Had a lovely meal here as a couple. Quiet and comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. Food was delicious with very good portion size and good verity to choose from.

Had a fantastic meal at Athugala Ceylon! The cheese and chicken kottu, devilled chicken, egg hoppers, and chicken rolls were all delicious. For dessert, the watalappan and caramel pudding were perfect. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and clean. Highly recommend for anyone craving tasty Sri Lankan food!

First time eating at Athugala and we were very happy to find an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in Bristol. Our favourite was the Chicken Kottu. It was absolutely delicious! Not dry or too wet and a nice amount of spice. I felt like all the food had a home made taste. Not oily at all, which I find in most Sri Lankan take away restaurants. The lampraise is more like a yellow rice but the batu moju, cadju curry and chicken curry were tasty. The egg hopper had a nice coconut taste and the egg was perfectly runny but not hot and crispy enough in my opinion. The jackfruit curry had an authentic home made taste. The black pork curry could have been more roasted and spicy but still very yummy. We will definitely be recommending the Kottu to all our friends!

Honestly was so impressed. As a Sri Lankan, the few restaurants I’d go to for Sri Lankan food didn’t taste the same as food from back home until I came to this restaurant. The food was everything you’d taste back home! I loved it so much. Also the music and vibe was so great it made me feel like I was back home having a cozy dinner with my family! Im so glad I found this place! The server was an angel too, loved her so much!

Ahh, really glorious space to dine in. The pumkin dish was excellent, delicious vibranr flavours, and we had a Pol Sambol as well with it. As there were some dishes we had not endulged in before, this was an opportunity to do so. This was the green bean curry really delicious and beetroot, which was quite standard. The aesthetics included a great map sharing the names of the Sri Lankan regions alongside paintings around the space. As we don't have rice we bought our own salad to compliment these fantastic dishes. We will be going again to immerse in the Dhal & Jackfruit

Small family run restaurant. The food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully spiced. I had the vegan cutlets to start, followed by chicken noodles, and to finish Watalappam. All of which were delicious. I can't wait to go back.

I visited few times and also had a good experience but unfortunately today was not. Because I ordered chicken curry and parrots and not satisfied at all due to the poor quality not a place I would recommend.

Went to Sri Lanka 7 years ago and have been searching for the delicious food we ate there ever since... Primarily string hoppers, chicken curry and daal, and this place took me straighten back! Even did a set meal with string hoppers chicken curry and daal! It was so good! Thank you!

Great value especially considering the ingredients are fresh and authentic ! The cost of living has people paying way over the odds for basic food … so anyone who loves traditional food and tasty .. look no further! The hoppers with curry and dhal were gert lush ! I highly recommend Athugala Ceylon for people who love delicious Sri Lankan food. The food was really tasty specially the lamprais. The delivery was swift, taking less than 40 minutes from placing the order to having the food at my doorstep. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.

The food is simply great. Interesting, bold and tasty flavours offer a nice variety within dishes. I had the Lamprais, with pork, aubergine and jackfruit curries, which was really filling and great value for money. I'd also recommend the Lion stout.

Yesterday we ordered a Lampris, chicken kottu and parata. Food is delicious and super quality. we felt the taste of Sri Lankan relish. The owner is very friendly and he delivered food home with in 30 minutes

Best takeaway curry in Kingswood! Full of rich aromatic flavours, pork and mutton curries are next level. Thought the menu was a bit pricey but good portions and the quality made up for it. Quick service for takeout too. Definitely returning.

No problem with the food, but the delivery driver was rude. The location was pinned correctly, he phoned for me to come outside to collect and argued with me when I tried to explain he was in the wrong place. I had to leave my building and walk to another street to collect the delivery as the driver was rude and argumentative. I appreciate he may not be associated with the restaurant but it was very irritating when he hasn’t delivered to the right place.

Really tasty Sri lankan food! We chose vegan options which were delicious, but the meat options we saw also looked very good. Plenty of options at great price. Particularly recommend the devilled dishes and kotthu. We went on valentine's night and were surprised how quiet it was, please go here so we don't lose such a great place!

Today I popped in to grab some lunch I had a chicken fried rice and some of the rolls with meat in. Everything is fresh, hot and delicious, also really friendly when I went in, I will definitely going back! Also it’s very clean inside!

A fabulous restaurant with filling and flavourful Sri Lankan food. I ordered the lamprais for my main course with the jackfruit curry which was amazing. Great selection for vegetarians. We ordered loads more off the menu to take home for Christmas day dinner! Highly recommend.

First time trying this as takeaway and eating Sri Lankan and it was great. Took 30-40 mins to arrive, same as time estimated. All the dishes were really tasty and good quality. Nothing greasy or cheap. Would highly recommend, one of the few higher quality food places in Kingswood.

Holy moly this place is soooooo tasty! Seriously rich, tender and delicious. I cant recommend it enough! The curries are a little on the small side - not that I was left hungry but I could’ve eaten more and definitely wanted to. The devilled dishes are also amazing. The dishes are pretty spicy - don’t remember them being this hot in Sri Lanka. Going to make this our go-to take out. Banging 👌

Decided to try something a little different. Chicken Kottu was very tasty and arrived at the perfect temperature... but we could not finish it due to the amount of chilli in there. Tried to persevere as it was so flavoursome but only made it 1/3 through the portion. Just too hot for us. If I am passing the restaurant I would order it again but ask for less/no chillis!
