Aroma in Cardiff

Beware of buying food over the weekend/bank holiday. Sausage bap was rock hard and inedible. Staff said that it is meant to be so!!! It's not like it's the first one I have eaten here! Anywhere else, an apology would have been forthcoming.

awful coffee, doesn't matter what you order you'll get the same drink made with scolding milk and weak coffee.

I just had breakfast here Quick service Flat white coffee good But the sausage bap was extremely salty that a person like me on blood pressure tablets is absolutely unhealthy Disappointed

I am writing this review as currently not impressed……. Firstly- the new loyalty app is not adding on points so not getting anything for my loyalty!!!! Secondly- I was shouted at by a guy the other night as they were closing early due to short staff but there were 8 people in the que. I understand about being short staffed but they are in a hospital, I rushed from work for visiting, very anxious as husband in surgery that day, and didn’t appreciate being made to feel like I’d done something wrong in front of a lot of people.

I have to agree with some of the reviews for this cafe. Someone needs to train these members of staff or re-recruit. Staff members need a massive reminder of where they work and what sort of situations their customers may be going through. They are very loud for one, but I've heard so many swear words and crude jokes towards each other having been here for only a day. They need to grow up, they are not on a night out and this needs to be addressed.

Please remind your staff they are working in a hospital. Visitors can be upset, sad, confused and would like to be served with politeness and dignity. Although the hot tea served was lovely, it was a shame the atmosphere let it down. After starting to eat and drink, we were asked very abrasively to move to a different area of the cafe in order for them to clean the floors and tables. He then proceeded to drag tables and chairs across the concourse floor. The noise was excruciating and extremely upsetting for patients and their visitors. Maybe cleaning regularly throughout the day would be more beneficial than moving 30 or more people to the 'clean' side of the restaurant only to have to clean that side at a later time.

We were forced to use this coffee place at concourse due to it being the only one open, it was quite busy which was understandable. We ordered a large cappuccino and an iced coffee. After I ordered, I asked for a straw which I was told "there isn't any" sadly after many attempts I was unable to drink an iced coffee without one and wasn't told about this beforehand. The cappuccino also was VERY weak, milk on its own would've had more flavour! Disappointed with the stages attitude also when I was polite and stated I was unhappy. I paid by card but was given a cash refund. Will not ever be returning!

Members of the staff don't know what they are doing.... waste of time. I don't recommend it, it's a waste of time.

I love Aroma coffee, however I can't believe that you do not do the Rustic egg roll 😱😩

So disappointing that Aroma continue to fail to provide appropriate allergy-friendly food. Time to step up a few gears please #Aroma. Let's see you become a real support to all of us living with allergies please!

Lovely coffee shop great coffee, hot chocolate, muffins and food Wish they were more widely available. A lot cheaper than Costa and better

I had a tuna melt, pepperoni melt and BBQ chicken melt all heated to perfection with a bottle of fresh orange and carrot juice to wash it all down. £10:00 for the lot!! Staff friendly and efficient.

Coffee is served far too hot. Sausage bab was great, but discussed that when I asked for a sachet of brown sauce, I was told that it was 30p something that is free in any other restaurant or snack bar, absolute rip off.

When visiting have been for months now always have to wait for a table why would you block off a whole section right at the start of visiting hours then have a very bad attitude telling people not to sit there

Terrible flat white, weak and boiling hot, burnt my mouth, asked them if they could make it the right temperature and I was offered cold milk on top of the current one (I didn’t want it to be any weaker thanks) Not sure if this place is linked to aroma in Cowbrige and Bridgend because their coffee is awful too. Won’t be returning even though they did remake it - it was still weak 😖

Pay your money and take pot luck when you get served,jut because you are at the head of the queue doesn't mean you will get served first

Bacon rolls are great, but the Americano coffee was so weak it tasted like cheap instant coffee. Worst Americano I've had.

Really decent coffee, good prices. Tried a bannoffee muffin recently - blew me away. Really nice. Sandwiches are not bad either.

At last a place to get good tea after the rubbish that Starbucks make. Had both the English Breakfast Tea and hot chocolate which I add a dusting of dark chocolate powder to. Both drinks nice, but the chocolate with the dark chocolate powder WOW. Would drink here again. They also have a small booth in the main seating area as well as the shop.

Waiting for wife so had a coffe. lets just say it's border Costa.

Best coffee and cake in University Hospital of Wales. Good selection of sandwiches, rols and paninies and other drinks and nibbles. Staff are always very welcoming. Clean and comfortable. Prices are reasonable. Good turnover of people,staff and visitors.

Machine coffee at barista prices....no wonder there was so many sick people about

Can't fault this gem Aroma does a lovely cappuccino and! the carrot cake (gluten free) is 100% the one! My go to when I visit. The staff are amazing too very friendly and make you welcome 😊

I had a coffee and an almond and custard croissant here. The croissant was World standard. In fact until this morning the best croissant I ever had was in Margaret River Bakery Western Australia. Aromass croissant surpassed in quality, size and filling.

If you lad bad coffee, served slowly, by poor staff more interested in talking to each other the Aroma coffee outlets are for you. Poor food left out to go stale or heated up in a microwave so it’s terrible. No competition on site so will only get worse as there isn’t any other options. Best to save your money

Went down from the ward last night (b1) for a coffee with my husband at 6.30 to be told that they were closing as they were short of staff which is not good enough as they were the only place open I was not the only person to ask for coffee not good enough

Recently taken over from Starbucks in the Heath Hospital Concourse. I was hoping to get a danish pastry or Pain aux raisins as I used to from Starbuck but was told they don't sell them for health reasons. I could on the other hand buy a range of huge muffins, cup cakes and cream sponges or from a range of panini and rolls, mostly with fillings consisting of various combinations of bacon, sausage, ham, eggs and cheese. Little healthy at all on offer. Death by cholesterol. The coffee was also meh!

price is an absolute disgrace. quality is incomparable with Starbucks.

What has happened?! Barista coffee from a machine? A regular cup size, now what you would expect an espresso in? Anyway, ordered two "cappuccinos" large (?) and two rustic sausage baps. I was charged over a tenner for the privilege. The Coffee came from a machine and when I asked for chocolate on the cappuccino I was told that "we don't do it". Bring back Starbucks! Better, real coffee, service with a smile and cheaper too.

Aroma coffee neath hospital, really good coffee and great staff, opening times mon- Fri 7am-7pm, Sat&sun 9am-9pm

Ordered a Cheese toastie, toast was hardly toasted and the cheese inside was a cold thin slice of cheese.
