enjoyed my seafood pasta followed by the incredible key lime pie and coffee to end. Would definitely return to try their pizzas! 🍕

This is one of the best restaurants in London I have experienced in 25+ years. I am Italian so clearly I am biased but the food here, the service, the presentation, the atmosphere… were all fantastic. This is a special place and you can tell immediately. I am looking to come back soon with my family, we all love it. What a joy to eat here, really. Thank you.

I don’t know how there aren’t more reviews about the crazy bathroom situation/smell downstairs. We were seated on the bottom floor and the smell of the bathroom was ALL you smelled - it was so bad. We tried to stay for a bit but eventually asked to move because it was such a gross smell throughout the entire bottom level. Once we moved, it was better. The food was fine but with the price people are paying for the food, the bathrooms shouldn’t be so gross and they should figure out the smell :(

The dinner itself was pretty good, although service was quite slow, and the downstairs dining area was quite noisy and dark. We were brought an extra dish by mistake which was then taken back to the kitchen, but were still charged for it. I tried following up by email but did not get a reply. Overall, would not recommend.

Had nicely cooked pasta that was flavorful. That was the only high-ish point. Service was below average. There is no "tending" to the customer. They want this to be like cafeteria service in terms of time/effort invested by waitstaff yet somehow feel justified in assessing a 13.5% service charge. Had to flag down waiter to ask for everything as he didn't bother to check in once, even after our dinners were dropped off. Ordered two large pours of wine but got just an average pour (based on our observations of other glasses we watched being poured as we were seated near the bar). Couldn't locate our waiter to ask him to check on this. We were finally able to flag him down to get our bill. Somehow it didn't seem surprising that we were charged for an extra bottle of sparkling water. Sorting this out took more time as, again, our waiter seemed to vanish. Who handles the training at this place? Can't imagine it will last long with service like this. No one wants to pay to be ignored.

Quirky decor which I loved. Friendly staff. Wish the olives were pitted to make it easier to eat but guess that’s the restaurant’s choice. Focaccia a bit on the drier side. The truffle pasta- Mafaldine Al Tartufo was the best! I could slurp the sauce. Tiramisu was kinda underwhelming, too much cocoa dust and didn’t have the kick from the coffee, kinda bland and creamy. I had the Basil b*tch cocktail (not pictured) and it was amazing! This hasn’t affected my rating as one could get by without this, but one thing I’d like to comment on were the loos. There is only one shared toilet with a very small number of cubicles for a large restaurant and were not very clean.
