nothing against the restaurant but justeat are not doing anything. the delivery driver was delivering fish and chips to my elderly father (88 years of age) that I ordered for him. the driver caught on video door bell was repeatedly trying to enter his property and didn't knock or ring the bell. when mynfather opened the door he started to speak to the driver who ignored him and thrust the food bag at him. just eat have gone silent on the matter. the businesses are going to suffer because of them

Disappointed today, as the food was cold, the fish was tough as if it had been cooked a while ago and left in the warmer. The fish was also colder on the inside than the outer. Normally, we enjoy the food, and it's freshly cooked, but definitely not the case today

Food is good as always but it’s disappointing that the ‘chicken dippers’ don’t actually come with any dips. So maybe worth adding it to those food options as part of the deal like others. But apart from that the food is always first class

3rd time have had poor experience over past couple of months. This fish shops standards have lowered. Staff not getting orders correct, costs increased and not reflecting quality and definitely smaller portion sizes.. sorry but will be finding a new fish and chip shop.

We have just had our first meal from here, haddock and chips - the chips were cooked beautfully, crispy outside and soft in the middle, and the fish was lovely. It was a home delivery and sometimes this can made this meal soggy, but it was just right. Will definitely order again though will probably collect next time as delivery cost a bit steep.

My only complaint is the chips although very tasty but when unwrapping them they are all mushy and stuck together , like squashed really terrible. This has happened a number of times chips should be dry not so soft they stick together into a lump of mushy potato .

Food was great! Top marks on the fish and chips. Fish was the largest we've had from a chip shop, but the amount of the chips was a bit lacking for a large portion compeared to other places

delivery time was short on order but Just kept getting longer and longer waiting overall an hour after ordering. food was Luke warm as well and curry sauce was cold.

I ordered to the wrong address and the driver went the extra mile and brought it to me.

Very very busy but the cod was thin not much flavour. Highly priced but most places are now. I think if they sourced a better cod or even cut it thicker it would make a difference the batter was good not sickly but as I said above the cod was tasteless.

Order was delivered quick however food was disgusting. I won’t be ordering from there again

Since I used this place last they have changed their menu to give options when ordering certain things, which is a good idea, so I ordered a kebab WRAP, however when the order arrived they had ignored their own options system and sent me a kebab in pitta bread, there is no point giving people options to then ignore them. If it hadn't have been for that it would have been a better review and higher rating.

Food was good. Disapointed they would not sell batter bits. I thought the customer was always right. Took a while to be served although there wasn't a big queue. Disabled access. Limited parking.

Ordered a Haddock which was costly at nearly £12 and yet was the same size as a regular Cod or Haddock at pretty much any other chippy ... Same for the Large Chips we ordered; the portion size was the same as a Regular portion elsewhere ... While the Breaded Mushrooms were nice, they were pricey at £4.50. Food was decent but not spectacular, which made the high prices even more disappointing. Will stick with Werringtons and Avondale in Kettering; they're better fish 'n' chip stores and cheaper.

The food was excellent and hot. I ordered Haddock - the fish was cooked skin on which is just the way I like and it was not over cooked and was flaky. The chips were hot and cooked well. Absolutely no complaints

Have been ordering via uber eats during an illness and my god, their food is incredible and at a great price! Really can't recommend them enough, the only thing is that I might now be addicted... 😂

mango loco monster drink was missing and so was the cheese and chips. the burger was very burnt and there wasn’t many chips underneath the kebab meat

Unfortunately you need to cook your chips a little longer. Mine were pretty undercooked. Second time this has happened. Disappointed.

Food was over 45 minutes late. Tracking the driver it looked like he went to do other deliveries miles away from us. When the food did arrive everything was cold, chips were stale and stuck together. Might as well have took the £23 and threw it in the bin, abysmal

My husband had fish that had a fair few bones in it and I had a cheese and onion pastie which was either from the day before or even older. Could not cut around the edge it was that hard! Shame, used to be the best chippie around

Seems to be a genuine family run type business. I was reassured when I ordered haddock that it's not ready until it's ready and the end product is fresh fish fried just right, crispy but not oily. Good job Alantis!!

Had large and regular cod both cooked lovely, tasty fish and crispy batter also enjoyed chips.

I ordered 2x large portions but there is a big difference in the size of the fish. I think they put one large and one medium.

Food is perfect as always but not to keen in the chicken used for thr kebab. It is TOO red and looks like it been dipped in paint to get the colour. But apart from that the lamb meat, chips, salad, sauces were all perfect and the battered black pudding is to die for! I could live off that stuff

I don't eat takeaway foods but I do like nice fish & chips on occasion and I wasn't disappointed at all. I arrived and it was a little busy. I was acknowledged and informed there would be a little wait whilst they finished some orders. It was fine. My fish was beautifully soft on the inside with a nice perfectly crisp batter and hot. The chips were absolutely delicious and also piping hot. Slightly more expensive than I've paid at another F&C shop, but again because of the freshness, the delicate batter and delicious chips I honestly didn't mind.

Ordered a mixed kebab which was supposed to be served with a pitta bread, no pitta, asked for just lettuce, cabbage and onion on the kebab, opened it to find tomato and cucumber which I didn't want or ask for, apart from that the food was nice.

It's a nice place but it's wasn't that great to have for lunch but for a quick lunch on break it's worth it

It was really good but the burger was wrong. I ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with Garlic Mayo but received a Hamburger with Mint Sauce...didn't realise 'til I started it....it was still very good but not what I ordered. Think I may've been overcharged for what I received.

Lovely, fish and chips. Couldn’t manage to eat the battered burger as I was full. But disappointed I couldn’t find the battered black pudding. Hopefully it hasn’t been removed.

Food good but sent me a pepsi max which I didn't order and don't want so disappointed I didn't have my drink with my meal.

This has to be the best local fish and chip shop in Kettering. The food is outstanding , fresh and well cooked. I’ve never had a poor meal and I would give this a shop a solid 10 out of 10.

Food is always excellent. Do get annoyed with the chips sticking to the paper, wish they came boxed. Apart from that always spot on.

Delivery took over 35mins. Driver sat in Sainsbury's Car Park > 15 mins. Food stone cold on arrival. Yesterday got the wrong delivery and no help from anyone. Absolutely disgusting service.

Good but not great! Food good, no complaints. Atmosphere very busy Friday night. Told order ready in 30 mins. Drove to collect as first time we’d ordered from here. Not ready 35 mins after we ordered “just getting it together now.” 20 mins later we had a bag of albeit fresh,hot and delicious food but the kids didn’t get the chance to enjoy theirs as we had ordered with plenty of time for them to get to thier end of year school party. Not the best service but can’t fault otherwise.

Had a delivery issue, but shop staff was very helpful, and friendly on phone, food was perfect, when the issue was solved.

Waited one hour 40 mins was stupid because there was no drivers .

Order took around 1 hour 45 mins to arrive. Was a big shame as the food was lovely and very good quality.

Food not received for almost 2 hours . Called shop to cancel but told unable to do so. Just eat links not working. Went out and got other food before delivery came. Thrown away as no longer needed. Now I need to fight for refund

Over an hour and a half wait, when it turned up was cold and batter was soggy, very below average quality. Used to be great food from here.

Delivery driver just left the food on the doorstep and didn't even ring the bell. Food was dry and cold. The only edible thing was the beans, rest went straight in the bin. Nice birthday meal for my partner NOT !!!!!

What are you doing to plaice when you cook it? its like one person gets it perfectly right for weeks on end and then another boils it removes the skin and the flavour and its soggy like its full of water and has a texture of wet mashed potatoe, with a soggy batter. for the 3rd time this year Ive thrown it away it was awful compared to the last three weeks served up on a Monday or Tuesday Night. Previously Ive left much better reviews as the fish has been amazing but something went seriously wrong again tonight 16/10/2023.
