Not been to Riversedge for quite some time and so pleased I returned for a further visit. Went early Friday afternoon and the premises were reasonably busy. Service was very efficient and friendly. Had a lovely cheese scone and a piping hot mug if good quality coffee. There’s quite an extensive menu and they cater extremely well for those that are gluten free. Prices reasonable and a nice atmosphere within. WiFi available. Extensive free parking available nearby. They also have a nice array of home crafts and jewellery available. A lovely well run establishment

Thank you for a gorgeous lunch in your beautiful restaurant. We spotted The Riversedge on TA and what a find. The photos definitely don't do it justice. We visited (with our dog) on a cold Saturday and were immediately welcomed by staff and the warmth of The Riversedge. We had soup (mushroom) and sandwiches and they were just perfect. Our little dog was given treats and made to feel welcome. Lots of local people eating (always a good sign) and lovely gifts on display. We didn't manage a cake due to the fab sized portions but will be back to sample. Thank you for a yummy lunch on our holiday weekend.

The Cafe is just off the beaten track, just a few minutes walk (over a new pedestrian bridge) from the High Street. Parking is easy and there is little I can say about the breakfast other than it’s freshly cooked, delightful and throughly recommended. The shop has some interesting locally made products that are fun and we ended up buying a couple. Go and enjoy wonderful food in a refreshing (but well hidden ) venue, you won’t regret it.

We popped in for breakfast and weren’t disappointed. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious. Quality ingredients cooked really well at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

What a lovely place to visit. Gordon is so lovely and friendly and the food is fantastic. We were there for a couple of get togethers and we were not disappointed with the food and the service. I cannot praise The Riversedge highly enough and cannot wait to go back.

Had a few coffees and lunches here. It has a great ambiance with loads of great local crafts to look at and buy ( also a stockist of french chic chalk paint) . The service is amazing, really friendly and helpful, food is excellent, unpretentious and good value. Coffee and tea served in an eclectic collection of vintage China. There is a lovely covered outdoor courtyard as well as the inside space. If you are looking for character and local colour and charm don’t miss this place!

Been before, will visit again and again +++ Even though Commercial Road is closed ‘At the Riversedge’ is still open and well worth a visit. We’re so glad this gem of an eatery has reopened after the summer lockdown. The food is just as good as before and the ambiance is not compromised by the restrictions required by social distancing

This has got to be the best wee hidden gem of a coffee shop ! Great coffee, cracking food, and friendly staff, combined with a great selection of arts and crafts make this a ‘must do’ when in Hawick.

Whenever I visit the Riversedge I have a lovely cafe experience and then I usually end up buying something else - either a piece of artwork, an item from one of their handmade displays or a fresh loaf or or another item from the shop at the front door!

I like to buy my presents here as they're hand made and local but the food is always perfect. They are opening a bit more of it up as a food shop today with lots of fresh veg and yummy things so will be in there much more.

Popped in to The Riversedge for a late lunch, fantastic quality and value. Excellent variety on the menu, difficult to decide but opted for the open seafood sandwich, very pleased with my choice. Regular visitor for their fresh scones and tasty coffee. Also has a good selection of local arts and crafts on sale. Good advert for ‘shop local’Ruth and Simon are perfect hosts, will be back to try the new menu.

We first visited late in 2018 and it was a pleasant choice for a coffee or tea and cake and scones. We’ve now been twice this year and we’ll certainly be returning on a fairly regular basis. They’ve started offering some really interesting and very tasty food, the standard is really good for such an unexpected find. The Riversedge is worth a visit to see all the arts and crafts that made locally and offered at reasonable prices, but now, with the addition of the tasty, well presented food, it’s a great place to visit.Thank you, we’ll be back, often!

Been here a few times, it’s a handy location for me but I have to say the food is just perfect. It’s a lovely friendly place. Always a decent special for vegetarians, makes a change from the basic offerings elsewhere. The curries are nice and light and full of flavour. Today I opted for the cheese selection with pickles, it was just perfect on a nice day like today. My only comment would be I’d like to see a piece of blue cheese of some kind. What was there though was very tasty.

Wow, fabulous food and made to feel most welcome. Dog friendly, Harris just loved David the co-owner. The Sunday beef roast was just the best we have ever had, a must. The food was so good we booked for the Italian night later in the week. The lasagna is to die for. Sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream was stunning. Best book of your going as you may be disappointed if you turn up, tables fill fast. Jason, Lesley and Harris.

After reading a recommendation on the internet, we called in at the Copshaw kitchen on our way back from camping in Kielder. Cut a long story short, I’m glad we did. Having munched my way through hundreds of cooked breakfasts whilst camping, walking and cycling all over the UK, this is the best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Add to this the friendly staff, clean faciities and local produce from the butchers across the road, I couldnt recommend the Copshaw Kitchen highly enough…superb!

We had heard really good things about The Night Safe and decided to book a table for lunch, especially as Friday is always busy in Hawick. The welcome, the ambiance and the choices on the Light Bite menu were, all, amazing. It’s a good idea to discuss your choices with the staff who explained the multi cultural dishes, eloquently. We settled on 4 of the light bites (not quite as light as we expected, with very generous portions). We chose, Haggis Bon Bon’s, Panko prawns, Calamari and Bao Buns with chicken in a buffalo sauce. We shared, and, the Bao Buns with chicken were particularly good and we ordered another portion, to share. ALL of the dishes were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and very much enjoyed. We’re really looking forward to our next visit.

Faultless food and service in a superb, comfortable location. Birthday dinner for five of us, varied choices from beeg to schnitzel to scampi...all beautifully cooked and presented. 3 starters, 5 mains, 3 desserts, drinks and wine working out around £30 a head..great value. Will definitely be back
