terrible service kept hanging up the phone

I placed my order around 6pm and didn’t receive it until 9pm, got my order wrong and food was cold really not hally

Took 2 hours from order to delivery, will not use again

This is the worse experience I have ever had! This wasn’t the first time this has happened. Called several times to chase up order and kept getting told it’s on it way! Waited over 2.5 hours and got told they only had one driver when we ordered through just eat. Kept getting told if we order from there again leave a note such a awful experience won’t be going back

The prawn crackers were soft, bendy, chewy and inedible, everything else was great.

Amazing food as always from here. While the food wasn’t boiling- it is minus outside and snowing so this is no fault of theirs! Still delicious

it took 3 hours to receive our food by delivery!!!! Not acceptable at all. Understand it was a busy night but at some point you should stop accepting orders or even consider asking customers if they would like to cancel their order…i would have rather cancelled the order in the end & not had to wait 3 whole hours for cold food anyway. No extras or anything given to make up for the outrageous delivery time either. Food cold and soggy.

Ordered at 17.45 on a Sunday because of an estimated delivery time of 35-50minutes. As soon as order was placed the delivery estimate instantly went up to 70-90 minutes. It took TWO HOURS for the food turn up. Food was ok, but not worth the wait.

Delivery time kept getting pushed later and later even though it still said 35-50 mins. Ordered at 6:20 and didn’t get food until 8:30. Food ok when arrived. Chips were hard and a bit cold.

Arrived early can’t say anything about that but the rice was dry, the chicken inside some chicken balls were dry and the portion size for the seaweed was tiny the box was half empty for what I payed for it and that you have been there over 50 years I expected better

Hands down, the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. In a word, vile. The chips looked very dark, saturated in oil, almost as if they’ve been recooked. The chicken balls were similar, if you can call them balls. More like little chicken bites. Unlike any chicken balls I’ve ever had from a Chinese takeaway before. Only item that was ok was the curry sauce but that’s no good by itself. BBQ ribs tasted of nothing. I tried the sauce by itself and although red in colour, had no flavour at all. I don’t understand how everything except the curry sauce could’ve been messed up, and I don’t understand why somebody sent this food out for delivery when it was of such poor quality and a very low standard. Never had such an awful delivery in my life and I’ve been ordering food online for around 16 years and never been so disappointed. Buck your ideas up or close down and make room for a business that deserves a chance.

The Char Sui Pork smelt and tasted strange. Definitely not like any other I’ve had before! The rest was delicious and they even gave me a treat of some surprise spring rolls. Thank you for them! ☺️

The chicken balls were over cooked and prawn crackers were undercooked and greasy. We’ve had better from here.

Food was good but ordered it at 6:30 to be delivered at 7:30 and it came at just gone 8. Can understand as it’s Mother’s Day and you will be busy but when ordering an hour in advance you would think it wouldn’t be half an hour late. However like I said the food was good just disappointed about the timing

Although the food was late they added a few extra items to make up. The food was a mixed bag for instance the chicken curry with rice was amazing, as were the free spring rolls and also the chop suey. However we get to the BBQ ribs, when opening the cartons the smell is appalling such that I didn't even eat any. The chicken and pork balls were mediocre and seemed to be overdone, we are used to the fluffy soft batter from other suppliers. All in all I wont use again but the service was excellent.

I was very disappointed with one of the dishes as the meat was over cooked and hard. Whilst meant to be crispy, this does not mean inedible and unable to be chewed.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had in my life, chicken chow main stone cold, chilli beef stone cold, prawn crackers stale. Only thing edible was the curry sauce, submitted a refund to just eat and they refused it, £40 down the drain. I have no way of getting a refund. All went in the bin, completely inedible. Ordered from here before and it was good, but this time will make me avoid Arthur’s for the rest of my life. DISGUSTING. Upside it was delivered on time.

All the food was delicious. Sent a couple of freebies too. Meal enjoyed very much, thank you.

crispy beef was soft and very chewy, like it had been reheated in the microwave. the rest of the was luke warm at best. overall a disappointing meal which mostly went in the bin. such a shame for a long standing business

Not what it used to be. Also called to ask for no pork in the noodles and lady on phone confirmed address and order. Noodles turned up with pork in them so partner couldn’t eat his dish.

Portion sizes are terrible, this is not how they used to be and the price did not reflect what we had and the quality was poor. Rice was hard and cold which is disappointing but everything else was hot. Food took forever to come, the one good thing was they do a good curry sauce, but this will not make me come back. Spend your money elsewhere

The beef in hot sauce literally looked like cat food covered in a congealed sauce. Smelled weird, Didn't eat it ! Noodles were alright but nowhere near as good as my usual Chinese takeaway. Salt and pepper chicken and rice were good

Tasteless over priced food. Only went here because I didn't realise my normal Chinese is closed on a Tuesday. Arthur's should be shut down. Portion sizes for the price of the food was terrible. Beef chow mein flavourless. Chicken fried rice was like egg fried rice with chicken thrown on top. Got our delivery wrong and had to come back with the missing food. I'm surprised this place has managed to remain open for so many years

I was very unhappy with my order. I ordered Singapore chow mein. It was not authentic. It was only Luke warm and the noodles were very pastey. I also ordered fried chicken in orange sauce. I could hardly find the chicken i5 was mostly warm batter. I also paid for a Diet Pepsi but did NOT get this. They sent prawn crackers which i did not order they were stale as they were bendy and did not crunch. All in all I ended up making myself an omelette . I had to throw everything out as it was disgusting. BUT THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT DELIVER MY PEPSI. ABSOLUTE RUBISH.

We ordered through Just Eat and the food arrived on time…. The price was good but the portions were a bit small and the quality was disappointing… The best bit was the free crispy veggies rolls… they arrived hot and crisp in a paper bag and with a sweet chilli dipping sauce… The satay chicken was OK but not exceptional, as was the duck with a few cashew nuts and salt and pepper ribs…. All the veggies in the dishes were over cooked! The char sui was chewy and the chilli beef was awful…. Thick and soggy batter on the beef and the chilli sauce wasn’t great…. Perhaps they should consider sending the crispy beef separately in a paper bag for takeaways…. Or rename it soggy beef!!!! Will we order again? Probably not….

Vendor left out the free pancake rolls.

I used to look forward to my Chinese from this restaurant but today it was an hour late, Luke warm and tasted awful. You can't get through to complain as the phone is always engaged, one would assume it is phone calls of complaints tying up the line. The duck was mostly fat, we didn't have enough to fill four pancakes let alone the six that come with it. The crispy shredded beef was chewy and not worth the calories at all. The chicken chow mein was passable. The rice was nice, but you know, it's rice. I won't order from them again. It's not worth the money or the time waiting for it to arrive. Such a shame. It used to be the best Chinese around :(

Delivery service was exceptional however the inside of my chicken was pink and they gave me spring rolls instead of rice

Ordered at 18:14 delivered at 20:10. The restaurant showed delivery at 19:25 this was when I called to ask where it was and they said it would be another 15 minutes. Abysmal.

I love this place. Food has always been awesome but tonight’s wasn’t brilliant. Long time to arrive but to be fair within the delivery timings given from the start. Food was cold and not to its usual standard. Prawn crackers were soggy and seaweed looked like it had been reheated. Was disappointed tonight.

This is by far the worst Chinese I have ever had! I want my money back. None of what I did receive was edible. It all tasted reheated. Soggy or just full of oil. Lacked flavour. I wish I read the reviews before ordering. Only lived in high Wycombe since may so I thought would give you guys a go. Never again!
