we usually go in to the Portside. My autistic son loves it, they are so kind and patient with him. He has large chips well done and a can of coke. Ben in particular is a star

My son is autistic and comes in once a week for his large chips well done and a can of coke. Staff are so lovely with him and know his order when he comes in. Ben also gives him a little pick and mix treat which he loves. Food is hot and delicious 😋

The last three times I've ordered from portaide everything has been fine. food always warm and delicious, and it's always come on time.

Absolutely delicious n today scampi pieces were big. Everything was delicious chips n curry sauce the best. Portside has not let me down yet. They deserve a gold medal food is so lovely packaged. So happy with my order n if you order from them, you will be too.

Go back to using the larger Breadcakes for chip butties, even though I only ordered small, there’s enough chips to fill that type of Breadcake. The really small round ones you sent this time just do not work as a chip butty as you can hardly get any in / they all fall out. Granted you sent 2, but they’re just not good for a chip butty.

Really good - fish and chips had a nice crisp and even the small chips was a big portion. Think everything is cooked in vegetable oil and my partner prefers that to traditional, beef dripping.

My order wasn't delivered, so the driver marked as delivered. I had fallen asleep and I tried to ring the driver back, but the call is rejected. I couldn't contact the restaurant because all calls were going to voicemail. Absolute abysmal service. I will be applying for a refund.

Driver couldn’t find the house. Food was also cold and not fresh. Fish seemed undercooked was very watery. Too much salt like it’s just been chucked on. Not an enjoyable experience. Not good value for money.

Edit - got portside a couple more times recently. The fish and chips have been really nice - hot, fresh and tasty. We share a regular between us and find it's enough with extras. Mushy peas are okay, I add salt at home. The popcorn chicken however is very inconsistent! The first time it was a huge portion, the box was filled to the top. The chicken was also good quality. The second time I was so irritated I felt robbed! The portion size was less than half and the chicken was not good quality. Not sure if I'll get it again. -- Nice fish and chips. Very hot and fresh. Only downside was some of the chips were undercooked in the middle and hard.

Avoid - I had fish, chips, curry sauce and a plain sausage on the 01/07/24 at lunch and had diarrhoea and vomiting during the night.

Tried them today for first time. Portions fairly small and much more expensive than others locally. Not impressed and won’t be rushing back.

I ordered the regular fish'n'chips and after felt like it'll be enough energy for a whole week (it felt like large, and they do have a large one too - that would be enough for a month worth of energy). Thanks

Perfect Fish and Chips, cooked to order everytime

Been coming here weekly for a while now and always order the same, came today and found the price up by £2.00 for the same order.. fair enough, prices rise, but to put the price up and half the amount of food at the same time is taking the Mick. Won't be back

As you can see from the picture, many of the chips had holes in them, looking as if they were rotten. The appearance alone was off-putting, but it got worse. Some of the chips had a greenish hue, suggesting they were far from fresh and possibly even spoiled. This is absolutely unacceptable for a dish that relies so heavily on the quality of its potatoes.

We visited today as a family of 4 after reading really good reviews. We booked a table and were seated promptly and offered drinks as soon as we were obviously settled. Service amazing and staff so friendly and attentive, the best service we have received in Fuengirola. Food was excellent, everything was fresh and tasted great. Very reasonable prices too. Thank you very much , we will definitely be back and recommend you to others 🐠 🍟

Came in this Sunday and can safely say it did not disappoint! Me and my wife decided to get a fish and chips each and a mushy peas, it was advised we went on a deal. For £22 I couldn’t complain a great portion, and the plus of a massive bottle of drink!

5 Star Fish, light crispy batter alongside that gorgeous Curry sauce is the perfect pairing. Portside is the place to be. Kind and polite Staff, stunning food and clearly a very well managed shop. With smart uniforms and restaurant level food I was blown away by the quality of everything even the decor was impressive!

Went into Portside this afternoon at around 2 and was blown away by the fish and chips, the excellent service and the lovely chat I had about the weather with a young fellow I think his name was Billy! This was my first visit and certainly won’t be my last! Can’t wait to go back!

There are moments in life where you have to take a minute and let the quality of an experience sink in...today was one of those moments. Your first beer, the first time you have a tangy haribo are nothing compared to the fish and chips I had today from Portside. The staff were exceptional, I mean exceptional and the food.....holly Barbara, the food was nothing less than stunning. Perfectly cooked, a great price and delivered with a smile that would put a 1980's American talk show host to shame.....If you need fish and chips, you need Portside

The order was missing an item so we called to report it and have it sorted out. I got passed around three people and eventually spoke to the manager (I think) who said it wasn't his problem. One person is now without their food. Will be avoiding from now on, I suggest you do the same.

I was in a bit of a rush and decided to stop by portside to pick up a chip butty. The service was immanent and workers were both cordial and polite. The local area has many fish and chip shops but portside emerges as the greatest and scores aces in food service and atmosphere!

The order was missing an item, called Portside to report it and get the missing item and they wouldn't send it.. One person is now without their food. Best avoided because if it does go wrong (which can happen) they are no help.

I’m not a person to usually leave a review unless it’s a complaint or a well deserved compliment. I am extremely fussy person when it comes to food. This place is the best fish and chip shop ever! The batter on that fish is perfect. In one week I have ordered twice from this place because of how tasty and fresh the food is. Honestly I’ve never had fish that good in my entire life, the chips and curry is perfect as well. I highly recommend this place.

Got our telephone order wrong. Insisted it was our fault despite having read it back to us. Whilst trying sort out, the phone rang, he answered it, told my partner to hang on and put hand up to stop him talking. Told him would leave it with him. Won't be going back

No food was even delivered. Rang restaurant to try and resolve and never heard anything back.

There are many places around that claim to be fish and chip shops but, fail miserably. However, If you like your Fish and Chips, I highly recommend this place! ... A propper chippy My usual place was closed so I decided to Google chippies nearby. There were a couple of suggestions but, this place stood out with 5 star raving reviews, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I entered I was greeted by friendly faces. I ordered fish and chips (slightly more expensive then my usual place). The fish was freshly fried so I had to wait a short while. Once I received my order and tucked in, The chips were spot-on, fresh and tasty... Well cooked. The fish...wow! It couldn't have been made any better. Both the batter and the fish were perfect. The fish was the best I've had for a long time. . Will definitely be back.

Very happy :) I have struggled to find a decent fish & chips for months but this one was perfect! Fish & chips both perfectly cooked and delicious + generous portions. I also ordered a jumbo sausage which was perfectly cooked and just as tasty. Everything arrived still hot as well which is rare for me. Keep up the quality. Thanks :)

I was told that delivery would take 20 minutes. Delivery too 20 minutes. Light, crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish. The chips were a bit dry but a bit of vinegar sorted them out.
