A young female employee on the ready meal Isle really having a rant about management whilst I was shopping tonight. Very unprofessional. Reported it to what looked like two managers. Not sure if anything was done. Terrible behavior!

On my recent shopping trip to Asda Middleton in Leeds on December 3, 2024, at 11:20 AM, I noticed an issue with the pricing labels for more expensive products, such as Leap smoked salmon. The price labels for these items were covered with other materials, making it difficult to see the correct prices. Instead, the labels for cheaper products were placed underneath the more expensive ones, which was misleading. Be careful when you shop at Asda Middleton in Leeds! When I raised this concern, I received an insulting response from one of the Asda employees (a male staff member), which made my experience unpleasant. Asda, I believe you have the resources to ensure that your staff are properly trained to display price labels correctly and to provide better customer service.

Could be better. The directions off the big roundabout for the entrance is non-existent, we first entered the neighbouring Aldi complex. We found our way in and had a breakfast at the cafe, as a stop on our journey. The food was pretty good, but the cafe seating area is a bit sterile, staff service was OK. Both could be improved. Once in the cafe area, there are no signs for the toilets....we exited, walked into the store area, then turned around when we saw the toilets sign so back to the cafe. Basic things to get right really.

This cafe never has ingredients to make pizzas,I've been three times and they've had no boxes ,no dough, this time U could only have pepperoni, Beeston is far cleaner, better service and accommodate the customers

Why open a store in an area where you think everybody is a thief.

Expensive lots of items rounded up to nearest £1. Go to Aldi next door

Digusting place is the cafe .. one never know a single handed women to serve queues and serve the food in a asda cafe before .. very mucky needs a major clean.. cutlery all mucky and water marked looks awful no little spoons for hot drinks at all.. coffee is terrible like water no butter on breadcakes or given the choice. Cups coffee stains on them menu not in site to be honest it's in need of management to get this mucky place cleaned and sort everything out

Come here all the time, but noticed they had only a 1 way in and 1 way out entrance and exit now. Which caused some sort of stress because if your visiting the cafe, you have to walk through the stores entrance walk all the way through the self services etc which is just too much added extra. There should be another door entrance to the cafe if this is the case. Never any fries even though there is an option for chips or fries. So that's always a down side of this. There is never any delivery of them ever time we come here. So I'm not sure on what is going on with their deliveries as its happend on alot of occasions.

Was looking forward to a Coffee on the Morning of Thurs 22nd of August. I was out of luck, as the Cafe was closed between approximately 11AM and 12 noon. No explanation given. Way into Cafe was obstructed by chairs & a standee. Poor, amateurish way to operate a business.

Must be the worst Asda in the region. Constant lack of stock, management don't bother training their staff on their own systems. Once had to wait 20 min to get my shopping verified after using their scan & go app. Go to Beeston instead.

Decent sized Asda so plenty of variety and choice and the food always looks fresh and well presented

The Bread I get never there as they don't get many loafs of the type of bread I like.

This is a poor excuse of a supermarket. The amount of times I've been there and shelves/ freezers have been empty of stock and items have gone past there sell by date! I don't know how they manage to stay open? It's also quite a dirty store.

Having used this ASDA for several times a week I've been able to assess the standards and I can give the floor staff a pat on the back for their attention to customer needs however management is lacking a willingness to sort out ongoing problems and the blame lies with head office's lack of attention to the problems arising on a regular basis hope something will be resolved quickly as the company in most respects is probably the best in the country

It needs to get more stock and not have empty shelves the better store behind when Aldi opens I hope they end up closing this place down coz if I could it would have zero stars and that pushing it nothing on the shelves and no staff in site useless waste of space

Easy to park, clean and tidy, staff very friendly,helpful, efficient.

Is there anyone in this supermarket who's got any idea about customer service???? I go there occasionally, but every time I do I bump into miserable "asda colleague-here to help". At customer service desk I have been informed that I won't be served because the lady there "didn't have a time " she was closing till apparently. If the shop closes 5pm the tills should be closed at 5 not 4.30 in my opinion ,so I went to self service area only to witness anger outburst of another elderly " Asda colleague " Seriously you need to work on your staff in this branch Asda

Visited the store on 20th May 2024. Half the shelves were empty, hardly any fruit veg & meat! No sandwich meat either. Stock levels were really low! Hardly any older boys clothing. Definitely not a superstore.

I don’t know who was today at 19.05.2024 closing but o was inside buying milk for my daughter and he closed the tills in front of me , very rude person I had just a milk for my daughter and this is the worst thing to do because my daughter was crying for the milk and he didn’t care this is not a correct employee or manager I won’t stop in bad reviews for him

This ASDA is a joke. Always empty at all times and when its delivery day they dump all stock on aisles. They cant be ordering enough because a lot of products are missing like dog food, fruit/veg, ice cream/lollies etc. Also the floor is always very filthy and sticky.

Customer service is shocking. Was waiting for someone to fix an issue on self checkout. After waiting 4/5 mins, approached a woman who was right next to us with a "happy to help" jacket on, who told us it's not her issue and to wait for another staff member. Clearly not happy to help. Next minute she's helping another customer opposite. Finally helped once I got her name - Sina Took her only 4 seconds to scan her badge. What a joke 🙄

The staff members are amazing,The cafe is amazing,Price match and low prices!

Go to this store regularly but one member of the staff team I find so ignorant and had 2 unpleasant experiences with this woman. Have conplained to manager waiting for a response as yet. If these staff can't be pleasant then call it a day and do the customers a favor instead of barking at people when you go in the store

Wondering if they even have management at this store because it’s an absolute state. Shocking how most of the time there’s no service staff or it’s just one singular person on self-scans and no tills. All the staff seem to only be on shelves, why are they prioritising stock appearance and not customer service??? The store is filthy half the time and there’s no security most days so to compensate there’s now 3 tags on bottles so checking out takes even longer. The baskets are a joke, all tagged now and are a safety hazard when stacked.

Never have much stock in and expensive

Wasted one hour waiting for collection. hanged up on me before I could ask how long it will take. In the end I just had to leave without my groceries.

Self service checkouts don't work and there's barely anyone there to help.

No semi skimmed milk AGAIN! (Only single pints, useless for a family). Only a couple of self-service tills accepting cash AGAIN. Prices are shocking and the new security entrance means you often have to queue to get out! Convenience is it's only plus point, but it hopefully won't be long until the store on the new retail park opens 🤞

from today onwards asda middleton leeds closes at 9.45 pm. No customers alowed in after 9.45 pm. Glass doors do not open automatically after 9.45 pm. If you try to enter the shop after 9.45 pm, the man at the entrance will tell you off and treat you and give you a look as if you are a shoplifter ... Good luck middleton customers.. Pathetic....

Asda Middleton is quite a large supermarket, most of the staff I've had to interact with have been polite and professional, a couple not so but everyone can have an off day. They've just had to install some gates at the entrance to deter shoplifters and rightly so. I think my only critique of this is that now the entrance is too congested (especially when they put end of line sales out in the foyer too) Now the security is increased at the entrance, can it not now be made a one door entrance and the other exit only?(go back to the lockdown way...just on that)

We spend about £70-£90 a week on our weekly shop. Just been treated like dirt by one of the cashiers on the tills - nearest the cafe - simply for taking too long to pack. She said if wanted to do it in my own time I should use self service - I went to the till with a person because I was not with my partner and didn’t have enough pairs of hands to do it all myself. Horrible way to treat someone, and a wrong and rude response for me asking for more time to pack my things. Given that I was struggling, perhaps she could have helped - that’s what I used to do when I worked the tills. No common sense or common decency. We will not be doing our weekly shop there ever again.

What an absolutely dreadful cafe, my sister & I had lunch here what a huge mistake and never again. I took my coffee back and said to the assistant that it was very weak with just the taste of milk, her reply was I need to pay for extra shots. Our food was cold and quite frankly appalling. The service was disgusting, tables not cleared and food all over the floor. I did complain to a member of staff who said she would go & check it out. I generally do my shopping at ASDA Wakefield without any issues, and thankfully they have a COSTA cafe 100% better. I will never go to the Middleton shop again.

Did our usual shop this morning and all went OK,until we went to fill up with unleaded petrol advertised at £147.9 Lt on the post but on the pump price it actually was £149.9 Lt, A bit of false advertising or a administration mistake ??

Petrol is 2p dearer on the pump than is advertised on the sign at Middleton asda

The cafe staff are dreadful here. Staff were fixing their hair and redoing their bobbles, shaking it loose and running their fingers through, so no hair nets. Also whipping their noses on back if their hands. Staff are poor with service giving meals out that were same to people that ordered after ours were ordered and paid for. If you ask where your order is you get attitude. All in all I won't be going back. By the way I've never had any problems with the staff inside the main store.

This store has really gone down hill in recent months. I only shop here now if I really have to, and I try keep my shopping to the very minimum. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. I never thought I'd say this (as i used to really dislike Morrisons) but Morrisons store experience and food quality exceeds Asda. This is now my go to shop, even though it's further away. The Self checkout at Asda is a joke, you now have to locate a staff member to buy a carrier bag, and they scan it for you. The staff congregate at one end together chatting amongst themselves and pretend they haven't seen you. Thankfully the basket situation is now sorted, but this took weeks to rectify. God knows why it took weeks to sort. Definitely lost custom there.

Easy parking. Never had to queue here. Everything you need under one roof.

Hi, I'm disappointed to write this review about Asda. Once again, I am frustrated by the fact that the prices on the shelves differ from the ones at the checkout. Additionally, products with locked prices are still increasing.

This is the only Asda you have to physically hunt down a basket every time. I just walked out on this occasion. Also, you have a security guard, so shouldn’t be my problem people are bucking the baskets

I would give zero stars if i could. this place is getting worse and worse. every time i've been in for the past 2-3weeks there's been no baskets and no carrier bags. Those are 2 very basic supermarket things. By not having baskets you are effectively losing money as people just grab a few bits and leave or just leave straight away. Although I have been a customer for 6 or 7 years, I will be shopping at Aldi or Morrisons in future.

Has pretty much anything you need/want for household . Staff very friendly too

Poor stock levels. No bags, ridiculous!

My local asda, awful place to shop. No carrier bags avaliable at all the last 2 days and happens quite often. Bought a vimto refill and have successfully refilled it twice in the last year as it either out of service or nothing comes out the pumps. The refill section is either empty from product or the weight machine isn't working. They haven't had the asda value price white chocolate in stock for months now and that's been a craving of mine for ages now so had to opt for less satisfying and more expensive chocolate. The security guards are either over the top or don't care. Was stopped at the door when the alarm didn't go off because I looked at a nasal inhaler and put it back because the box was empty and the price was stupidly high for what it was, they showed me the empty box which they had gone and collected off the shelf while I Continued to shop and made me empty my pockets out and show receipts for what I had got in my bags while checking my toddlers pram. All while people were walking out and the alarms going off but not even bothered to check them whatsoever. If I could drive I would go else where but I don't drive and this unfortunately is the closest supermarket to me.

Went in to buy a take away lunch. Compared with other supermarkets the choice was extremely limited.

Lots of products out of stock. Only ever 2 tills on so terrible ques. Would never drop here if my mother in law didn't want to use it. Although the 2 girls on the tills are lovely

Service in the cafe is absolutely shocking.

I came to this ASDA to see the refillable station and decide if I wanted to shop here more often. I found the refillable station way too small and limited in products, they don't even have beans, chickpeas or cous cous! They have a refillable for shampoo, conditioner and washing up liquid, and then a few cereals, many types of rice and pasta. I like the direction they are taking with this, but it is very far from enough. I gave this supermarket 3 stars because I found that it had more vegetarian and vegan products that are not always available in other big supermarkets, like firm tofu or soya chunks.

Decent size store for a out of town, local supermarket 🛒, has the George clothing section, home ware, electrical, seasonal sections and has a really nice cafe there

Possibly the worst supermarket in Leeds, always items out of stock meaning we have to buy higher priced alternatives. Use by dates giving you only 1-2 days of freshness. Staff strewn across the aisle with cages and trolleys restocking shelves but don’t have any regard for customers and don’t help to much degree when asked. You’re better off at Aldi down the road which although doesn’t always have everything it has the essentials and at better prices with better use by dates. Today there is no Asda Mayo, no essentials Beef, no Basa of any sort! Flavoured cold chicken has a date of TOMORROW! And at £2.80 per pack it’s simply not good enough. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down and you can’t have both!

Wow I’ve always shopped at Asda because of the fantastic staff always happy to help but today I had a checkout person make me feel really rubbish I’m really upset .

Visited the cafe on a break from work to wish I’d rather saved my money and starved. Items missing and what I did receive were cold. When complained and then received the missing items, they were over cooked and rock solid.

I'm always really happy with asda. I'm local to this asda and go in several times a day. All the staff are super friendly and happy to help. If you don't know where something is ask and they'll try there best to show you. I'm especially pleased this summer with the Asda's cafe. the food isn't Super fantastic compared to a propper takeaway place but for the prices you couldn't beat it. I really like going into the cafe and seeing one of the male staff. He is always there and He is always chatty and super friendly. Well done!

Normal Asda, however it has a good zero waste section and recycling section.

Doors open and you can load your trolley but every till is closed. Hundreds of people queuing to pay. I walked out and left my full trolley in the store. It was like being in the twilight zone.

Travelled a very long way to use the refillable station and was certainly not disappointed with it. Charlie was wonderful explaining how it all works and she was really helpful when the shower gel station wouldn't dispense a bottle. The cafe was nice too. Got food for myself and my daughter. Only downside is the chips could have been cooked through a bit better and the bread needed to be buttered for the sandwich. However £5.35 for a ham and cheese toastie, chips, a drink and a kids pick and mix meal which includes a sandwich, a drink, a piece of fruit, a yogurt and a treat, there isn’t much I can complain about. Really hoping the sustainable stores take off, can't wait for one in Ellesmere Port 🙏

Food in the cafe isn't very nice.

Shop here only if I really have to. Huge queues, only one real till open in rush hours, discounts not applied at the checkout.

It seems its a new built store. Clean and tidy. It has very nice cafee and restaurant inside.

The worst Asda I have ever used. Items with offers don’t have the discount applied at the till. Items in wrong isles. Staff generally unhelpful I even had an employee swear at me after I had waited 30mins to get a receipt for my fuel. I will be avoiding this store in future.

You get most things here but sometimes it is very crowded.

Only 3 real tills in a massive store then a ton of self serve that bleep constantly and leave you stood waiting for a member of staff that looked stressed out as every one was bleeping and only her to be seen! Doing a big shop on self checkout never again will avoid this store like plauge

Cafe has gone down hill. It's great early in the day but the afternoon staff lately just use excuses instead of heating your beans or for the rubber chipps today that o was told no one else compkained but I could see the plates of food and also half the menu was missing cos no deliveries yet they are joined to asda which is full of the food we want. They said they had no past in the cafe. Tues afternoon like so ye they need to improve relations between shop and cafe if they can't get some pasta off the shop floor. Or take it off menu. You could just do your job and make some

A note to recognise the effort of the checkout assistant Chris who is always very cheerful, greets everyone and makes everyone feel welcomed in Asda Middleton.

Just been to the cafe ordered all day brunch when it turned up both eggs was hard meal was cold, aso ordered vegetable pizza with chips i went to see how much longer we had to wait only to get shouted at I'M DOING IT NOW i said well I have finished mine and we are still waiting for my granddaughters

My daughter purchased a TV here and when it developed a fault she was told if she had the receipt she could have a refund. She took the TV back the next day and the refund was refused. This is blatantly different to what their website states about refunds. I have now emailed their CEO concerning this matter.

We went there last Thursday at around 1 pm , We decided to have a meal there in the cafe so after looking at the menu we settled for the all day brunch , alas it was not to be, they had no bacon and no sausage. Never mind we thought we will have the fish and chips, alas again this was not to be they had no fish. I know its stating the obvious but the cafe is in a huge supermarket, a lack of bacon and sausage should not have been a problem. Anyway with the options getting less and less (having set our hearts on eating out) we decided to take a run down to Morrisons at Hunslet where we had the all day breakfast which was on offer at half price.

No one picking click & collect phone up again, waiting ages to get shopping. When shopping finally arrives sub's no good and burnt breadcakes
