Artista Italian Restaurant in Barnet

The food was nice. Not happy that one of the members of staff kept filming us or taking photos of everyone in the restaurant. They never asked for consent and some of us do not want our faces plastered over the internet. That ruined the experience.

A Thursday night dinner at this long established and busy Italian restaurant. Service was friendly and there are good options on a traditional Italian menu. I had chicken cacciatore for a main and my friend the lemon veal. Both were okay though i found the food average and similar in quality to Italian restaurants I have been to recently in Camden and Bloomsbury. Prices are also similar. With a decent bottle of chianti and 2 courses each the damage £102 for 2 including service. Fine if you are in area.

Was taken by my friend for a meal out, was warmly welcomed and very polite. Amazed at the prices and was expecting the food to reflect this, I was wrong and totally surprised; great quality and plenty of it Not sure when I'll be next in London but hope I can visit again

We have been several times before and the food has been good. Service remains friendly but we left wondering if there was a problem with the kitchen or a new chef. Lasagne looked as if it had been frozen and then had had insufficient time in a microwave. Centre cool not hot or even warm. Risotto the same. I probably have the diagnosis wrong but the outcome was sub-standard. Life too short to make a fuss but we both noted that despite leaving nearly full plates nobody asked us why.

Not so good. Kids who like watered down catsup for their pasta source would like it here. The wait staff tries and fails to be "Italian". Too bad the cook staff does not make the same effort.

We popped in early evening before theatre.Very quiet. brightly lit-which some people may not like.Lovely food and wine and extensive menu with usual Italian fare.Did have a specials menu for the day.Manager/ staff pleasant and very laid back.We were given complimentary fresh fruit /nuts and Lemoncello Liqueur-(the whole bottle offered!) at the end of the meal.Would recommend.
