Audley Fish bar in Newcastle-under-Lyme

1st time to Audley fish bar and I was very impressed,fish and chips were superb. I would definitely order from here again.

There's nothing better than fresh battered cod, chips fresh out of the fryer and gloomy mushy peas and lashings of salt and vinegar.

audley fish bar is amazing. the milkshakes are lovely and as a family we always order from here when we get a takeaway. the food is always good quality when we get it. i would 100% recommend this takeaway. staff are also polite.

Great food. Lovely chips and good portions. The breaded cod was really good.

Watery curry sauce in little plastic pots (suspect so they can microwave to order), good spuds but they're keeping oil temps low so they take a while and they come out greasy & limp. Asked for salt & vinegar and got one cursory waft of each. Get the impression they're counting pennies, which I might understand if they were cheap, but they aren't particularly. Guy serving was polite but didn't catch my gaze once.

Really unimpressed by this place.... the food is mediocre to be kind , the fish was chewy , chips undercooked and just went in the bin. Never mind , not again.

I had pie and chips, pie was soggy, undercooked and just warm. Chips were dry and obviously not recently cooked. Called to complain and was disappointed with the attitude, basically "Not their fault" Just moved to this area, will not be using this place again.

Lamb kebab special wasn’t so special. Chips weren’t great. Pizza was nice though.

I order fish and chips from Audley Fish Bar regularly and can never say I've had a bad experience. Fairly priced, good service and food is good quality. Can't comment on the kebab or burger as I havent had that before but the pizza, fish and chips is always good.

Horrendous worse meal I have ever had. Cold manky chips! Lamb kebab so tough inediable. Cheap cheese on chips. Save your money. Would have given 0 if it would have let me !

We ordered three separate meals. Two were ok but nothing special. I had lamb kebab, pitta bread and salad. I can honestly say that the lamb was the worst I have ever been served in my life. It was totally inedible and most of it ended up in the bin. I did phone to complain, but won't be going again.

We absolutely love this place! Can't fault them in anyway. Food is always great, super fast delivery and our order always arrives hot and correct everytime. Milkshakes are great, chips are amazing and finally somewhere that delivers a decent fish and pie. Not to mention the freebies when you spend a certain amount, great value for money. The staff are friendly and delivery drivers are a credit to the place! Hope it never changes!

Gorgeous pizza, 100% better than the main pizza chains. My mum and dad really enjoyed their kebabs as well. All fresh and hot as delivery was really fast.

Dry Fish (overcooked). Hostile Manager. Barred us for explaining the food was dry. Manager said non eaten food would be collected, an hour later it wasn't. Gave us partial refund but the guys attitude stinks. Wouldn't order from here again anyway.

Just had the most amazing fish delivered hot and on time with real chips

Had 2 fish in breadcrumbs but couldn't find the fish not drained full oil same with the chips sorry won't be coming again when first opened brilliant but gone down bank

Ordered a kebab and pizza for the boys, there was so much food with real chips, a very professional service, fresh food and high quality. Could you maybe do chicken wings on there own without chips?,

See edit lower down! Note this has changed owners and is now the Audley Fish Bar. It has also improved tremendously. Chatha’s was good, but the fish here is now fantastic: nice cod, crispy batter. Chips are good too. I rated this 5 stars. EDIT 2/7/20 New owners again, and unfortunately the quality has taken a turn for the worse. My fish had soggy batter, which was virtually inedible, the chips tasted like they had been fried in well used oil, and the curry sauce was really bland. The online online ordering worked well though!

Food is top notch. Clean place and used it about 8 times in the last two months. Highly recommend
