Asda Supercentre Cafe in Stockton-on-Tees

Went to order food and the lad looked over at his colleague and rolled his eyes, shocking customer service skills, after doing our order he sighed he was so rude. Called Bailey. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

massively overpriced on basics compared to other local supermarkets,no carrier bags,machines always break

I visited Asda Portrack lane, Stockton on Tees today. I ordered regular coke and the wife had coffee. The mix from the coke machine tasted very weak so I mentioned it to one of the staff. Shortly after, who I presume was the manager came and checked the machine. Without even looking in my direction she walked away almost shouting "there's nothing wrong with it" I found this customer service absolutely disgraceful and I feel she needs training in how to deal with customers. As a result of this I will not set another foot in that store. ASDA senior management please address this or you might loose more customers.

Visited for a breakfast .....ALL fresh apparently from the many signs in the store .....when in fact the mushrooms were out of a tin were cold sausage tasted of nothing and bacon was vile and the beans had been sat that long they had added tomatoe sauce to them will never return

it is sad the food was ok and nice to visit before shopping, the food is limited and you can no longer view what you are getting as now blocked from view, staff are nice and as not many now going, it was very tidy, I will go again for a drink and a sit down, could be way better

Supermarket cafes provide cheap food in an average environment. This fits the bill, under C19 I suspect a lot of tables had been removed and so it felt safe. Does the job and very cheap.

absolutley terrible,came for breakfast,no fried bread,no bacon,no offer of alternative eggs (poached or scrambled)even though its on the menu,sausages were awful,and hash browns looked burned,safe to say we will never eat here again

Seems a bit untidy now like no one cares. food average and service is ok but for me slow to tidy up tables and trolleys dumped near toilets also cutlery stand and tea/coffee machines messy .maybe short on staff but not as welcoming as before.

Total letdown went at 9.30am for a breakfast only to be told no bacon I mean how can you not have bacon in a superstore never going back again

Went for some lunch today and ordered a panini, when it came it was burnt dry and tasteless, will not be returning :(

the food is poor and now over priced for what you get, this fish and chips were disgusting, they have stopped doing the pie which was amazing, and they do not offer refills on cold drinks, one member of staff still can not work the till, if she is on I just leave and go down stairs get a drink and sandwich and eat in the car. the portions appear smaller too. it is so sad but I will not be returning

Bought jacket potato which couldn't cut into with a knife the skin was that tough, potato was small, nearly cold, a bit of tuna and dry cheese on top, also round small quiche which was all pastry, small portion of chips, 2 drinks£13. never again

Basic cafe upstairs in Asda superstore, accessed my escalator or lift. Food itself is good and literally cheap as chips. If you buy a medium hot drink you can get cake for £1 which is nice. Massive pizza eat in or take away just £6 or £1.50 for a slice. Friendly service but tables needed clearing.

I hardly expected 5 star food or anything from a supermarket cafe, but I was still really disappointed. I eat frozen food now and again and somehow this was worse than that? Had a burger, no filling offered other than cheese (no salad, sauce etc) which would be fine but the burger itself was probably the worst tasting burger I've ever had. Chips were pretty standard for this sort of cafe, bland and only fixable with a loooooot of salt. Might pop in if I ever need to for a sit in with a drink, it's a fine place to look at and the staff were helpful and nice, but definitely no hot food here again.

Not really Asda anymore but a outside catering Company It was never meant to be a restaurant but my what giant step backward Dire in every aspect from the decor and seating to the food

Really slow service, a big queue, lots of people from work with short time to get in and out. I waited for a half hour then got to spend what left I had with my young family before going back to work. The guy behind queued the same, for a takeout pizza, only to be told they didn't have any cooked. Surely there is a better way to ask people what they want before they queue all this time? Appalling really and easily sorted.

Ordered a Tuna & Cheese Panini and you can see how it arrived! Even the coffee machine was only serving black coffee.

Not very much choice. Food looked dire, grey almost. Won't go again. Staff were quite rude, as it was near the end of their shift.

Travelator directly into the cafe, no queue but only one person working, choice of white or brown toast, warm breakfast with tea and orange juice at a budget price. Shouldn’t really complain but.."....."

we waited nearly ten minuites to be surved and there were only six tables so not exactly busy, we were told they were out of ommelle which i find halarious that a supermarker cafe ran out of eggs. we were then served one hot meal but had to wait ages for the other not exactly the plan when you come to eat together. then went to make my own self sevice tea only to fine nothing to stir it or take my tea bag out with by time i got a spoon my tea was well over brewed for my taste.

Just your average greasy spoon as I said in my last review. Even though the name has changed, the food certainly has not! Frozen scampi from the shop freezers. Frozen chips from the store freezers.

It took 20 mins to be served, people behind us in the queue gave up and left. When we did finally get our food and pay, there wasn’t any cutlery out so we needed to wait again. The chips weren’t cooked and were hard in the middle.

A delayed meeting meant finding a meal locally. Breakfast time so an all day meal was chosen. The quantity was good,the food was freshly cooked,the room was very clean,the cook,a man, was very friendly. Know that Compass run this cafe for Asda and,in my mind, are doing a decent job.

Stopped here for a bite to eat as I wasn’t feeling too well and needed some food. Service was slow, and there was only two people in front of me. Staff miserable and did not want to be there. I ordered a toastie and chips which took over 15 minutes and my partner had already finished his food to be greeted with just a toastie and nothing else, I told the lady that I ordered chips she replied with ‘well they aren’t there’ I further had to say well I paid for them and it took her another two minutes for her to get my chips for her to come out and say she hasn’t got you down for chips so I had to get my receipt out to prove I had paid for some measly chips.

Ok, its cheap but Ill never understand how its deemed acceptably poor food just because its a low price. I wouldn't feed my worst enemy the tripe they dish up here. sloooow service, disinterested staff, not quite as bad as the two miserable rude staff that serve the lottery , cigarette counter. clean your cutlery too. should be getting paid as a pot wash the amount of hours I've spend scrubbing the filthy knives and forks. ill never spend another dime in this joint again.

Su típica cafetería supermercado. Grande y bonito (para aquellos con tazas pequeñas manos), zona de estar desordenado, sucio cubiertos. Puede haber sido una carretera - cafe lateral. La comida no está mal si no te importa esperar para un sándwich climatizada. En general, simplemente su cuchara grasienta local!

Pedí un desayuno durante todo el día, como anuncian. cartón salchichas x2, tocino frito huevos grasos x2 bien, bien, patatas fritas con frijoles un desayuno? Ella me dijo que era un brunch. anunciaba como desayuno durante todo el día. rebanada de pan tostado, no lo dejé todo. era repugnante, no volveremos

Llevé a mi hijo de 6 años para la cena. No hay mucha variedad, para ser honesto. En cuanto a bollo y tarta especialmente. Yo tenía una envoltura de mermelada y queso tostado con patatas fritas y una bebida por 4 libras. 50. No es un mal precio, pero cuando las patatas fritas llegamos estaban quemados, se notaba que había sido hecho una vez derecha, luego obviamente puesto en el pelo a ellos. Se tomaron el tiempo suficiente para servirnos como es, así que realmente no podía ser molestado a quejarse y esperar más. Había dos miembros del personal charlando como yo estaba esperando para pagar. Los cubiertos era grasiento y había unos 4 de todo a la izquierda. Sin condimentos como salsa de tomate. No regresaré. Quien estaba sirviendo parecía que no podía esperar a terminar. Fue como hablarle de los dientes.

Llama aquí sólo por conveniencia, la cola era de una milla de largo, mesas sucias, personal acosadas. Yo solo queria 2 paninis pero iban a tardar 40 minutos! ! Sin embargo, podrían hacer una sandwichera antes - no estoy seguro de cómo es que funciona, sin duda no es la misma máquina?

Comí aquí cada tan a menudo la comida no está mal, no es siempre tan caliente como me gustaría que fuera. El personal es educado, amable y hablador. Es bueno para cualquiera de comer con un presupuesto limitado, el menú de niños/selección de comida es muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Dejó aquí tratando de llegar a la costa en Teesside Park y encontramos la cola en la puerta! ! Té Earl Grey no era la mejor, pero con leche de mi mujer estaba bien y por lo que pagamos, realmente no debería quejarme. Volver arriba cuando otros decente en lugares Parque teesside están ocupados, pero no el sitio al que ir!

Vine aquí de nuevo después de una tienda en serio alrededor Portrack Lane. No flash pero un servicio decente y buena relación calidad-precio- la comida no era tan buena como en otros lugares, pero como he dicho, una buena relación calidad-precio.

La comida aquí era terrible! No hay menú completo. Fue la hora del almuerzo, así que acepté, pero la comida era escondido detrás de pantallas negras en caja que para ser honestos, debe haber tomado esto como una advertencia, pero realmente no creo. Cuando nos sentamos a comer era difícil encontrar cubiertos limpios no haya contagiado, sin embargo, cuando nos sentamos a que noté un suplente para servilletas, etc. punto

Came into Asda cafe for lunch with friends and ordered our food which was quite poor chips were still white but lasagne was burnt and then I got down to the till and got served by carol who was quite poor on the till took her 10 minutes to but order through which made other customers complain behind us then I noticed Helen was on the till and her attitude is disgusting for a manager to speak to work colleagues and customers and the best I heard another colleague goes by the name Steph who was speaking to someone about what she gets up to in her spare time which was quite disgusting to speak of stuff like that in her work place where customers with kids can here which there the reasons I wont be returning highly disappointed

Called in for tea and cake after doing our shopping..what a disappointment. After a lengthy wait in the queue you then have to go to the back of the cafe to make your own drinks, seems quite disorganised. Tables weren't clean, cakes didn't taste nice. Staff were pleasant despite the chaos.

this place is not what it used to be, the quality of the food has gone seriously down hill, what a shame, the staff and the service is still good.now you can not see the food on the hot plate it seams they can leave it out longer and use cheaper food, the last twice I have been the food looked poor and was not nice, chicken korma was dry and small potion, nest time I had stake pie very poor quality chips were ok.last week I have the toasted tea loffe which is very nice but now they stricktley enforce the now refills on soft drinks its very poor value, from now on will use the greggs behind B&Qwhy have they ruined one of the best cafes in town?

Dried up breakfast leftovers with a few pre cooked chips and stale bread is the brunch, half the menu wasn't available (run out). Maybe they should get new stock from a supermarket !!!!Filthy knives and forks.

It's ok for a budget low cost cafe. Tables are clean, staff do look to be a bit rushed. Food and drinks where fine.

Cheap and cheerful, great choice of food at all times of the day and easy to drop in while shopping. Wobbly tables, which drive me insane but part of the cafe culture I think!!

Nothing special, meals were ok, staff friendly and helpful. Budget prices. There was a reasonable selection of food.

£5.20 for a omelette with 2 slice of toast and coffee. When I go to morrisons the omelettes are nice so when I seem the menu in asda I thought I'll try oneWell it was disgusting I eat the beans and toast and walked out Hopefully never to return.Meals in tesco and morrisons are ok for quick bite before shopping but asda is by far the worst out of the 3

Good prices for a pleasant snack, tea and scone, after shopping. Also pleasant views of snow topped hills.
