Ashers in Highland

Seems like it's impossible to get a simple bacon roll in Inverness on a Saturday morning!

Great baked goods. Simple quick coffee with a smile.

Ordered our breakfast here this morning. Lady that answered the phone was fab, service in the shop great and the breakfast rolls were so tasty, and we could order cakes too!!! only downside they dont deliver ha!!! We will be back, thank you.

Lovely pastries and cakes, Asher’s has always been a favourite of mine. Staff are friendly and helpful 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This cafe has gone down hill and after ten years of using this cafe I will be finding another place to eat

I must say that I bought a Scotch Pie at Asher’s in Nairn yesterday …. And I can say it was THE worst Scotch Pie I have ever eaten ..

We came in for a breakfast and had a steak pie and sausage and bacon bap. There was so much steak in the pie and so tasty. Sausages were very tasty. Staff friendly and very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

I was given this cupcake as a gift, therefore I can't review the service or the price. This cupcake was not only sweet looking but tasted very sweet. I think it's a very cute design made out of a sugary cream and fondant. Definitely recommend their highland cow cupcakes.

Staff didn't seem to understand the idea of customer comfort with the front door permanently open letting in the freezing cold air. Why not do as others do and put up a sign saying we're open with the door closed or better still a door with a closer. Food and drink not bad but didn't hang around to eat it as I was frozen.

Always a warm welcome from the girls, rapid service at decent prices. Happy to recommend 😉

A Scottish version of Greggs, cheap, but with a little quality. Nice stop for a coffee and a cake.

Wonderful company of friendly staff. Great fresh traditional baking. Good delivery service which I used in lockdown and for Xmas and Hogmanay. Thanks Ashers.

Lovely, homely cafe. Modern, yet old fashioned with great food and staff who always make you welcome.

Consistently good coffee and food and they do the best ginger biscuits in the world.

Coffee is not fresh, really underwhelmed by the food. Also it took them unreasonably long to bring us some simple breakfasts.

Closes early. Not much variety food wise & coffee is not fresh

A bit of a cheek selling me a disgusting coffee from a machine and charging the same price as a proper coffee shop.

Nothing available, unclean tables and floor and rude staff

Staff OK, ordered all day breakfast, when it arrived minus black pudding, I pointed this out, to be told there wasn't any left, surely I should have been informed whilst ordering. The breakfast plate was the worst I have received. I've had a more appetising Scottish breakfast in Greece and Las Vegas! Many tourists arrive/depart at the station and I doubt they'll be putting rave reviews on tripadvisor, unfortunately.

At it gives me a break and strong WI-FI thanks.

As per the title , but this one has an eat in option . . Usual array of Pies and Rolls , also fresh cakes and bread.

Overpriced lentil soup and a very average sandwich so wouldn't recommend going forward other alternatives close by such as the three little bakers and Harry Gow's

Pricey, and not satisfied with their service.

Unfortunately Ashers seem to have the monopoly around this area.....why I don't know because their cakes always taste state and tired. Nothing to write home about.

Nos detuvimos camino a Thurso. La mejor tarta vegetariana que he tenido y caliente desde que estuve en Escocia por tres semanas. También pedimos que nos trajeran un bollo caliente, lo cual no fue problema. También obtuve galletas para llevar. Buen servicio una gran taza de té y absolutamente delicioso pastel. Ideal para un día frío de invierno.

vinimos aquí mientras esperábamos un entrenador a Glasgow. . La puerta estaba abierta de par en par. Preguntamos si podía cerrarse (estaba nevando afuera y con temperaturas muy bajas) Nos informaron alegremente que no podían cerrarlo ya que las alarmas de humo se dispararían.Solo tomamos el café, la comida no era muy apetecible. , las tablas tardaron mucho tiempo en despejarse

I went in Thursday morning as soon as Ashers opened and the staff were happy to welcome me to the store and have a chat. Brought my friends in a couple of hours later to buy some more butteries and had another lovely experience. AND the baked goods were delicious.

Went to have lunch food was good but the service was terrible the staff are very rude should about thinking of getting better staff with a better attitude

I like that this is one of the oldest cafes in town but it's nowhere near as bustling as it used to be. good for a nice cup of tea and cake or one of the best proper scotch pies. very basic but good.

Simply the best macaroni pie in town! Always great service :) The staff are lovely and helpful. Would recommend this Ashers to anyone who wants a nice warm lunch on the go.

Great bakers. Whether sitting in or take away highly recommend them. Love their sausage rolls. Better than a well known high Street baker...rhymes with pegs!

Excellent selection of traditional Scottish bakery products. Savouries are a cut above. The whisky cakes are worth a try and make excellent gifts.

I've been coming regularly for a while now to get Breakfast. I been served by same rude, miserable and unhappy drone of a server everyday! There is only one girl there not sure her name that is lovely and always smiling and laughing- she is great. When I'm lucky she gets to serve me and she always remember what I want etc etc - this is the kind of service I would like to get. Unfortunately I'm not so lucky and I am being serve by the 'Drone' which asked me the same question every day over and over agin ! Really ?! I decided to walk to different bakery everyday. I also find their sandwiches dry.

The pastry, both savory and sweet, are delicious with something for everyone! Grab something to go and take the short walk to the river Ness and sit on one of the many benches along the river to enjoy a treat with a view.

Service wasn't as friendly as most of the places we visited. The selection was minimal for late morning and prices were acceptable, other cafés in area that are much better.

Ashers is a city centre baker, offering an extensive range of hot and cold savouries and baked goods. The cafe at the back of the shop, which isn't especially obvious, offers the same range of food.

Extremely terrible service. Dirty tables and rude manager Donna should and will be fired.

My mom and I stopped my Asher's to by Whisky cake and the Pasties caught are eyes. I ordered the steak and mom ordered the chicken. They where the BEST savoury meat Pasties I've ever had!

Most expensive Ashers and no service. Roll with sausage - but you can't have onions or mustard? Won't be back.

Lovely hot sausage rolls. Can't beat an Ashers scotch pie too! Central location, although tucked away. Worth a visit though.

The meat pies and scones are delicious and all of the goods are locally made. Very easy to grab and go.

Ik heb hier twee keren gezeten en gegeten. Eigenlijk had ik tijdens mijn eerste bezoek zo genoten van de Meat Pie dat ik twee dagen later deze nog een keer wilde eten.

I had the Potato Pie and coffee, I think the ashers Pies are the best in Inverness, not great coffee though but service with a smile.

This bakery has an area for eating at the back. They start with breakfast which can be eaten in or on the hoof. There is a good bacon roll or 2 sausages in a roll to go or eat in. Their sandwiches are made fresh daily and can be made up if not available to your requirements in the fridge

My Mum always recommends Ashers as a place to go to for cakes, pies, Tea and Coffee. I am glad it has kept its period interior and the staff are great.

Bei unserem Besuch konnten wir kein Club Sandwich mehr bestellen (1500 h).

popped in for sandwiches to take on the train and came out with a whole lot more inc.small cakes in tins for gifts, they also do hot food that smells delicious, everthing is dispayed very well making choices more difficult-- millionaires shorbread is recommended!

Cafe, bakery and hot food take-away in one shop! I was in for a treat from the bakery, got a Highland cow biscuit, and ended up buying some for gifts too!
