Athena in Bath and North East Somerset

I’ve been in Radstock drop of my son for a birthday party so i decided just walk in to Athena asked if we can eat in or must be booked with advance and nice waitress told us they are full book but went ask on the back and told us we can stay by 7.30 what was great for us we needed go anyway before 7pm. The place is small but so nice , service so nice and polite and good delicious 🤤 definitely will be back but this time with booking before. They don’t have car park however if you go on proper jober shop/ subway you can have 2hrs free car park and Athena is just 3minutes walk from parking.

Affordable deals during the week, highly recommended venue for a spot of feeling like you are in Greece- or indeed in the Mamma Mia movie; thanks to the decor!! Easy to book, and lovely welcome when you arrive. This was our first time, and was highly recommended by a friend - it was a birthday dinner and we had the best show we have ever seen! Wishing happy birthday in Greek and in English, followed by an astonishing surprise that you have to go and experience for yourself! I cannot wait to go back again soon, the food was delicious and you can BYO drinks, which is amazing! I think all our birthday dinners will be booked there now on! Highly recommended!

Had a great tasting and good value meal here. I had the Friday special, 4 dips with fluffy pitta, a starter and main all for £14.95. The spinach and feta parcels were good and the veggie moussaka was good. Note they don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own

Such good value for money. £14.95 for a selection of dips, pita, starter, main and ice cream! They have made some really nice touches to the place

This was our second visit to Athena - both times the food has been amazing . The atmosphere & staff are lovely. We had the set meal for £15 - a bargain for the amount of food we had ! Defiantly recommend it

The chef went to the trouble of making me a chilli sauce when I asked if they had any. Perfect service and perfect food. Inside is decorated beautifully. It felt like we were on holiday!

Lovely food, great service and nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the mixed grill and vegetables with halloumi. It’s also very kid friendly so highly recommend for family outings.

A great little restaurant in the middle of Radstock. The food was really wonderful and the restaurant had a feel of a authentic Greek resort. Wonderful decor. Would recommend to anyone who wants the authentic experience, great value aswell.

Had my first meal from here this evening ordered a takeaway. What an amazing place so friendly and the food was some of the best I have had, hot, tasty and very filling I will definitely be trying more items on the menu and can’t wait to have a sit down meal

Small Greek restaurant, but great value. Booking is needed as small and obviously popular, but also do takeaways. The food I have had is always freshly cooked and tasty.

Very lovely little restaurant, it really felt like we left Radstock! The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. No alcohol licence so it's BYOB. We shared the Greek sausage which was one of the best sausages I've ever had! I had the roast chicken, the skin was nice and crispy but the meat was still very moist. My wife had the lamb Kleftiko and said it was lovely!

Booked a last minute table via messenger. Had a really delicious, fresh dinner. Places like this need to get known and get busier. It was a lovely change from 'normal' food. My wife is from Hong Kong and has never tried Greek food, she loved it. Very reasonably priced too. Good luck and best wishes to the owners

Went here for a team gathering and despite our combined catering backgrounds we found it faultless. Set price menu was not only generous but superbly executed and with a decent range of choices (filo feta parcels looked really sexy but my prawn dish was just lovely) Staff and owner all a pleasure to chat with and even the smily chef popped out for a well deserved round of applause, frankly I'm embarrassed I've not used this gem of an eatery before but will be booking soon... Thanks Athena keep on being awesome 👌 Added bonus it's currently byob so easy on the pocket too but there are fairly priced softs available too 😀

What a fabulous little restaurant in Radstock! We are thrilled that we have found it, and right on our doorstep!! We were whisked back to our holidays in the Greek islands! Very imaginative decor and a fabulous menu at reasonable prices and huge portions! We couldn’t fault anything. We will definitely be back, especially for the Wednesday and Thursday specials! We ate here tonight and we're really impressesd with the meal and the service. We had the set meal which they offer on a Wednesday and Thursday evening. It was an absolute bargain, really good food and plenty of it. We will definitely be returning on a weekend to try the extended menu.

Amazing Greek restaurant.Delicious food

Visited Athena on Saturday 26th November 2022, we live in Wells and have always used the Greek Taverna there, heard about Athena and decided to give it a try, we weren't disappointed, Harry the owner served up excellent authentic Greek food, very generous portions, lovely gem of a place and we definitely will be back. Tried Athena for the first time this evening on recommendation and it didn’t disappoint!! Beautiful food, stunning bijou restaurant setting and warm friendly staff. The soft Greek music gives it a real authentic ambiance too. almost wish we’d eaten in instead of takeaway (but we will definitely be back over the summer) can’t wait to try the rest of the menu as dining in offers even more delicious sounding options.

Fab little place, easy to miss near the roundabout. Beautifully decorated inside, feels like you could be in a Greek courtyard rather than Somerset. Food was very tasty, especially the feta rolls. We will be back!

I would have liked to give this place 5 stars. The food certainly looked excellent. But as I was given no food, no explanation or apology and abandoned without the meal I had ordered it will have to be a 1 star. *Edited after a bizarre response.* Why would I lie? I have no need to. It can't be personal as I have no idea who you are. What does the Riverbank have to do with anything? I arrived at exactly the time I was told, the staff behind the counter looked surprised to see me. She went out the back then came to the front and asked me to wait outside and it would be right out. I waited outside for 10 minutes, then left as no food or explanation was given.

Authentic Greek dishes and super generous portions, especially the Greek salads which are huge. This is such great value and quality I will definitely be returning again. I wish them every success in this new business.
