ArtHouse Bar and Pizzeria in Liverpool

We were so expecting Art House to be one of the highlights of our trip and, instead, it was just average. The photos and reviews were so nice, but we were underwhelmed. Nothing was outstanding. The food was okay. The highlight was the desserts. But the beef was boring and dry and we were told we could not order anything but medium rare. Appetizers were boring, too. Out waiter was a downer. Stiff as a board. What’s with the white gloves? It was an average, overpriced meal, and we were disappointed. For the price and the reviews, it should have blown us away.

I am a 23 year old student that tried to get in. At first they wanted my ID. I proceeded to show it, but after one second of looking at it, the bouncer (girl) threw me out. I proceeded to go back to ask why. My quiree was met with a punch in the face by a male bouncer. I wanted to file a complaint, but because of the process, I proceeded not too. I had to pay my dentist £X to repair my splitted gum. However, I would never go back. Unprofessional and a bunch of ********. I wanted to report the punch to the police, but a fellow consumer convinced me not too. I will sure spread this word of mouth throughout University of Liverpool, and will never recommend anyone to go back. I am happy to give you the (male) bouncers name (contact me).

Nos alojamos por una escapada de fin de semana y fue fantástico. Las habitaciones eran grandes y cómodas y el personal era excelente y nada era demasiado problema, especialmente el gerente. Nos ayudó cuando tuvimos algunos problemas con nuestro grupo y nos cuidó. Recomendaría los cócteles y el restaurante al otro lado de la calle Alma de Cuba fue fabuloso. Muy buen ambiente.

Este hotel fue el punto culminante de mi visita a Liverpool. Está en las callejuelas, no sabrías que estaba allí. Absolutamente fantásticas habitaciones, nos alojamos en la sala Grease, tenía clase, los amigos se hospedaban en la sala Sound of Music, que era glamorosa y también la sala Mary Poppins también era genial. El personal allí era increíble, hasta las señoras de la limpieza, los hombres y mujeres de recepción, la seguridad a las 5. 00 de la mañana (por un cigarrillo). Ellie que cantó en el bar el viernes por la noche, qué voz. Podría seguir y seguir, es una visita obligada para cualquier persona. Gracias por un gran fin de semana.

Visitamos el bar casa de arte para el reciente concurso noche de amor, que se realizó en la isla. Pasamos un buen rato! Estaba tan bien pensado, desde los dulces poco en las mesas para el atrezzo y los cócteles de especialidad (2 por 10 libras! ! ! Ganga! Poco) y el mejor llegar para ver el episodio en el intervalo. Cóctel en la mano! ! ! Realmente lo que podría ser mejor? ! ? ! Tuvimos una carcajada, el stand de hula hooping el disyuntor corbata era divertidísimo ver. Tan bien organizado - creo que es sin duda un lugar en el mercado para este tipo de evento, así que espero que hay más, ya que fue una noche fantástica.

Booked this as part of our girls weekend away package, and we had a great time. Mustafa who ran the class really made it for us, and the cocktails where great as well.

We booked through Signature Living this cocktail master class and I have to say we had an amazing time, we laugh from the minute it started and continued until we left. I have to say our instructor Sophie was amazing she had lots of games was very patient even though we were loud, she made the experience for....if you can ask her!! Sophie bombay bad boy cocktail was out of this world, I'm wasn't a gin drinker but has changed now. The location is in the more lively area and from the outside doesn't look like much but once inside it was nice, the other staff were helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend these classes...highlight to our weekend.

Stayed here on a Sunday night! Fab hotel, fab location and fantastic staff!! Really helpful in advising us places to eat and drink! Room great for a group of girls!! Would definitely stay again xxx

Went for a Hen Do and had a cocktail making lesson, have to say was brilliant staff amazing especially Leon our instructor. had lots of games was very patient even though we were loud. Music also great. would definitely would go again.

This was supposed to just be the meeting place for some old uni mates and I but ended up staying until they closed. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, the live act they had on later in the night was this guitarist/vocalist and a beatboxer and honestly the were a lot better than I thought they'd be. Definitely be coming back on my next night out in Liverpool.

Attended a lively social group here with some friends, on a Wednesday evening. The organiser was told that there'd be music floating in from the main bar area but that the private hire room would be subdued enough for conversation. Lies! On the night, a live guitarist was playing in the bar, and being amplified through speakers in the private room. Despite a bunch of us complaining about the volume, the manager wouldn't back down or lower it in the private hire room. To tell the truth they seemed a little out of their depth. The place has a fairly typical bar and cocktail selection (although bizarrely no cider at all!?) and the pizzas are respectable. Just a shame they don't really care about the folks in the private room.

Booked private room next to bar for a big(41 people) Social Group. The person who had fixed up the booking had said there would be a LOW level of noise filtering through to our room from the bar(where there was a music act for most of the evening); the noise was LOUD, and there were loudspeakers in our room, which the bookings person had omitted to explain. They were unable to isolate the speakers in our room; so, though the evening was not wholly spoiled, it did significantly affect our enjoyment,as it was hard to talk above the noise. Either there were communication issues between staff or we had been mis-informed re the space. The Bar Manager, Alice, was excellent ; and tried, to no avail, to remedy the situation. It was such a shame because she had set up everything in the room really well and she really tried her best. Her Manager also told her we had been made aware of the noise level; but see above! So this Manager tried to blame it on me,the Group Organiser. The organisation is trying to reach out to LGBT groups(of which we are one) in the region, but they have lost Merseyside LGBT; we shall go elsewhere.

Used a wowcher deal so got the bottomless pizza and prosecco for 2 for £25. Wouldn't pay the full price. Lovely service from the staff. Pizzas were nice but the prosecco tasted very cheap. It was not nice at all. There was some entertainment on when we visited. A singer and sax player who were fantastic. Really made a good atmosphere. We had a nice evening. Wouldn't rush back out of my way to visit but if we were nearby I would go again.

Don't bother. This place has no right whatsoever to call itself a pizzeria when the pizzas are blatantly cheap, store bought disasters. Seriously, you can get better pizzas for £1 in Asda.

We were staying in the adjoining hotel for the weekend (unfortunately there were a number of problems with the hotel stay, detailed in my review of that! Not sure if they offer a breakfast to the public who aren't staying at the hotel, but if they do I would advise that you give it a miss!) and had pizza and drinks in the bar on the Saturday night, it had a friendly atmosphere, not too quiet and not too loud. The pizza was nice and reasonably priced and the music was fun (mainly 90's/ early 2000's ). A good place to grab some food and drinks before a night out.

Had a stay in the hotel and was invited down to the bar by a very polite gent (Jack) who took care of us for the evening. We ordered some food as we hadn't eaten and split two movie themed pizzas between us. Drinks we great. There was some younger people in playing ping-pong and seemed to be having fun. Coming back to Liverpool next summer and looking forward to seeing how the bar comes on.

We were staying in the signature living apartments for a hen doo and a promoter came up to invite us for some drinks offers at the bar. We had an hour to kill so agreed he could take us straight there...what a waste of money! Firstly, we were the only ones in other than 2 other couples eating pizza. Some of the girls had finished their, extremely average cocktails before all of us had even been served (slow, amateur bar tenders). The promoter apologised with some shots, he was doing his best but was let down by the staff inside unfortunately. If the drinks had been good and served well it wouldn't have mattered how quiet it was but this clearly is not their forte. Perhaps it's the pizza? We didn't stay to find out.
