Stopped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The fish tacos were crispy and seasoned well. A bit noisy inside, but still a great overall experience.

Eaten here many times. Food is always incredible. Wanted to review though to state how great the staff were and how great it was for children at lunchtime, from pasta making to the kids art wall. Amazing.

Excellent night overall, loved every dish we had, and the service was amazing, can't wait for our next visit!

Great spot - friendly and delicious food

Lovely venue. Fun decoration and artwork create an awesome atmosphere. We had an early Sunday dinner on a sunny day, so started off with the place to ourselves but slowly the more customers came in. The playlist was bangin’. Soul classics. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The food was great… lots of tasty dishes. The Pigs Head Bruschetta was particularly good. The sparkling Rose was very tasty… I forgot to take a pic of the bottle. Would go back maybe

The food was good, but what really stood out was the service. The waitress was absolutely lovely super friendly, attentive, and kind, even though she was completely on her own, taking care of several tables and also working behind the bar. You could tell she was doing her best to make sure everyone was looked after. Huge respect to her! I really hope the restaurant appreciates and supports her, she truly made the experience better.

This is a nice and ambient place for a date, although I wasn't here here on a date 😁 excellent service. Eclectic and authentic menu. The tiramisu made me feel grateful for life. Highly recommended. Walked in with no idea of restaurant name or cuisine and walked out with happiness. Vibe 💯

Absolutely amazing hidden gem 🩷 We were looking for a chilled vibe with good food for our wedding and we are so glad to have found Arte. Victor couldn’t have done more for us in designing the perfect menu for our day and Sophie and all the staff made the day run so smoothly. The decor and ambience just adds to the experience. Would give 100 stars if we could! Go nowwwww! Perfect for an intimate dinner and even better for intimate events 🩷

Lovely restaurant and atmosphere, it felt so homely and welcoming. Food was fantastic and really good value. Loads of big groups in there which was fab to see.

Went for the wine and pasta. The Ravioli was fabulous and woulf have beeb 5 stars exceot i only got about 10 squares of it. Meanwhile, my work colleague opted for another lasagne style which was not nearly as nice - the high end supernarket equiv would have been no worse - but at least he had a massive heaping plate full! Our starters were dreadful. Overpriced and basic. Side salad was lovely and well priced at £3.50. Wine was ok. Very pricey normally at £7.25 for the smallest glass. Nice ambiebce and friendly staff - even if there was more staff than customers and yet they still seemed to be falling over each other and neglecting to come ask us if we wanted the bill. Put a 12.y% discretionary charge on bill. You're very lucky my soppy old colleague who cant say boo to a goose much less req it be removed was paying this time as I certainly would not have paid any tip. overall not great.

Good food, good service and a nice ambience about the place. Lots of gluten free options and even fresh gluten free pasta available made by them. Worth a visit!

We had dinner here for a special occasion and it was absolutely lovely. The food was really excellent, service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely recommend and will be returning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, opting for a selection of various dishes and sharing with our table of 4. Homemade pasta was awesome, and the service was excellent. I was surprised by our lovely waiter who came out with a plate of various desserts, a lit candle, and singing happy birthday to me. I will definitely go back.

Goes from strength to strength. Brilliant local restaurant. Loved that they have started making the pasta in the restaurant. My husband had the pigs head bruccacatta which he adored while I had the squid which was cook to perfection. He had the beef shin papadelle while I had the squash ravioli.. Both were delicious finished with a yummy teramasu, nice and boozy! My only issue would be that they need to deal with the mould issue in the corner of the ceiling in the ladies bathroom . Other then that fantastic xx

I am always very sceptical of 1 star reviews amd never give them out but sadly I must. Ate here Friday and it was horrendous food. Poor quality and tasteless. Ate here previously and thoroughly enjoyed it but something has gone wrong. I think that it has gone into administration and is a going concern. Please save your money. We refused to payfor mains and the staff were understanding.

The food was absolutely incredible! From the flavorful focaccia and creamy mozzarella to the hearty bean stew, rich tagliatelle pasta, and perfectly cooked monkfish with crispy courgette fries, every dish was a delight. The portions were generous, bursting with flavor, and left us beyond satisfied. The service was top-notch, and the cozy, inviting atmosphere made it impossible to leave. A place that truly makes you want to savor every moment!

Went for my birthday last week. The food is always nice and the staff are enthusiastic. I do think the space could be improved with more segmentation and darker lighting it does feel a bit like a school hall and less intimate than it could be. But would not stop me returning again.

Lovely restaurant which my family went to while I was visiting my son. Firstly the staff were lovely- friendly, attentive and professional. Food was fabulous...especially the bread pudding 😋. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A lovely venue, with quirky details, however we were less than impressed with the food. We have both worked in catering and specialist food events, and found that our experience here, sadly, was below what we would have expected.

Just off the beaten track, this is a lovely place to eat. Although not the cheapest place to eat there's a nice selection of dishes. Good service with friendly staff

Always great experience at this friendly local restaurant. Imaginative menu brilliantly executed. The monkfish and the rib eye steak were excellent as were the courgette fries. The soundtrack and the sound system are great and not too loud. Only quibble, maybe a little more gorgenzola on the pear salad?? 🤔👍👍

Really good food, limited menu and to be honest if I have looked before going I would have given it a miss, but so pleased this did not happen. It was a quiet Wednesday night when I went so not very busy. Would definitely recommend.

I visited 2 weeks in a row as I couldn’t stop thinking about the pasta! After our lunch today was just as great as lunch last week I thought I should write a review :) Really great local restaurant with a delicious menu including amazing fresh pasta. There’s good choice for vegetarians, and a varied and changing menu meant I tried 2 dishes in 2 weeks, although I would have been happy to eat the same pasta again and again, it was so delicious! I like that you can go here on a budget for pasta and a soft drink, or go all out for 3 courses and drinks! Compared to other east London and local restaurants it’s great value for great quality and delicious restaurant food. We will definitely visit again soon!

I can't say enough nice things about Arte e Pasta. The food is all terrific, the staff are lovely, nice wine list, good cocktails. You should go and eat there at once.

I've been here a few times now. I reviewed 5 stars because it's fantastic but I feel like I needed to update the review to really say how great it is. The drinks are incredible. The place is really cool. But the food is really special. The agnolotti is glorious. My partner had the pigs head bruschetta and loved it. I'm vegetarian and asked it it was possible to have the pepper bruschetta without anchovies (which it was) then the owner came over to suggest fresh ricotta. She was right. The agnolotti is really something.

Me, my wife and little baby went here for lunch on Sunday. The food was delicious. The menu combines amazing flavours that you don't see in a typical Italian. The head chef Victor has created a delightful menu that on a Sunday includes a typical Italian style Roast, Bombetta. Must order the beetroot pasta and the glazed oranges with mozzarella. Can't recommend enough.

The choice of food is very limited! I ordered the calamari for starter and it was horrid totally inedible there was no seasoning it tastes sweet which is not what I expected at all! Even the mains lacked seasoning, The pasta was overcooked and underwhelming. The potato agnolotti was stodgy and lacked taste, there was hardly any sauce and it was very stodgy. I would not come back to this place again. It was overpriced for the quality and taste of food served. When I told the staff of my experience with the calamari the response was simply oh 😳. The service is also very slow. Overall really bad experience

Amazing, amazing food! The starters, pasta and main course were all mouth-wateringly good. This is what a neighbourhood restaurant should be like, warm service and great flavours. Would easily recommend!

Honestly 10/10, food was perfection, wine was sweet and delicate. Desert really well balanced. Service on point and chefs really took care in curating the flavours. Will be back soon for a culinary ensemble of small plates.

Wow, this place is amazing. Highly recommend the speck or calamari for starter, they have so much flavour. Mains and pudding were also delicious, portion sizes are great and the staff are lovely. Will definitely be visiting again.

We found the restaurant online and were excited to see what was on offer. That was really great, very tasty, very appetizing, served very friendly. You can happily go there again, it's a relief to discover such a great restaurant in Walthamstow. There is nothing like it nearby. The food here is really professionally prepared at a high level.

For me this is the best restaurant in Walthamstow and the are a few to choose from! Authentic Italian food, with a menu that is constantly refreshed. Always great service and good vibes here. Been here quite a few times now and never anything less than 5 stars across the board.

I dined here this evening, and from start to finish the whole experience was sensational! The staff are so accommodating and friendly, the wine list is extensive and delicious too. Everything I ordered tasted so fresh and delicious, I ate far more than I should have! The vibe was shabby sheek and relaxed and the price tag wasn't soo bad either. I will definitely be coming back. Happy diner 😋

Expectations weren't high for this place but somehow it still fell short. Food was mediocre and exceptionally poor value for money; £93 for two people, 3 courses, and no alcoholic drinks seems a little on the high side for a neighbourhood venue like this, and even more upsetting when you actually eat it; Not much flavour, even as someone who isn't that fussy about food we were both a bit let down. The prices for the meals and some of the starters were actually acceptable and portions were big enough, but extras like drinks and desserts are truly terrible value; £3.75 for 200ml bottles, small servings, etc The menu's are also visually not that impressive, plain single sided paper with no pictures and a somewhat clumsy layout; Would have liked to see something a bit more sophisticated for the price. The venue is nice enough though; It was clean and food was delivered quickly; It's clear some effort was made for the decor, and the staff were very friendly; The booking process was also very easy. Don't plan on returning though; its a shame because I really wanted to like this place. Some days they do 50% off food and maybe *then* it would be worth trying, but I still don't think I'd have been drawn back.

Really want to support and enjoy this place. But unfortunately despite new ownership, the food remains underwhelming and bland. Service was great. Staff all very friendly.

Very good food, and very friendly staff

Seems to have lost the plot. Table for two on a Sunday where only 4 or 5 other small groups were sat. One starter went to "the wrong table" which took half an hour to figure out, and our mains took over an hour to arrive. Not worth the hassle. Edit: we probably won't be going back, this is the second time we've had a bad time. Discounts are no good if two starters and two mains can't be served in 90 minutes.

The food is beyond amazing….. every morsel is fabulous! It’s sad its sister restaurant shut down but nice to see the bombettas on the menu. The only thing I would say is being told that an “old fashioned” was not available as a drink option when it’s not that hard to “make” was rather odd. Either implies the wait staff couldn’t be bothered asking the bar staff or the bar staff aren’t prepared to do the basics in cocktails….

Under new management now so good food at a reasonable price, unlike before. Decent serving sizes also, not 🐜 portions. Chef took good care of us. Good stuff 👌

It is under new ownership since October and value for money has definitely improved. Portion sizes are good and food is freshly prepared. There was an issue with some dishes being under seasoned but once we added a little bit of salt and pepper the flavours were good. The feedback was well received and hopefully will be acted on. Victor (new owner) came out to speak to guest and is very enthusiastic. Will be back.

Everything was wonderful and delicious. The dishes we ordered and those going to other tables were also fantastic. Both the starters we chose and the main courses 🫠The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The staff were very friendly, too. I can't wait to visit again, but this time, I'll wait for warmer weather so I can sit in their lovely garden 🤭.

We had a wonderful wedding lunch at Arte e Pasta. The food was absolutely delicious, drinks were perfect - including a special gin ‘mocktail’ as I don’t drink. All our guests had a really great time. And staff were particularly accommodating of our varied small children and their highchair / plain pasta / buggy parking needs! We went for lunch just the two of us a few months in advance and were able to taste lots of different options and put together a bespoke menu for our guests. We then made changes to the exact number of guests and their dietary requirements until very late on with no problem at all. The whole process was super straightforward - communication was excellent throughout. We felt very looked after and had a truly special and memorable meal. Thank you! 🥰

IT’S A CON! On the face of it, a delightfully buzzy, authentic Italian in the heart of Walthamstow. The reality: an extortionate, overly lengthy menu that didn’t match up - leaving E17 *still* lacking a decent trattoria. Things that were bad: - we were given the wrong menus (!) and only realised when we saw things on other tables that we didn’t expect to see. - it took 30 mins / 500ml of wine to be told that our pasta main was no longer available. - these were forgivable offences, as explained below. However the food really didn’t hit the mark. - the smoked burrata antipasti was almost £12, and was simply a lump of it presented with some dill oil. Additional bread was £4.50… come on. - the salsiccia piccante salad, frankly was odd. About 8 slices of the sausage (delicious enough) was ruined by the addition of Granny Smith apple slices and salad from a bag. Weird. Also pricy. - the polenta with smoked red papers and onions (how could you go wrong) was more like tiny slices of left over pimento from the bottom of the olive jar you’ve got in your fridge. Again, nothing to really eat the polenta with here. - finally our pasta main, potato stuffed tortellini with truffle sage butter sauce. Well, very thick with an odd pastey texture - I suspect it was frozen. The sauce looked a bit like mushroom soup from a can - not what you expect. - Everything was drastically under seasoned. Remarkable for an Italian pasta place. (?) it was as if the chef thought replacing the salt with balsamic vinegar on everything was a good idea. - we only agreed to pay for the salad, polenta and burrata listed above, as well as 500ml of house white and no service charge. It came to over £50 for two people. It’s eye-wateringly overpriced. The good: - the menu mixup was handled very well and we were offered anything we wanted and / or another carafe of wine. - the staff really were lovely and made the process of complaining slightly less skin crawlingly awkward. - the focaccia was delicious. If this place was a bakery I’d come for that. Although again - MORE SALT!! The chef needs to cut the menu in half and focus on doing simple achievable things well. If you want to import your food from Italy, fine, but show it off, there is also great local produce one could use to make great Italian food. Save your pennies and go to Stokey or Highbury. (Yes - plenty of cheaper options that are fabulous).

Went for a friend's 70th. 17 of us had sharingbplatters. Lovely food and fantastic service.

Nice building, very friendly and welcoming. Sunday afternoon late lunch planned and although only two tables taken and staff outnumbering customers, service was painfuly slow. The menu included "ravioli" which both my wife and I chose. After 45 minutes we were served with one "Raviolo". No metion that it was the only item included with no side or garnish. For what was served and the tme taken, woefully inadequate, dissapointing and overpriced. Very embarrasing for our hosts

Went for a meal here and was delighted with the food, service and friendliness of the staff. Excellent main course and starters plus dessert was amazing, we were still talking about it 2 days later! We loved the space, really well organised and lovely lighting. Totally recommend it and will definitely be going back. We parked easily as local restrictions not in place in the evening.

We had a nice time at Arte E Pasta. The atmosphere is dimly lit and looks quite romantic. We managed to get a table without booking and the staff was really welcoming. I tried a Spinash and Ricotta raviolo in a butter and sage sauce. You could feel that the ingredients was a really good quality and felt aurentic however, I would really recommend having a starter and a dessert as the main dish in itselft was not quite filling.

It's on our doorstep, What's not to love. Lovely food, hand made pasta and bread. Limited but interesting menu. Vegetarians and vegans have several choices. Wine list is on the expensive side. Good choice of cocktails. Best with a group as there several sharing plates available. Enjoy.

Today is my second visit to Arti. After placing our order ,while we were waiting for the food 3 customers came in with their French bulldog. The 3 waitresses went to stroke the dog and make a fuss of it. I would have expected the 3 staff to wash their hands before proceeding with their work.However, this was not the case .One of them went straight behind the bar to prepare cocktails . One went to get the dog a drink .She was rubbing the dogs dish with her hand . The third one went straight to the kitchen to bring us our food. I explained to her that I would have expected them to wash their hands after stroking the dog as they did. She agreed. We took the decision to leave the restaurant at this point. I am not against animals as we have 3 French bulldogs ourselves but believe that there are hygiene standards that need to be followed in a restaurant. We were surprised to see that the dog was being allowed to stay in the restaurant with its owners.

I tried the week night set menu for a birthday treat and the food was incredible, portions great for the price and service amazing. There was some heartfelt birthday singing around the celebratory dessert which added a special touch. Highly recommend. There were vegan options for each course too.

I've been meaning to write this review for weeks. My partner and I had our wedding breakfast here back in September and it was faultless! A feasting menu that our guests continue to rave about! The service was fantastic and the venue perfect for a celebration! Massive thank you to Ben and his team. A day to remember!

We live round the corner so have been here a couple of times. The food is amazing - especially the beef ragu tagliatelle. Annoyingly though, it never comes out together - I get they're trying for a tapasy feel, but you can often get one person finishing their meal before others have even been served. Ambience can be a bit hit and miss - lovely in the evening but likely to be sat next to a noisy family at lunch or weekends. Main grumble is price. A reasonable amount of food and a few drinks can easily set you back £100 per person. Even with the great food there's just no way it's value for money - I've never left without feeling a bit ripped off.

Brilliant Italian dishes and wonderful service. Pasta is very authentic and salads have a real freshness. Go and eat here - you won’t be disappointed.
