My husband has been wanting to try a full English breakfast for so long and we finally got the chance when we had a stopover in London. We’re so glad we chose Astral because it was amazing and everything he had hoped it would be. Not to mention rhetorical fantastic value and great service.

This was my first meal in London, and I loved it. I had the meat lasagna and chips, and the wife had the chicken casserole. Loved it! Many apologies for walking out without paying for the wife's meal. We returned and paid once we found out. It was due to a miscommunication on our part; we apologize.

We had breakfast twice at this restaurant. The service was quick and the breakfast was delicious, well served. Ideal if you want to try a traditional English breakfast in a local restaurant. Good prices.

Most bland food ever, got this recommend while asking for something italian

We initially wanted to go to the Regency Cafe having seen a few recommendations. When we arrived in front, the queue was enormous and looked for alternatives. Astral café is an excellent one, just one block away. What you lose in beauty of the place, you win in authencity with real London workers seating on your side. Plates are plentiful and tasty, service efficient ! Good value for money

Very pleased to find another bloody good, proper, sandwich shop/cafe. Great bread, generous fillings, proper food. Loved it. Egg mayo and salad bap - delicious. More veggie options, like a veggie sausage based breakfast, would be good.

We came across this place by chance and were amazed by the quality of the breakfast. Low prices and plenty of dishes. If you really want to have an English breakfast this is the right place for you. It is located a few steps further from the famous "Regency café" which we avoided due to queues and discovered that this excellent place is 10 steps further on. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try the "non-touristy" English breakfast, it's really worth it!

Stumbled across this place by accident and went back every day I could for breakfast. The best breakfast we had anywhere in England, phenomenal value, big portions, easy atmosphere. It’s where the cabbies eat and they’re onto something.

A real gem of a cafe, great food that is cheap, hard-working and polite staff with quick service. This is where the real londoners come to eat.

I discovered this cafe by chance, the Regency Cafe opposite was far too full for me, there was also a huge queue in front of the restaurant. The food can't be that good that I have to wait in line for hours. That's why I went to Astral Restaurant to try it out. And what can I say, it was absolutely worth it, the best thing that could have happened to me. It was also very busy here, but I managed to get a place. The staff was very competent and friendly despite all the work. The food tasted excellent, as did the coffee. I could charge my phone, read a newspaper and watch the goings-on outside through the window. A perfect early morning breakfast. Definitely recommended!!!

WHERE ALL OF LONDON'S TAXI DRIVERS CAME TO EAT!! Funny story, I knew about this place when I was drunk after hanging out at a bar in Central London and fell asleep in the cab. Instead of driving me to my destination, the driver just drives straight to here and buys himself a dinner lol Very awesome place. It has a good selection of food so much so that a picky eater can have a feast here and it's incredibly cheap. The service is quite terrible but I don't care

If you like British breakfasts this is a good place to visit. Coffee is good as well. Food is delivered quickly.

We went because of the reviews, and it does not disappoint, in the mornings it is full of local people. He served us the typical British breakfast, very abundant and at a very good price.

I went to find a greasy spoon when visiting London from Sydney and with the queues at The Regency I opted for Astral on the next corner. I was not disappointed! I chose my option of Full English/Fry up to come with tea. The mug was brought already brewed, milk in and the perfect colour. It was one of the best cups of tea I have ever had - better than I make it myself! The breakfast arrived moments later with 2 rounds of buttered toast cut into triangles. The service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend Astral for a greasy spoon experience!

English breakfast is quite good. The apple pie with cream is delicious. Coffee is good too. It's an old taxi driver's cafe. The atmosphere has that charm in it. Excellent service.

I walked past today en-route to the tube. I popped in and decided to stay for early lunch. Very quick service, extremely good value for money , brilliant all day breakfast ( number 4 no black pudding) I really enjoyed it and will 100% go there next time I’m in the area .

Great value for money! So kind people and tasty food! We loved the waiter from Kosovo he was very nice and funny😊 only 7£ for great breakfast plus great coffees!! They even had oat milk and such nice food on the front as well!

Great cheap cafe with friendly service

Affordable, no-frills spot for food. Quite busy, so it takes some time for you to be served and pay at the front. Ordered a Cornish pasty and chicken soup, came after a short wait. Nice and warm, didn't taste bad, great option on a cold winter day.

Looked for a local cafe that served English breakfasts & came across this one on google. My partner& I ordered 2 slightly different EB that came with a cup of coffee & it was delicious. Great pricing & great service. Would come back if I were to visit the area again.

Space is tight but I was seated immediately. Their English Breakfast tastes great and is very filling. I had it for lunch and it was enough to get through the rest of the day exploring London.

The food is absolutely amazing scampi is fresh lovely sweet peas, fish excellent and batter perfect, piping hot, cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cucumber is amazing best cucumber, cans of coke arrived chilled lovely, foil on top of fish and chips to keep it hot, this is the most spotless cafe ever all staff wash there hands regularly , i have also been to cafe they have a lovely drinks selection and selection of donuts, all staff are polite the staff at astral cafe looks after you they always go the extra mile, flawless, Impeccable. my friend in a wheelchair always recommend astral cafe he has sent a lot of taxi drivers there and taxi drivers have came back to him and said that is my regular cafe now.

What a great place to grab dinner. We had the steak/mushroom and mozzarella/ham sandwiches. Add a couple of drinks, and we were set. Not expensive at all. A ton of locals piled in after us, letting us know we had made a good choice. Servers were great. The kitchen was closed, but there were still tons of options.

Aucun sourire au moment de l'encaissement... apparemment il avait rendu trop sur la monnaie. Au lieu de s'expliquer gentiment et correctement, il a retirer l'argent de notre main, brutalement et sans aucune explications... mon mari n'a pas compris ce qui se passait. Café sympa mais je n y retrounerai pas. Un peu de bienveillance et sourire manque au service en place 🙄 Ça aurait fait toute la différence

Good cafe, been on multiple occasions. Takeaway food prepared quickly, portion size and flavour good. Good value for money. Service could be better - today I wasn’t acknowledged for a little and then the staff weren’t particularly friendly, however they were very efficient. Overall recommend.

Lasagna a bit odd, not really great quality. The sandwiches are great from here though. Chicken curry was 95 percent rice with a tiny bit of curry dashed over it - the jacket potato chicken curry has more chicken and curry, for a much smaller price! Delivery always seems to be an issue though. My first ever order here driver got lost, and today, my delivery didn't even turn up and it was marked as delivered. Had to reorder, and the driver got lost again!
