Hands down, the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. In a word, vile. The chips looked very dark, saturated in oil, almost as if they’ve been recooked. The chicken balls were similar, if you can call them balls. More like little chicken bites. Unlike any chicken balls I’ve ever had from a Chinese takeaway before. Only item that was ok was the curry sauce but that’s no good by itself. BBQ ribs tasted of nothing. I tried the sauce by itself and although red in colour, had no flavour at all. I don’t understand how everything except the curry sauce could’ve been messed up, and I don’t understand why somebody sent this food out for delivery when it was of such poor quality and a very low standard. Never had such an awful delivery in my life and I’ve been ordering food online for around 16 years and never been so disappointed. Buck your ideas up or close down and make room for a business that deserves a chance.

food was good thanks and enjoyed it, shame it was late and the just eat ETA was maybe over ambitious as we had young kids who could do with eating earlier

I ordered at 6.45pm .said would get food 7.45. we got it 8.20 .it was all cold.

The Char Sui Pork smelt and tasted strange. Definitely not like any other I’ve had before! The rest was delicious and they even gave me a treat of some surprise spring rolls. Thank you for them! ☺️

Food was good but ordered it at 6:30 to be delivered at 7:30 and it came at just gone 8. Can understand as it’s Mother’s Day and you will be busy but when ordering an hour in advance you would think it wouldn’t be half an hour late. However like I said the food was good just disappointed about the timing

Although the food was late they added a few extra items to make up. The food was a mixed bag for instance the chicken curry with rice was amazing, as were the free spring rolls and also the chop suey. However we get to the BBQ ribs, when opening the cartons the smell is appalling such that I didn't even eat any. The chicken and pork balls were mediocre and seemed to be overdone, we are used to the fluffy soft batter from other suppliers. All in all I wont use again but the service was excellent.

I was very disappointed with one of the dishes as the meat was over cooked and hard. Whilst meant to be crispy, this does not mean inedible and unable to be chewed.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had in my life, chicken chow main stone cold, chilli beef stone cold, prawn crackers stale. Only thing edible was the curry sauce, submitted a refund to just eat and they refused it, £40 down the drain. I have no way of getting a refund. All went in the bin, completely inedible. Ordered from here before and it was good, but this time will make me avoid Arthur’s for the rest of my life. DISGUSTING. Upside it was delivered on time.

crispy beef was soft and very chewy, like it had been reheated in the microwave. the rest of the was luke warm at best. overall a disappointing meal which mostly went in the bin. such a shame for a long standing business

Not what it used to be. Also called to ask for no pork in the noodles and lady on phone confirmed address and order. Noodles turned up with pork in them so partner couldn’t eat his dish.

Portion sizes are terrible, this is not how they used to be and the price did not reflect what we had and the quality was poor. Rice was hard and cold which is disappointing but everything else was hot. Food took forever to come, the one good thing was they do a good curry sauce, but this will not make me come back. Spend your money elsewhere

The beef in hot sauce literally looked like cat food covered in a congealed sauce. Smelled weird, Didn't eat it ! Noodles were alright but nowhere near as good as my usual Chinese takeaway. Salt and pepper chicken and rice were good

Tasteless over priced food. Only went here because I didn't realise my normal Chinese is closed on a Tuesday. Arthur's should be shut down. Portion sizes for the price of the food was terrible. Beef chow mein flavourless. Chicken fried rice was like egg fried rice with chicken thrown on top. Got our delivery wrong and had to come back with the missing food. I'm surprised this place has managed to remain open for so many years

I was very unhappy with my order. I ordered Singapore chow mein. It was not authentic. It was only Luke warm and the noodles were very pastey. I also ordered fried chicken in orange sauce. I could hardly find the chicken i5 was mostly warm batter. I also paid for a Diet Pepsi but did NOT get this. They sent prawn crackers which i did not order they were stale as they were bendy and did not crunch. All in all I ended up making myself an omelette . I had to throw everything out as it was disgusting. BUT THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT DELIVER MY PEPSI. ABSOLUTE RUBISH.

The rice seemed a little undercooked

We ordered through Just Eat and the food arrived on time…. The price was good but the portions were a bit small and the quality was disappointing… The best bit was the free crispy veggies rolls… they arrived hot and crisp in a paper bag and with a sweet chilli dipping sauce… The satay chicken was OK but not exceptional, as was the duck with a few cashew nuts and salt and pepper ribs…. All the veggies in the dishes were over cooked! The char sui was chewy and the chilli beef was awful…. Thick and soggy batter on the beef and the chilli sauce wasn’t great…. Perhaps they should consider sending the crispy beef separately in a paper bag for takeaways…. Or rename it soggy beef!!!! Will we order again? Probably not….

I used to look forward to my Chinese from this restaurant but today it was an hour late, Luke warm and tasted awful. You can't get through to complain as the phone is always engaged, one would assume it is phone calls of complaints tying up the line. The duck was mostly fat, we didn't have enough to fill four pancakes let alone the six that come with it. The crispy shredded beef was chewy and not worth the calories at all. The chicken chow mein was passable. The rice was nice, but you know, it's rice. I won't order from them again. It's not worth the money or the time waiting for it to arrive. Such a shame. It used to be the best Chinese around :(

Delivery service was exceptional however the inside of my chicken was pink and they gave me spring rolls instead of rice

Ordered at 18:14 delivered at 20:10. The restaurant showed delivery at 19:25 this was when I called to ask where it was and they said it would be another 15 minutes. Abysmal.

I love this place. Food has always been awesome but tonight’s wasn’t brilliant. Long time to arrive but to be fair within the delivery timings given from the start. Food was cold and not to its usual standard. Prawn crackers were soggy and seaweed looked like it had been reheated. Was disappointed tonight.

This is by far the worst Chinese I have ever had! I want my money back. None of what I did receive was edible. It all tasted reheated. Soggy or just full of oil. Lacked flavour. I wish I read the reviews before ordering. Only lived in high Wycombe since may so I thought would give you guys a go. Never again!

So disappointed 😔 the food was awful! Rice rock hard and clearly re-heated, pork balls tough, hard and not fresh, prawn dish completely tasteless, beef dish tasteless, prawn crackers stale and duck tasteless too (hoisin sauce was bitter and gloopy)! How can it be so wrong and so bad!? The restaurant has gone downhill and I won’t be ordering again.

Don’t order from this restaurant. Food arrived 2 hours after ordering and was mainly inedible. Read the reviews and save yourself wasting money like I have.

Crispy chilli beef was soggy chilli beef, lemon chicken was soggy too. Sweet and sour chicken was a strange dark red colour and meat was over cooked. Not enough pancakes for the duck. Pretty poor all round …

Not the best I've had. Spring rolls were great. Chips were just soggy, mainly because they were put in a sealed container. Chicken balls were overdone and the shredded beef was average at best.

Was massively disappointed with this order which is a massive shame as I used to order from here all the time. The chicken balls were burnt, the ribs didn’t turn up and the salt and pepper chicken had absolutely no flavour! The only good think about this order was the egg fried rice and curry sauce! Won’t be ordering from here again

Very disappointed, ribs no way with a ribs small pieces of pork no more than 60 mm long by 4 mm wide 50% gristle. Chop soon it was pink and tasteless the chow mein and rice or acceptable but nothing special at that price. Never never never again

Food was quite clearly reheated which is a shame as the flavours were nice just everything was dry, rubbery or stale.

Portion size was very small for the amt i paid. Smaller containers. Ribs 4 tiny pieces for over £7. This must of been a joke. Otherwise food has vastly improved.

Food arrived before the latest delivery time, food that did arrive was nice, we were missing 1 dish.

The food was tasteless, the batter for prawn balls wasn't nice, and neither was the prawn on toast. The crispy chilli beef wasn't crispy but soggy and no chilli. A total disaster and I am angry that I spend so much money for such poor quality of food. I will never order from them again.

Really gone down hill… the food packaging was terrible, as we received the delivery all of the curries was open and tipped inside the bag… completely ruined all the food, won’t be ordering from here again £50 waste

Food was very poor quality, Duck was mainly fat and for £20 is very disappointing.

Food quality very poor, rice clearly had been sat around for a long time, very hard dry and cold. Batter on the chicken balls also tasteless and chicken hard. Pretty much all the food was cold, sweet and sour sauce very watery. Also ordered 2 chow mein only sent one. All in all bad experience and will definitely not be getting food from here again. The only positive, half way down the bag of prawn crackers came across a couple that seemed somewhat fresh!

Prawn crackers were not edible. Some burnt, some uncooked, and all 3 I attempted were chewy. Although the food had some nice flavours, the meat wasn't consistently prepared on this occasion.

Food was brilliant as always. There was a slight mistake with my order where I received Prawn Toast instead of Seaweed. I was disappointed but the Prawn Toast was good. To be fair, in the six months I’ve been ordering from here this is the first mistake.

Food inedible, greasy, slimey, tasteless. Prawn toasts what litte there was for the price were hard. Chilli Beef was disgusting, full of slime. Won't be using again.

Prawn toast was stale and had no prawn filling. Chilli beef had no chilli and strange consistency sauce more mush than sauce. Special fried rice was overcooked. Probably the poorest neal I have had in years
