Asha Brierfield in Pendle

This takeaway serves some very good Indian food and we have used it for quite some time. However It's recently been brought to our attention that their hygiene rating is now 'one' as of June 24. Wouldn't use them again.

Just don’t expect good service. Food is good. Service is appalling. Ordered many times. And each time I say “never again”. The delivery service is APPALLING! Like really bad. Add at least another hour onto what they tell you. You’ll be past it before ur arrives. This has happened too many times. I’m giving up the loyalty now !

If I could give this gaff one bad thing it’d be open a restaurant that palak dish is unreal. Absolutely quality food.

I have been a customer for the last couple of years but I recently noticed that the mild curries Korma/ Butter Chicken have become a lot more spicy ie as if someone has been heavy handed with Chili. Too much chilli leaves a bitter hot taste afterwards which is a shame because the flavour of the dishes is lost . This is why only 4 stars. The selection of curries is second to none and the pashwari nan is to die for. Less chilli and more real flavour and you ll be back with 5 starts

As always the food here is absolutely the best. Amazing flavours,always hot on arrival and all the staff are really nice and friendly. I'm surprised they don't open a restaurant!

This was recommended to us a couple of years back and I would also recommend it to anyone looking for very good consistent Indian takeaway food. Unfortunately they don't do chicken pakora anymore. The masala dishes are excellent. The lamb dishes are tender and thankfully NO gristle like a lot of establishments serve. Very polite service.

The absolute best Indian takeaway ever. The food is always absolutely delicious! Always get my order spot on, never any mistakes! Service and staff are amazing!

What can I say, fantastic food at reasonable prices. Been going here for years and they have never let me down yet. Best Indian takeaway for miles, food is tasty and well spiced. You might have a wait but it will be well worth it!

Phoned for a take out @ 6:30 told it would be 1 1/2 hours to wait for collection 2 hours for delivery - ordered anyway. Set off @ 8 got there 8:05. Paid. AFTER paying was told the meal would be another 10-15 minutes. Eventually got the meal @ 8:25 after nearly 2 hours. Food good, service not so. The fact that I was told after paying that it would be another 10-15 minutes was quite underhand. Will be a while before I go again.

We recently tried this take away for the first time after a recommendation from a friend. Absolutely fantastic. The freshness and flavours of the food very very good. Price , portion sizes, delivery simply superb. I would highly recommend Asha.

The food here is always first class, it always arrives red hot and the food quality is excellent. They are working really hard through the current covid crisis which is reflected in upto 4 hour waits sometimes, says it all really, Order, sit back and wait, you won't be disappointed.

OK this place does the best food and I mean the best food - BUT. I phoned at 7.00 p.m. and they said 1 hour 45 minutes. I said OK but can you assure me it wont be longer than that and they said yes. We rang at 8.45 and the said it was just going in a car now. We are 5 mins from the takeaway. At 9.00 we rang again and they said it will be with you in 2 or 3 mins. It arrived at 9.18. Pathetic - I have lost my appetite. Do not use for a delivery take away. I prefer honesty about delivery not being spun lies and fairy tales.

The food and customer service was excellent. Definitely recommend to every one. Quality food and good price.

Just had a collection takeaway from here tonight and it's got to be one of the best Indian takeaways I've had. The food was beautiful, balance of spice was perfect and the quality of the food was excellent. Great flavours and it was all well packaged so it was nice and warm when we got home.Not quite as good as mum's food but not far off. Definitely recommend the Biriyani and the vegetable rice was so tasty.

Ordered tandoori mixed grill which was OK except the vegetable bahji which had a disgusting pink curry sauceChicken madras the same sauceAloo gobi, nothing like it should be, you got it. The same sauceTarka Dall which was good. no sauce in this oneChicken tikka sandwich which again was fine

Eaten many Indian food locally and several county's even abroad and this place has to be the ultimate in quality and taste Never let me down

I've been using this place for 10 years, and I could not give it a higher score than 100/100. I've introduced loads of workmates to it and they all agree. My little girl judges and uses Ashas Korma as a yardstick whenever she eats Korma anywhere in the world. Its always scored against thiers, and nothing ever comes close, only thing that has ever come close is one in Vilamoura in Portugal. Their starters are fresh, taste superb and cheap. Their mains are so tasty and authentic. I've nearly had everything on the menu, but have now settled on the Lamb Madras. The nan breads are so soft hot and tasty, and the mint sauce is the best I've ever had anywhere. I have just two niggles. The mint sauce used to be free when you ordered starters, and they used to run a reward scheme with a sticker for every fiver you spent and when you filled your little card you used to get a free main course. And that's stopped. But hey! It would still not stop me from ever ordering from this fantastic takeaway.

My regular Indian takeaway. The food is amazing never faulted. Top quality indeed. You can even watch it being cooked. Staff are very pleasant ...highly recommended

I can't reccomend this place enough. Very friendly staff and perfect tasting curry every time. Great value for money as well. If you're in the area or live locally...get food here !!!!

i'd heard some very good things at work about this takeaway so i thought i'd give it a try myself. very nice indeed, i got a chicken curry while my wife got a bhuna. we got rice and 2 chappattis also and just couldnt finish it. plenty of flavour and at a reasonable price

You cannot find better Indian around in the rage from Burnley to Earby (and I’ve friend a lot!) Truly outstanding food in decent price. I have been a loyal customer for 8 years and never had a bad meal from them. Quality of the food is 10/10 and when they say it’s ready in 25 mins - it is !

We don't live locally but frequently visit family in Brierfield. We often have a take away meal from Asha's and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and is very good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Great food, price and customer service. Never go anywhere else! A must try... Our favourite is the mixed grill curry however with the curry sauce blended and the meat samosas beats any other curry house in the area!

Hemos comido comida desde aquí muchas veces, y siempre es excelente. Vivimos en Burnley, pero entregar sin ningún problema. El personal es muy servicial. Ojalá hubieran tenido un restaurante también! Tienes que pedir antes de lo que imagina, ya que siempre están ocupados.

The best Indian takeaway for miles! Open plan kitchens. Delivery available. The chefs are happy to make things that are not on the menu. What more can you want?

Beautiful food love it, we Order take away quite often from here for years, I can honestly say best take out Indian there is.. never had a dish we have not enjoyed, we have tried most starters and mains and truly enjoyed all of them, very tasty. Service great too

La cálida bienvenida y excelente comida hacen de este para llevar un destaque en el área local. Cuando entramos nos recibió una bien organizada y activa vista abierta de la cocina. El aroma de la comida se preparaba en mi opinión eran igualados por la calidad de los ingredientes. El cordero tikka entrante era suave y jugoso, con la esposa de elegir langostinos tikka, que decía que eran suculentos. Luego tuvimos un plato Tikka masala, nuevo cocinado a la perfección junto con el resto de guarniciones y pan hicieron que nuestra experiencia gastronómica de primera clase superior. Siuated just by the traffic lights in brierfield. Food is prepared ascyou watch. Living nearby we always tàke our order and wait. Why? It gets extremely busy on friday and saturday.

i have eaten curries from around the world and when i questioned these regarding the amount off gee were in my curry the replie was its meana be like that init lol.No its not pleb of the year money back tomorrow which i got and they got there chip pan back.

Always good food from here. Only place I order an Indian from in the area. The garlic butter chicken tikka is amazing and I live the murgi masala!

Having just recently received a flyer-menu from the Asha through the letter box, & rather than simply immediately putting it in the recycling bin, as you do, I actually examined it & was impressed & intrigued by the professional, perfectly spelt descriptions of some unusual Indian dishes & the overall quality of the flyer, so today decided to blow my pension on a big takeaway for the wife & I purely on the quality of the flyer, so your marketing people scored there boys!I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a set of dishes (at 3pm) for 5 pm delivery (I took note of other reviewers mentioning slow delivery so took precautions) & it was delivered precisely on time, the man taking the order was very polite & efficient, as was the delivery man, & my wife was very impressed that I'd laid out a comprehensive meal on her return from work without messing up the kitchen. The quality & presentation of the food in the containers was first class (I'll probably regret ordering the Volcano Lamb tomorrow though, but it was outstanding tonight), my wife especially liked the prawn puri and the little vegetable samosas & everything else was perfect, from the spicy rice to the raita & naan, so these guys really know how to cook serious food & present & deliver it nicely in a market (like Pendle) which has hundreds of mediocre takeaways/restaurants. Full marks to the Asha Brierfield: an outstanding food experience & there's enough left over for tomorrow's dinner, as the portions are very generous. Highly recommended. And hey, if you read my other reviews, I don't give praise easily unless I really mean it, so kudos to the guys at Asha. The best Asian/Indian takeaway in Pendle, so thanks boys; we really enjoyed it.

Ive ordered from this place for a while now and on many occasions its taken over 2 hours to get our food delievered. And on one occasion in the past I remeber being spoken to very rudely but decided to ignore it that one time.HOWEVER!!!! Today was shocking. I was stood next too my partner as they ordered our meal, they asked for the mixed meat grill and stated "the one with lamb and chicken" when the food arrived they had made the wrong one. Just chicken. So i connacted the takeaway to inform them of the mistake.I was quickly told i was wrong, he took the order. I explained i had over herd the conversation so i know this not to be true. He then started to call me a lier.....He told me he was the owner.....Ive never ever been so shocked and angry at how he spoke to me. im sorry but if i was the owner i would be speaking to my customers that way. I have many times recommended this place but will never be doing again and ill be informing family and friends to never order from this place again.Id dread to think what he mite have done to the food had they made the correct order. I thought good customer service the customer is always right? I wasnt being rude, i was just asking for the correct meal we had ordered. I mean what do it cost for you to make some extra bits that wer missing? never been so disappointed!funnily enough have just seen other reviews from other people saying how this place doesnt give a damn about their customer. not suprised!

Terrible customer service. Sent the wrong order and when phoned to query it, was told I was lieing! The man I spoke to has a serious attitude problem. Also, if you fancy a 3 hour wait on delivery and a million lies in between, then order here. Othwerwise, there are lots of other lovely Indian places in and around Burnley/Nelson/brierfield - try elsewhere.

Been going here for many years now. Always on the ball. Try the specials. Murghi masala, lamb palak and the mixed grill are our favourites.

Asha is one of the best takeaways for miles and have never failed to produce delicious food. I would say that the heat of their curries are slightly spicier than others in the area but that is not a problem for us. Its just something to be aware of if you can just about hack a medium. The beautiful food combined with reward stickers to collect mean that it is the obvious choice time and time again!

The food was excellent hot and tasty. Will definitely be calling here again. Ordered by phone and was told half hour for us to pick up, food was ready when we arrived.

We order all the time from the Asha Brierfield. Food is excellent and plentiful. We've ordered from other Indian takeaways but none can compare with the Asha. Menu is excellent, lots of variety. We order then pick up, usually ready within half an hour. You have quite a wait if they deliver because it's that popular. ( is worth the wait though)Would Highly recommend it to everyone.

First of all, the food is great. Secondly you can the chefs prepare your meal and thirdly the staff behind the counter are first class.

I love the food from the Asha! I've ordered from here for years and it's my first choice due to the quality of the food. If you order late, be prepared to wait for delivery ... but it's worth it! My tip is to order early if you want your food delivered by a certain time. We ordered an Asha takeaway on Christmas Eve and had plenty left over for Christmas Dinner which saved me from cooking! And had another one for my birthday. Can't speak highly enough about the place.

Always good food, delivery time over the weekends can be a bit long, but they always tell you about it when you place the order. Great service and they also have a reward scheme with stickers!!!

Ordered from here many times before over the last few years,food always of good quality and delivered in a timely matter ,hot and tasty,unfortunately the last order will be our last.We ordered at 8.00pm and were told we would have a 1hr 20min wait,A long time for a delivery i know but we decided to go with it and wait,and wait,and wait............................10pm rolled on and still no sign so we decided to cancel as we had gone past the hungry stage,when we called to cancel he still hadnt set off with it! They operate a loyality scheme where you get asha reward stickers everytime you order and when you have a full card which probably costs about £200 to fill you get one free curry.We had a full card on the night in question now whether this is why Asha failed to deliver on time i dont know but they have lost us as customers and we will seek out another outlet for our Saturday night treat.
