Ordered a cheese chip wrap with mayo. No mayo in it. Soggy wrap and chips

I just bought a 10 quid kofta kebab. The pitta was in the bag with a cut in it but no meat put in the reason being it was rock hard. The salad was so off it tasted disgusting It is undescribable the meat had a red fatty oil floating round it the chilli sauce was on the meat but some sort of pulpy paste. I'm going to be sick from the taste if the salad it really made me gip even though i only had a forkful and spat it in the bin where i have put the rest too. I feel this should be reported as a public service so I will I've got proof as well as I paid on card.

Absolutely bile the chips was stale. Wasn't fresh just reheated you could tell with the photo in the middle. I ordered a chicken and donner wrap the donner wrap was fine the chicken one was like a toothpick I was fuming. Definitely won't be ordering from there again.

This place has gone down hill massively the food is shite and they can never get the order right, the last three times we have ordered they have messed the order up massively if I was you I would avoid.

Normally really enjoy the food from Here. However this evening it wasn’t great at all Delivery was fast, before stated time However the lamb and donner was luke warm and a little greasy. Chips was inedible, felt like they had been double cooked to wa them up The jalapeños bite was good and really warm. Which is confusing when compared to the rest of the meal May debate going here again

Update July 2024: Still the best! Visited last night. Polite staff, great food and a free garlic pizza to boot. Perfect. 5 Stars! Go to stable and the best kebabs this side of the south of England! Meat seasoned perfectly and tastes like meat (not curried meat). Perfect 10/10!! Update: Visited last night and I am pleased to say they are still the king of kebabs! Keep up the good work guys.

The food here is very good and staff are very friendly. We often go here for take aways however we have had an instance or two when an item was missing despite being on the receipt and being charged for it. It wasn't anything major just a side but still an inconvenience.

When I had the cheese chips on Monday I was sick that night and couldn’t stop and I knew it was them because my friend had some and she was sick aswell

Had the chicken and lamb shish kebab again tonight, with added cheese as extra. The chilli sauce tastes homemade and it was absolutely gorgeous as always! Fast delivery and really fresh and delicious. 1 kebab with small cheesy chips on the side easily stuffed the two of us! Try it, you wont be dissapointed!!!

Got an Askern grill special kebab last night, got home opened the box, No salad, the kofte lamb and chicken were all over cooked and dry, the doner meat was tasteless, and the pitta was like eating cardboard, the garlic dip was nice. Worst kebab ever had.

Really gone down hill . The food is mediocre now nothing like it used to be . They get orders wrong and the manager is rude . Not interested in their customers at all .

Ordered 2 milkshakes and they was both very very thin like there was no ice cream in them at all, was disappointed as they are not normally like this.

UPDATE never again !! Had EFES kebab tonight. . A different world better professional to a T. 30 to 45 mins Blaze just as bad BTW. after nearly a year ordering what used to be so nice has degenerated into awfulness. Reheated chips burnt chicken egyptian skin kebab meat ( its so old) was so good what happened. Carcroft and skellow takeaways beckon for us now. So it's an extra pound delivery at least it's quality. ASKERN GRILL AS THEY SAY YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE. You have lost never to return.

Amazing food and customer service

Good use to be really nice now it's gone done hill it's either over cooked and cold by tile you get it or it's soggy. And over charge on delivery even if it just down round then extra 50p for vat🤔

me and my dad ordered kebab from Askern grill and it was like concrete, freezing, even dog wont eat it, god knows how they are still open what a disgrace, wont be ordering again

Askern Grill... should be called Askern burnt. Just tried to eat a meal purchased from here, the chicken was burnt to a crisp impossible to eat. The chips were cold... re heated and onion rings, well they made me feel sick. Do yourself a favour if you want takeaway go elsewhere

We ordered for the first time tonight for 7 of us from a recomendation. The prices are high, the food portions small. The pitta falls apart, the chips appear to be reheated, you know when you try and warm up last nights chips, they are not nice! I am so disappointed, the worst takeaway we had in a long time. Sorry askern grill but you can do much better!

Waited 20 minutes for a small cheesy chips. The tray was closed, when handed to myself. When back at work I opened box to hardly any cheese on the chips. Went back to ask for more cheese as I feel for the over priced food anyway I should at least get what I paid for and the owner of the store was so rude and arrogant and began arguing with me and asked me not to return if I wasn't happy. Appalled by the "customer service" I have just received!!

Have only had a good experience of this place to date, sadly this has changed this evening 19/12/2020. Placed an order online at 6pm for delivery at 8pm. Waited until 8.25 and called to find out where it was. I was LIED to as they told me it had left the shop and was on its way. Waited another 30 mins, so an hour after it was due to be delivered, called again and was told that the order had been lost and hadn’t even been made. Why lie on my first call?? I then cancelled my order as I was not prepared to wait again for it to be cooked and then delivered. They then had the nerve to send me a text saying customer cancelled order, like it was my fault. Looks like the place is going downhill from reading other reviews. What a shame

We have ordered probably 5 times for Askern grill, I’ve got to say the first time was lovely.... hence the repeat custom. The second time was very poor, we complained (food was cold, chips were like leather, kebab looked liked my granny’s slippers, basically very poor food, who puts a cold can of pop in with hot food????) we got offered a free meal. 3rd time... FREE MEAL was lovely. Forth time... worse than the second! (Refer to above for details) acception didn’t complain Fith time BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT SAME AS ABOVE ... DO NOT ORDER!!!!

Sunday night made a offer told it be 45 min had to ring after 1 hour still not arrived and think it's got a bit pricey.

Had a pizza from here 28th january 2020 they brought wrong pizza when they did bring right pizza it was not even hot waste of money will not be ordering again

Best food around Askern, Staff are always nice and helpful, It's understandable if they take some time for delivery because they are always busy. Sometimes you have to wait a little for the good things to arrive lol

Their pizzas are good to excellent, the fries are okay and the kebab meats are good. There are good sides too. Soft carbonated drinks are available in cans and litre and a half bottles. There are meal deals too. The staff are friendly and try to provide fast service.

Ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza with extra pepperoni and waited 50 minutes for delivery to end up with a chicken and sweet corn pizza. When I rang them to complain they quizzed me and asked if it definitely was sweet corn and then said they’ll bring me on and hung up. The guy that delivered the pizza then asked to see the previous one, inspected it and took it with him!! No freeby for the trouble and breaking up when we all ate our food meaning one had to wait until after everyone had already eaten their food. Won’t be using these again. What are they going to do with an old, cold pizza anyway?? Joke.

I ordered a kebab wrap with salad and a cheesey chip wrap, there was more salad than kebab and the cheesey chip wrap wasnt even warm never mind hot.... the chips were basicly frozen still. Expensive on price for a kebab wrap in its own

Ordered something off the menu, didnt have in stock, requested another item same case, ordered a bbq chicken pizza to arrive home to notice all the topping had been thrown off the pizza, quality of food has dropped from previous times, would recommend Blaze where they make fresh garlic bread daily

Theres a woman answering phones and taking orders for you who is constantly rude, unhelpful and treats customers like you dont need them! 3 occassions this has happened on now, we wont be ordering again and its unlikely my friends and family will be either until things change.

chicken wrap £5.50 hardly any chicken enjoyed my salad though ..husand had lamb an chicken shish kebab wish id took a photo my god £7.50 what a rip off ....i live in askern born and bred askern grill will nrver have another penny from my purse lovely food but only enough if you eat lke a spuggy

Rubbish waited an hour for food
