I had 2 dishes, both were bland with little flavour. I’ve never had such a poor Pad Thai. Maybe I made poor selections, but I usually pick the same dishes. For me one to avoid in the future. In fairness other diners seemed to be enjoying their food,

Visited on the opening Tuesday night and found it very quiet but the attention,service and quality of food was excellent. Portions were big (one prawn crackers between two is ample). Prices on drinks and food are reasonable compared to places in Keswick. We will definitely revisit.

We had an amazing meal at the beginning of January. I ordered from the early bird set menu (2 courses for £15) and my friend ordered from the main. I am Vegetarian and there was plenty of choice. The service was 10/10. So friendly, efficient and happy. It was also such good value for money. We will definitely be returning again

Called in for dinner on Friday night. Didn't need a reservation & got a table for two no problem. Staff were attentive & friendly. Prices very reasonable & food was excellent. 2 mains, 2 sides & 4 drinks for just over £50. Loads of vegetarian options. Would recommend!

went on boxing day with my wife ,daughter, son in law,and3 year old grandson,the food was plentiful and delicious and hot a rarity I find these days. The staff were excellent ,very attentive nothing was too much troubleand the childrens menu was varied and reasonably priced not like most establishments it was a joy from start to finish and lager was nt half bad

We had a great meal here on a wet Friday night. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the food was amazing, particularly the sea bass. Portions are generous, and the spices used are just right. Would go again.

Was really looking forward to visiting restaurant. On arrival got a cold welcome and restaurant had no atmosphere. We ordered starters prawn crackers ( which wernt fresh and were stale) chicken spring rolls ( which were again not made fresh, chewy and lacked filling and flavor) garlic spare ribs( which were again not made fresh. Ribs were dry, hard and just fatty not a lot of meat and no flavour) For mains we had a curry and pad thia both with chicken. Curry and pad thai were tasty but the chicken had obviously been boiled and tasted odd. Very disappointing and for nearly £70 wont be returning

We haven't been to many Thai restaurants but this one was out favourite, was sooooooo nice. We'd quite happily travel back to Keswick just to have dinner here again.

We ate here on sat 29/09/24. We hadn’t booked and had struggled to find somewhere to seat us in Keswick. We asked for a table of five and the managed to get us in, very lad as both starters and mains were delicious. Reasonable price for 5 dining and having a couple of beers each too. We will return.

I've been out for my dinner tonight at Asaya thai, make me feeling like eating food in Thailand. Good food and friendly staff. Love to come back again next visit.

We got there before the rush and were treated like royalty. This was the best Thai food we have ever eaten. The servers were fast and attentive. Ambience and decor seemed like Thailand.

I don't like leaving poor reviews, but my wife and I were really disappointed with our meal. For the starter, we shared the spring rolls. We both found them to be very doughy and not crispy at all. To follow we had a pork red curry, a sweet and sour chicken, and a beef Pad Thai. With these we had saffron rice and egg fried rice. The red curry tasted mainly of fish sauce, was very thin and had little or no heat. The sweet and sour chicken was better , but the chicken texture was no different to the pork in the previous dish. The beef Pad Thai was the better dish of the three, but even here some of the noodles were like wood . The service was good .

Very friendly staff, there was three of us their starters was good. I had chicken satay it was ok but the satay sauce was a bit thin and not much flavour. I had Green Thai chicken curry for mains with jasmine rice and this was excellent the best I’ve had in a long time. All of us enjoyed our mains. We have been before a few years ago and it was good then and still is, we will be back soon

Sad to say the food was mediocre and for this price I would not go back there. Corn fritters didn’t have any taste and the gyoza was overcooked. The curry was fine but not as flavourful as I’ve had before.

Soggy Stale prawn crackers but otherwise food good. Arrived at 7:45 and didn’t receive our mains for TWO HOURS! Constantly having to get waitresses attention to order another drink. When we went to complain the lady was very rude and started complaining about us to her colleagues in thai. When we tried to pay they said a card machine wasn’t available waited another ten minutes said we wanted to go could we pay please and they said no! A lady from the kitchen explained they are understaffed but if you can’t fulfil the service don’t take the booking.

Genuinely best Thai I've had I England. Best service, catering to all dietary needs. Super friendly and the food was delicious and fresh. Christine, our waitress, was fantastic 😍

What a great find! We ordered several dishes for sharing, and one dish after the other was more delicious than the next. Superb flavours, quick service. We love Thai food, and this didn't disappoint. The dumplings were the best. We also can recommend the Tempura Prawns, oyster sauce beef, cashew nut chicken, spare ribs. Lovely staff, well priced, pleasant atmosphere.

What a great find this restaurant was whilst visiting the lakes. Will certainly be back. Lovely food. Reasonably priced.

Had a lovely meal here with my friends. The service was exemplary and the food was really good for the price. The restaurant was really clean and there was a really good ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Asaya Thai restaurant and I would recommend it to both locals and visitors to Keswick.

The manager is really kind. We were warmly welcomed and got an excellent service. The taste of foods are so authentically Thai!!! Thank you🙂

Such a disappointing meal and sad to give this place even one star. Ordered fish cake starters which were thin, rubbery and greasy, only had one mouthful and unable to eat the rest. Main courses were bland tasting - veg red curry had strange tasting sauce with limp, unappetizing veg on top, which again I left. Penang beef curry came with overcooked veg and bland sauce. In addition, our beer and wine glasses didn't look clean or smell hygienic. Non of our dishes had an authentic Thai taste and we all agreed that this was probably one of the worst meals we have ever experienced. Service was okay, but our server didn't acknowledge the fact that much of our food was left uneaten - a bit of a red flag!

We visit Keswick every year now for the last 3 years and we go here each time. Such a wonderful environment with food which is amazing and the staff are so friendly If.you haven't tried it I recommend it highly

Been to Keswick three times and every time we have a meal here. Mainly because the food is great. Service however spoilt the experience this time - (17th July 2024) They forgot one of our starters (only two of us) and then when this was pointed out, they apologised and told us that they were now making it (Thai soup). But just left us both staring at the one starter for about ten minutes as it went cold. (We didn’t go out for a meal to eat on our own) No gesture with the bill to help placate the situation. Shame, as it spoilt the experience.

We went as a group of six on a Saturday night. Booked a few weeks in advanced and it was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and came quickly. Reasonably priced too.

We visited this place for food as a takeaway away option after having a long walk in the day - the service was unpleasant ignored - when we asked for sticky rice it came in a bag - (boil in the bag rice ) and the vegetable noodles was boring and bland with only one bean sprout £25 we paid for 2 rice and 2 noodles !!! And it was all preheated bland food !!!! Will not be returning do not waste your money untill staff get a personality and learn to cook!

A central location and it seemed to be popular. Green Thai curry was OK. Service OK. Decor not the smartest. Not great value for money. Don't think I'd rush back

Had a quick meal here last night.Pulled pork with cashew nuts stir fry with rice. Quick service, best meal in a few weeks. Very tasty indeed, highly recommend.

Requested a high chair so I can sit my baby down safely so I can look at the menu and the older Thai lady said’ “I need to serve others first and not just attend to you”. I literally only asked for the high chair. Super rude and we walked out immediately

Booked a table with short notice. Very accommodating especially with having young kids. Excellent, fast service and great food! Really reasonable prices too!

Great little find! Beautiful food and great service. We were very lucky to get in as we had booked early as it was an extremely busy restaurant. Whilst we were there, those people chancing a walk in were turned away as no other tables available so would advise booking!!

Ate at this restaurant 19/5 with 5 friends. 24 hours later 4 of us had dreadful food poisoning. Diarrhoea and vomiting for past 3 days. Subsequently found out they have a food hygiene rating of 1. Will NEVER go back

A lovely little Thai restaurant with nice ambience. The food was the best Thai food we have ever had. The serving lady was so lovely and super helpful with the menu. Would 100% recommend!

Went twice during a short stay in Keswick and it was excellent. The food was fantastic and I wish it was near me, I would go a lot. Lovely staff, all round great evenings out. I'm now hinting for good Thai restaurants near me as I am searching for that wonderful food experience and I bet I don't find anywhere as good!

It was my first time in a Thai restaurant and I absolutely loved the Thai food. My friends who had good experience in thai food said it was the best authentic thai food. The lady who served our order was very sweet, helpful and kind. I loved the energy and friendly discussion we had. Overall interior and vibe of the restaurant was excellent and showcasing asian culture. Quantity of food was sufficient. The desserts were delicious and unique which you don’t usually get. Would definitely recommend.

The reason for the one star on atmosphere is that you don't get time to enjoy it. From the moment you enter you feel like you are being rushed. Not a one off as this happened last time too. Chicken satay looks like a mackerel fillet. Dry and obviously not freshly cooked. I went in for the second time hoping it was a one off last time but no. Even more rushed and when I asked the owner if he minded slowing it down a bit as I felt rushed (very kindly I may add) he said "it's not rushed it's been half an hour and you've only had the starter" arrogant guy. I'm sorry but I expect at least an hour even an hour and a half to enjoy the restaurant and food. Will not go again and give him my hard earned money. Scum bag Never experienced this in any other restaurant other than this. And if you are reading this owner I hope you go bust you plonker

Jumped into this restaurant after a long hike on Saturday evening. It was extremely busy but stuff was polite and helpful - they managed to find a table for three for us. They have Thai chefs and you can see it from the decor and mainly feel it from food. It was tasty and fresh! Thank you

Fabulous! We love Thai and honestly this is best we have had! Friendly service and lovely atmosphere. We booked for 6pm on a Saturday and only just managed to get in so definitely book ahead

But there we are….there are at least 2! Lovely Thai food, not too spicy, either! Pleasant waiting staff. Only thing was, it wasn’t too warm indoors.

Beautiful food, very reasonably priced, great atmosphere, but service was slow. Next time, I will order more dishes for my main course as a Yorkshireman, I left still feeling hungry.

I visited on New Year’s Eve with my family and had a lovely meal. The spring rolls and yellow curry were delicious! The service was also great.

Really friendly and accommodating staff and a nice busy atmosphere. The Thai menu seems authentic but the dishes have been adjusted for Western taste and aren't. They were mostly tasty, but not authentic. Type of place where fries are ordered more than rice. Don't expect Thai street food.

First visit to this restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming staff, food cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. My wife asked about the spiciness of her choice and they readily offered to reduce it slightly to suit her. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Keswick.

Date night in Keswick and the Man chose this restaurant as our eaterie. We arrived early, the place was busy but the service was lovely. The food was delicious and the bill reasonable. I'd love to come again.

This was a last minute choice - mainly because it was very near where we were staying. Although we hadn't booked and the restaurant was very busy, we were immediately shown to a table and drinks served. Prawn crackers quickly followed with drinks. We didn't wait long for our delicious meals. Everything was truly lovely- including the staff. I would highly recommend.

Authentic ,Thai restaurant in the heart of Keswick .Value for 💰

Mooched around Keswick on Halloween weekend and found this place at the top of town, everywhere had waiting of around an hour. Seated straight away and they had plenty of room to be fair. Couple of Thai lagers on draught, Inchs on draught for a cider drinker. Good selection on the menu, if anything the service was over attentive but fair enough. Food was good and at reasonable price

Lovely hot and tasty food and really friendly staff. Our food and drink were brought out really quickly and tasted amazing :) A really good last minute find - could maybe do with some quiet music as it was quite quiet.

Not much atmosphere as no background music. Lady serving was lovely. Veg spring rolls were lovely but my mains of stir fry felt lukewarm.

New to us and what a find. As authentic as you can get according to 2 of my companions who have travelled far and wide in Thailand. Great food, friendly and efficient service in a fine setting. To be repeated! ... and it was! So good we visited twice in our Keswick walking week so between us we had 8 different dishes, all superb and were welcomed like long lost friends. See you next year 😊

The service was very bad, we had to wait for just over an hour for the food and we were treated very arrogantly by the staff. However, the food tasted good once it arrived.

Food was great.. but the whole experience was very rushed. From sitting down, we were immediately asked what we wanted, starters came within what seemed like one or two minutes. The staff were 'hovering' watching is and as soon as we had finished our starter, the main was put straight in front of us... literally. No gap, no pause, no breathing space to actually enjoy the place and the experience which was a pity as we have eaten here before and enjoyed it previously. So, key message for the manager: please allow us to enjoy the experience and relax in your lovely restaurant.

Had high expectations but unfortunately all the food we ordered was extremely bland and disappointing. Felt like a waste of money so would not recommend to anyone. Read reviews of customers becoming sick after eating here too which is shocking. Avoid eating here.

We were recommended this place and had it on good authority that it was “10 times” better than the other Thai in Keswick. Our hopes were high and then quickly dashed by Asaya. We’d booked ahead and service was quick and attentive. Even though there were a few ladies on the floor; drinks and food orders were taken and delivered quicker than expected considering the restaurant was pretty full - impressive stuff. However, the food is a real let down. My wife ordered the chicken spring rolls - these were stone cold in the middle and though she left most of them; staff didn’t apologise, nor was this removed from the final bill. The chicken satay, although plentiful was bland and was just about warm enough. Mains were also disappointing. My wife’s garlic pepper chicken stir fry was a small portion and again bland. My choice of the crispy chicken with rendang curry sauce, although generous with the chicken was bland, contained no vegetables as filler and the tiny portion of sauce was quickly absorbed into the breadcrumbs straightaway meaning a very dry main. Wouldn’t return.

Esperienza borderline. La cameriera capisce l'inglese a malapena e lo parla a stento pertanto incasina l'ordine. La cucina è sotto di personale e l'attesa è interminabile. Tutto lo staff è in modalità sopravvivenza e evita accuratamente il contatto visivo con i clienti. Ci sono opzioni decisamente migliori nel paese.

As with most Thai restaurants the staff are very welcoming, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely going back. Word of warning though... BOOK AHEAD.

Food ok but not up to the standard we have enjoyed on previous visits. Service was slow and somewhat indifferent. Cheerful ambience lacking. Glass of wine was on the small side.

Really good restaurant. We had a slight change of plans and called up at 8pm & they found us a table straight away. The staff were super lovely, accommodated for us well. Food was divine, really tasty, good quality and will definitely be returning. There was a lot on the menu which was great, and the prices were good. Thank you for providing a lovely evening for us.

What a absolute amazing time we had, this is great for romantic meal or small parties, the meal tastea like a bit of heaven, I would highly recommend if you visit kedwick you try here without a doubt

Our hotel restaurant was fully booked so went walkabout and came across Asaya. They were busy but managed to get us a table for 2. The food was good traditional Thai style and the service was excellent given how busy they were. Prices are also reasonable. Would definately return.

Delicious Thai food in Stratford-upon-Avon on main busy road (can't recall street name) where all the buses travel. Had quick lunch here on way to visit Shakespeare sights. Looks like a lovely ambience for dinner too. Fresh tasty Thai food with Thai servers. I enjoyed a delicious Thai crispy duck papaya salad. Great for familes, couples, solo travelers, everyone 😀 Definitely recommend 👍

to start with the food was nice, unfortunately the service was terrible. I don't know if they were trying out a new ordering system or not but it was not working. after a long wait our starters didn't arrive but our mains did, upon asking all we got was did you order one? no apologies and the lady went off to check the order to see if we were telling the truth. when the mains came back one dish was missing the rice and when asked we got the same response as before and no apology. such a shame but we won't be going back and we are regular visitors to Keswick....

We visited Keswick on a weekend and ordered takeaway, so in terms of service and atmosphere I can’t really comment, other than to mention that for takeaway they do pick up only and the kitchen closes at 8pm (it was a Saturday when we ordered), which seems early to me. Food was good, but not amazing. The chicken pad Thai’s was a little dry but still decent. Cashew chicken was also good but maybe a touch too spicy. Good selection of vegetarian options though. Overall prices are on the higher side but I assume it’s accepted / no other option as it seems to be the only Thai place in town. For example, a serving of vegetarian spring rolls consists of 4 rolls for £10 which is pricey considering that they are also relatively small size. Not my favourite Thai place ever, but also not the worst. If you’re really craving Thai then I’d go here, otherwise I’d personally prefer a meal down at one of the pubs.

The food here was fresh, full of flavour and brought promptly in spite of how busy the restaurant was. If you want restaurant staff to be grinning like Cheshire cats whilst serving you, go somewhere else. The people who work here are really nice and went out of their way to find us a table in the packed restaurant, no false niceties, just good people doing a great job. Loved.this place.

Deliciously fresh Thai food, good service and well priced

Very welcoming and attentive staff. It was a very busy Saturday night but they took good care of us and even though the food took a while due to it being so busy, it was well worth the wait. Cooked to perfection. No faults. I had the veg spring rolls with a plum sauce to start with and they were delicious as was the chicken vermicelli main course. The waitress was really helpful and couldn't do enough for us, plus really friendly and chatty. Great atmosphere inside and very clean and well presented. Would definitely recommend. 😋

The starters and mains were all very tasty. Never been to a Thai before that didn't offer set meals! I was very happy with my choice, but it was a risk as don't really know what to order when it comes to Thai. Would definitely recommend this lovely friendly restaurant. Two of my friends had dishes that were rather too hot - they were still saying it was good though! Could do with having a scale of hotness mentioned on the menu? And some set menus to make it easier to order when like me, you don't know what to order!
