Atlantic Fish Bar and Diner in East Lindsey

We popped in on Saturday afternoon and we only had drinks as we wasn't really that hungry to have anything else planned,only to be told "we don't normally let people just order drinks when it's really busy"! Which was rather pointless as there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant, so pointless remarks that didn't really need to be said just makes us feel it's time to try somewhere else in future,the owner is fantastic it's just a shame for the odd one or two staff that always seem to have a sour look on their faces.One lady to which she been there for some years now as always made us feel welcomed no matter how busy she might be ( please keep up with the good work) it's not been gone unnoticed to us .....

I went this Wednesday to the Atlantic, and it was lovely to be in place that I felt normal being gluten free. The GF Fishermans Basket, wow the amount of food. And the quality, tasted like a homemade fishcake, big prawn's in the scampi, lovely light fish. GF vinegar on tables, and all the staff were all lovely. “Nobody puts Baby in the corner!” As the film states, unless its a Gluten Free corner, which I loved haha (love to see more restaurants doing that) Certainly will recommend & be back for your great food 😍🤩😋

Rude and snotty staff have been twice now food was lovely but staff are seriously rude all they want to do is shut up early and go home.We came yesterday around 6pm only to be told closing the website says open till late but the waitress says only at the weekends will not be returning

Finally got to try the Atlantic Fish Bar and I'm very happy to say it wasn't a disappointment. All we had was a normal piece of cod and it was one of the best pieces of fish we've had in skeg for a very long time. Price point was ok to and the staff all had a smile so happy days well done all at the Atlantic 🙏

Really nice and hot fish n chips

Amazing chips! It is so nice to be able to walk into somewhere especially a chip shop and not worry about gluten. Being celiac normally means I cannot enjoy fish and chips apart from set days. I read the reviews prior to visiting here with my family and it did not disappoint. The chips were amazing and the gluten free batter was lovely and crispy. It was nice that the gluten free menu was on the table and I didn’t have to ask, and the staff were amazing and just understood celiac. Other celiacs will understand that. Will definitely be visiting again.

Gluten free made to order, no reactions. Very pleased and reasonably priced. Shame the staff were bickering infront of customers. My photo will tell you how good the food was.......we didn't leave any Visited again this week and again food was great, no issues to report, again didn't leave any

having coeliac disease this restaurant is a real gem, dog friendly too, been coming for 7 yrs on holiday, we visit here everytime, staff friendly, great service, highly recommended.

Good gluten free choice and can recommend. Absolutely delicious 😋 and what's more it's the first place anywhere that offer gluten free vinegar. I had gluten free scampi and chips. This is also a first as I have never been able to eat scampi out since been diagnosed as coeliac. This was such a treat.

Helpful caring staff, comfy clean restaurant and freshly made delicious food . 3 meals all fully enjoyed by us and excellent value. Outside they have tables too for take away side which is a little cheaper . 100% recommend

In a crowded market for fish and chips, this is one of my top places I recommend to the guests at my B&B. They consistently deliver really good fish and chips. I have been here at least 12 times in the last year and not had a bad plate yet.

Good food and staff are very good

We came here on the 6th of July 2024 and I must say the food here is first class. The fish are very big indeed and the chips are beautiful. The only one little thing I would suggest is that the chips are cooked a bit longer as they were very anaemic. If you get fish and chips You also get a source of your choice for example curry sauce, mushy peas etc. The staff for lovely and friendly and the restaurant was very clean and tidy indeed. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a lovely fish and chip shop. We used to go to flippers but sadly, the last couple of years they have been a little bit poor so this is a lovely alternative.

GLUTEN FREE MUST VISIT PLACE. Please keep this absolute gem of a chippy open. Gorgeous gluten free food. No gram flour, soy,dairy- it's allergen free batter! I ate like a king. Take out is great. Eat in is brilliant. Beautiful and spotless environment. Also the waitress followed me with my phone when I left it on the table whilst assisting my Dad. Just in case she said ❤️so thanks. Keep up the hard work

Stopped here for lunch. I had the fish and chips special and my wife plaice and chips. We both really enjoyed the food and thought it was well cooked and good value for money. Service was friendly and professional.

The place was perfect, clean, tidy and well presented. Hand sanitizer all over when needed. Staff extremely friendly and approachable. Food portions were huge and we both struggled to eat even half the chips that was served. The fisherman's basket was great value for money. Tea was great. Few things that let us down was we were on a table of 2 and realy enjoying our meal then all of a sudden was surrounded by 6 people trying to squash on to a table at side of us that made us uncomfortable, so decided to leave. Also my wife's said her fish was cold but didn't tell me till after we left so I couldn't raise this with staff. All in all excellent service, food and value for money and will visit and recommend. There is disabled parking direct across road if you drop lucky to park for free.

Visited last year, and fish and chips were exceptional. Unfortunately, this time the standard of the chips had fallen considerably. Haddock and Cod were delicious. Very good knowledge on GF food and the GF chips were great, it was the standard chips that let it down.

Went to this place with my family and American visitor today, what excellent food and service and prices, I would highly recommend the Atlantic fish bar and diner for everything.

Spotlessly clean throughout, fantastic friendly staff , excellent gluten free options cooked in designated gluten free fryer, hot freshly cooked food , piping hot,quality ingredients, gluten free spam fritter was outstanding as was gluten free battered sausage and to top it off gluten free scraps and also gluten free bread and butter or roll available all of which were outstanding, would definitely recommend, non gluten free food was also top notch mushy peas with mint sauce were amazing

We visited here on Thursday, and was served by an accommodating and kind waitress called Lucy, she really couldn’t do enough for us. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. Will be returning and recommend to others !

Great gluten free options, the whole family loved this place

2nd visit and fish just as greasy and flat as the first visit.

Had a sit down meal, 4 adults and 2 children. The place was clean and staff friendly and efficient. The food was ok apart from the mini fish. £6.95 for mini fish and chips, no side included. However the mini fish was more micro fish and 95% batter. Roughly 1 mouthful of actual fish which was awful tasting anyway.

Just returned home from a fantastic meal at this little gem just off the main strip in Skegness. What a find! Fantastic food and the cod and chips was so good. A table of 7 of us and we all enjoyed our food. All reasonably priced aswell. The staff were excellent and so attentive. The facilities inside were lovely and clean and loved the wallpaper showing Skegness through the years. It was so much better than the majority of same establishments in Skegness. One criticism, spread was used on the bread and butter instead of butter. That is it! This establishment on to a good thing if they keep doing what they're doing. Perfection.

Lovely home cooked meals here. A great place to have a good meal with friendly staff. I may go back today!

Amazing gluten free fish and chips. Best one we have ever had! The batter was light and crispy and the fish tasted so good, the gf curry sauce was also amazing. Would 100% recommend especially for celiacs it’s so good to be able to eat such a lively gluten free fish and chips!

Awesome food/experience and great quality, we have gluten free requirements so was pleased that the staff knew about the special handling etc and vinegar etc, had a great meals, would recommend and everything was good the next day also ;)

Bought fish and chips special for me and my partner and it was disgusting 🫣,,,fish was very greasy, and the chips weren't bad,but had to much rubbish in them, ie(sharpies),,the chef came out as we were leaving,,and just shook her head,the lady who served us was apologetic, and that was that, nothing from the chef 👨‍🍳.

Great gluten free menu which was also dairy free. Food was amazing and super helpful staff when we kept asking about dairy in the foods.

Me and my wife and friends, came to Alantic fish bar and diner today on 14th October .My wife is Gluten intolerant , we decided to come here so we could all enjoy a lovely meal together. Are drinks arrived then my meal and two friends meals arrived . We decided to start our meal , hoping my wife's meal would arrive, Ten minutes later stil no meal, so I asked the waitress where my wife's gluten free fish and chips was, she went and checked then came back with another waitress to say that unfortunately and allegedly the computer had not printed all of the order , the waitress offered a free drink and would put the gluten free order. But as the other had nearly finished at this point my wife declined , as the whole point was to eat together. Very disappointed coming all this way for nothing.

Clean and tidy. Breakfast was cooked to order and really lovely.

Food was of good quality if a little expensive (£14.95 for the fish & chips in the photo). The service was fast but we weren't told about the fish special @ £9.95 that included peas, curry or gravy, 2 rounds of bread and butter plus tea/coffee or cold drink. We only found out about the special after hearing a different waitress tell the table next to us 'what good value for money it was', had we known about it I would have saved myself £15 which would have been much appreciated during a cost of living crisis. Maybe the owners could include the specials on the menu or have a separate specials menu on each table.

Another visit to the Atlantic Fish Diner for gluten free fish and chips. Excellent quality fish and chips and a generous sized portion.

I have recently been diagnosed as a coeliac and have since been really apprehensive about eating out, going on trips etc etc. Its a little nerve wrecking to travel or go out for the day and not know whether you'll be able to eat all day or not! So I planned a little day trip to skegness with my mum and my girls and immediately started researching gluten free chippys in skegnes. Because let's face it you can't go to the coast and not have fish and chips! So I found atlantic fish bar on glutenfreeuk and read the good reviews decided we would give it a try. I was pretty amazed at the gluten free menu it was practically the same as the main menu it was huge! I ordered a mini fish and chips and asked hopefully if the curry was gluten free. The lady told me they specifically make a gluten free curry sauce, well I was overwhelmed with excitement! I ordered my food along with the muggles food... It came pretty quickly and other than me ruining my initial dinner with batley malt vinegar! (Remember recently diagnosed and old habits die hard) My second meal came out very quickly and the food was lovely!! My mum actually tried my gluten free food and said that she preferred mine to hers! The environment was clean and tidy with options to eat in or takeaway. The servers were kind and polite. The food was tasty, hot and fresh!! All round thumbs up and will definitely visit again on our day trips there.

Tables dirty. Gluten free fish and chips tasted old and bland. to your reply..... on the day I came in it wasn't busy so that's an poor excuse soon as someone leaves or sits the table should be cleaned. I have been gluten free for 3 years I am aware of how fish and chips should taste as ive eaten plenty, yours tasted stale (old) and was also dry and very bland (both fish and chips). Also just because I'm gluten free doesn't mean I should be served bland stale food. Fresh cod doesn't taste like what I was served and chips are naturally gluten free so no excuse for how dry and old they was. Thanks ☺️

I Enjoyed the jacket with salad and my partner had OAP fish dinner very tasty no complaints will go again it was nice to have a reasonable priced meal that for me wasn't fried the service quick and efficient by Ellie my only niggle the toilet could have been cleaner.

I go to Skegness three times a year and I go in there twice a week. I find the food is great value for money and the staff are very efficient and friendly.

After a letdown of a meal at Papas round the corner serving us fish cakes that were all frozen in the middle we left dispirited and went looking for somewhere else to eat.. We discovered the Atlantic fish bar and had an amazing meal. We were welcomed by Lucy who is a very polite and down to earth waitress, she recommended I try a Yorkshire fish cake which was top notch and I will definitely be counting down the days until we come back to skeg just so I can get another one!! We all enjoyed our meals , friendly staff, great chefs and good value for money!

Our last day in Skegness we thought we have got to have fish and chips as it is a must have at the seaside. So we thought we would try the Atlantis fish bar as it looked well presented on the outside. We paid over £30 for 5 people which we would expect a good quality meal. We asked for lightly battered cod but what we had recieved was absolutely disgusting. It was thick with batter and dripping with grease we had to feed the food to the seagulls and didn’t have a good experience! i would highly advice to not try this place as it isn’t nice for a seaside restaurant. We phoned for a refund and all we got was attitude and rudeness i question as to how they have 4.3 stars as it is absolutely diabolical. Also we ordered cod and it was no where near cod as i have had cod many of times

We visted for our 2nd time today for Breakfast. Service was friendly food was fresh and hot. One of the best breakfast we have had in a very long time. Excellent quality of produce and and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Thank you and keep up the good work!

As a coeliac, I have to say its refreshing to find somewhere that does MORE than salad, omelette and jacket potatoes!!! Curry was gorgeous, if not a tad too salty for me. The batter on the fish and scampi was crispy and spot on. The fishcakes were delicious. If I didn't have to travel 5 hours every time I wanted food like this, then I'd become a regular.

The BEST fish and chip place in Skegness. Met the owner who was lovely and took the time to speak to us. Staff were all lovely too! Caters for Halal as they do not mix their oils like most other places. Will definitely be back again next year!

I wouldn't give it any star's Asked for the half chicken (thinking being a fish and chip shop it would be deep fried) came out no deep fried chicken in site but microwaved chicken instead. Definitely won't be going back
