Atlantis Fish Bar in Telford and Wrekin

First visit and it was ok. Chips were very good, as were mushy peas and curry. The fish although a good size for a mini fish, just tastes odd for a chippy fish. It definitely wasn't cod and it didn't taste like Haddock- was a bit odd. The batter was good. I will try it again and specifically ask for cod - if the same is served again, I won't go back as I know cod and Haddock when I eat it.

I had the value box with curry sauce, at lunch time mid week had to wait for the chips but didn’t mind until I tasted them, they were hard even though they were large sliced the fish batter was if it had been sitting in the fryer which is a shame as the fish itself was good as was the sausage and the curry sauce. The staff were polite enough. ***note they have a minimum of £10 for card payments or you must have cash****

We are regulars here. Keenly priced, consistent, closely managed. Service staff always kind to the kids waiting.

Popped in for roe and chips. All cooked fresh. Batter on roe was not great, not cooked all the way through. Chips Great.

Had fish and chips and a Donar kebab. Food was really nice, chips were amazing,. Staff very friendly.will use again.

Wide selection of food available all freshly cooked while you wait does halumi burgers and fries and my personal favourite battered chips good clean restaurant with reasonable prices and the staff are friendly and helpful

Bought chips from there and they were great. Value is good and the menu has lots of choice. There was no queue when I entered and the staff were really friendly. Place was clean and I would definitely recommend them

To be fair we have started coming to Atlantis more than we used to and have to say that up to now can't find fault. Keep it going is all I can say

Not very nice at all. The batter on the cod I had was too overdone and was literally dripping with grease. I understand that fish batter is greasy but that was way too over the top and was cold too, the chips were also cold and sloppy. One of the worst chippies I've had in Telford.

Always good food and helpful staff

Always been great, just a shame that they close at the same time as I finish work. Update! Always been great, but not today. Just had fish and chips and the fish was like eating a lump of lard, soaked through the paper and now have greasy seats. Not happy!

I am usually last to complain but this was probably the worst fish and chips i have ever had. The fish was either warmed up from lunchtime or very over cooked. There was no batter it was like greasy leather. The chips were the same either warmed up from dinner time or just dried out. The one star is for the lady who served me who was pleasant and friendly.

They have good Covid protocols in place; only 1 person allowed in shop to order, wait outside then allowed back in to collect. Chips ok, fish ok, peas ok. Curry sauce a bit too sweet for me but understand that's a personal choice. Chicken curry was not to my liking either, weak curry sauce, large chunks of chicken and evidently put together just before I ordered. I would have preferred sliced chicken in thicker curry sauce cooked earlier in the day and left on the simmer, but again personal choice.

Best fish and chips in Telford by far. The fish is white and flakes and because they use cardboard boxes the batter stays crispy. The chips are to die for.

OMG battered chips and generous too. A small bag of chips from Atlantis is a large bag of chips in comparison to our local chippy in Newport. Just great. The staff are so friendly too. You either tell them when you get their for battered Chips or phone in advance and no waiting involved. X x x x

Just been and had our tea here. Was recommended by a friend, they must've been winding me up. Chips and fish were very greasy, the kebab was very salty, and the staff not too friendly.

Lovely well priced fish and chip shop also do battered chips which are worth the wait, would suggest calling in advance for these as they are freshly prepared too order.

More often than not the Chips are the best around. Staff could do with cracking a smile once in awhile. Chicken Kebab in Pitta bread is probably one of the best.

Check your order! They didn't put a large chips and sausage in my bag after I paid for it! 😡 however after calling they gave me a credit note for next time! 😐
