I had some time before my meeting in Soham, so decided to stop for a quick lunch. Ordered omelette with cheese and mushrooms. Was pleasantly surprised that I could order food from the breakfast menu even though it was afternoon and time for lunch. The food was really good and tasty, and coffee was a nice addition to the late afternoon breakfast. Prices were good, paid for everything under 12 pounds for one person. Probably if next time I'll be on Soham I would visit this place once more.

I visited Aroma Cafe in Soham on Sunday morning and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, my son enjoyed the waffle - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served with a generous helping of ice cream and syrupy toppings. However, I was disappointed with the so-called Smashed Avocado on Toast. Instead of fresh avocado, it was topped with a slimy, guacamole-like sauce that lacked freshness and flavour. The bread was a plain white from a supermarket loaf and barely toasted, making the dish even more unappealing. Additionally, it was hard to discern whether the accompanying egg was fried or poached due to its preparation. The most frustrating part of the experience was the exceptionally long wait time for our food. Despite the café being nearly empty, with only one other table that already had their meals, it took over 30 minutes for our order to arrive. This was surprising, considering we were the only table with an order in the kitchen. Overall, while the waffle was a saving grace, the subpar Avocado on Toast and the lengthy wait time left me feeling unsatisfied with my visit to Aroma Café. I hope the management can address these issues to improve the dining experience for future customers.

We popped in for a coffee, and were very pleased to find such a pleasant place tucked away in Soham. The croissants were lovely (fresh baked) and the coffee / tea was great. The cafe felt spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated, including a section for kids to play in (separate from the main food area, very sensible). We liked the idea of bring a book / leave a book as a good way to encourage swaps too. The staff member was very polite and helpful too.

The Yard has got to be one of the best additions to Ely. It has a really lovely relaxing vibe about it. The team is always so friendly and attentive, too. We quite often pop in for coffee. We've enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner on many occasions. The menu has a good selection for everyone to enjoy. It's been really good to see The Yard evolve from when it first opened. The addition of roller doors has made it a great place to escape bad weather. The Nordic Pods are fabulous. We were lucky enough to book a pod for Boxing Day. They are warm, comfortable and so cosy on a cold day. The Yard hosts plenty of events and themed evenings. We especially like the silent speed quiz on Wednesdays. Well done to at The Yard for creating such a wonderful place that is enjoyed by all in the community.
