We booked for a large group for tea, sausage rolls, sandwiches and cakes, following a memorial service for my mother. Everything went really smoothly - communication beforehand was great, the food was fresh and looked and tasted lovely, and the service was just the right amount of attentive. It was a warm morning and the cafe was pretty busy but still a few vacant tables. Nice atmosphere. I waited a while to be seen, the staff were very apologetic. I ordered a fruit scone and tea. Both tasty, and think the jam may have been homemade 😋- brought to the table quickly too, which was a bonus! Will be back to sample a cake or two!

Beautiful lunch, I had a baguette, my son had the soup and sandwich combo. Also very nice coffee. Mushroom and bacon soup was amazing! Baguette so well filled I really had to study the correct way to eat it and son’s chicken sandwich was again well filled & declared ‘fab’. We’d had a full morning golfing and this really hit the spot, many thanks.

Visited twice for breakfast and sneaky cake . Nice cafe close to lighthouse and golf course/range. Handy for caravan park at Silversands Breakfast was nice ,good quality ingredients, cooked well ,friendly service, cakes to go were very nice also if a little expensive £5 each . Would recommend for breakfast good choice of lunch items also but came for breakfast so did not sample Slightly pricey perhaps for breakfast especially if doing substitutions but reflected in quality of ingredients.ability to swap items on breakfast menu would be nice ie 7 item breakfast as not especially keen on tomato or black pudding but like haggis which can’t be swapped but added at extra cost or would give 5 star rating as very nice breakfast

I was recommended the cafe by friends who are local to the area, so was keen to try. I ordered coffee and a 'slice' of chocolate cake. As I waited for my order, I noticed the food other people were served, and could see lovely baguettes etc being delivered to their tables, and whilst I didn't have one myself they looked delicious and I'd say reasonable value for money at around £9.00 +. With hindsight I wished I'd had a baguette rather than the cake served as it was very disappointing. In fact I'd say it was a slither not a slice and was a little tough around the edges. Based on 8" 2 tier sandwich cake, you'd normally get 15-20 portions, if they serve everyone the size of slice I received for £4.25 they will almost certainly exceed 30 slithers and have done very nicely! The service was friendly, though not overly speedy by comparison to the number of people eating etc, though I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't really matter, if you are in hurry or simply impatient it may well do. The cafe, allows for dogs outside, but not in the cafe, though unless you had checked before on the website etc there is no info on the doors informing you either way, given the post Covid everyone's got a dog era it's always good to know these things esp when it comes to outside table service and ordering. Would I go back... possibly, but not for cake!

Had a meal here at the weekend for which we had pre-booked our table. We ordered our food and the waitress went away with our order only to immediately come back again to ask for payment. Wasn’t overly keen on paying at this time but she said they do this so people don’t have to wait to pay after their meal, strange!! Anyway I paid and after a wait our food came and by gosh it was well worth the wait. I had the baked tattie with smoked haddock & parsley sauce, WOW it was beautiful. At our table there was also an egg sandwich and an afternoon tea, all food was delicious. Although I wasn’t too keen on paying 2 minutes after ordering, especially as it didn’t appear other tables were doing this as we seen the card machine being taken to them after their meals, this would certainly not put me off returning. I am very much looking forward to my next visit.

The place is beautiful! Although as we walked in the lady told us strictly and firmly (so we couldn’t complain) that due to Covid there maybe a wait up to 20 minutes. After 20 minutes or so I asked where my drinks where (two waters and two other cold drinks) to be told ‘that’s why we say there will be a wait!’ cold drinks too?? ... too worried to ask again we then waited just over 45 minutes for our lunch which were sandwiches. They were nice (the macaroni cheese on the kids menu was not nice, overcooked pasta in too much cheese - left uneaten) but tainted with the wait and the stress of staff, which by the way there were plenty of. The restaurant was not full and we strongly felt that Covid was a poor excuse. This was not a comfortable lunch at all which was a shame as the place is remarkably pretty and the cakes, had we have had wanted to stay longer, looked delicious. Such a shame as my friend lives nearby and was wanting to return. Honestly don’t think she will now.

I absolutely loved coming here, we had previously given this place a 5* review however this morning we went for breakfast for the first time since it was re-branded as Twenty Nineteen.Although there weren't many customers in, service was quite slow. I understand with new procedures in place due to Covid 19 that service will take a little more time due to extra cleaning etc however a couple of workmen arrived to pick up an order however they had a long wait even though they appeared to have specified a time for pick up.I was quite dismayed to have seen that there was no "Scottish breakfast" available anymore however we both ordered the Twenty Nineteen breakfasts instead. We had quite a long wait and when it did arrive, we were quite disappointed with it. The poached eggs were more like over-boiled and solid, we had to use our napkins to soak up the water from the egg and mushrooms that was running all over the plates. Unfortunately for me, my bacon was so solid that when I was struggling to cut into it my knife suddenly slid and knocked one of my sausages, tomato and black pudding flying off the plate onto the floor. I said to the waitress what had happened and left feeling quite embarrassed at leaving such a mess behind. We did eat it (well, what was left of it) but that's only because we had travelled from Aviemore to Lossiemouth specifically to go for breakfast. It's so unfortunate when places as good as Aroma was slowly go downhill when they're taken over by new owners. We'll not be hurrying back.

Due to social distancing there is much less tables inside and a few outside also but was not very busy. Our order was taken, we all had afternoon tea. Our drinks arrived 20 minutes later, our food arrived after a 1 hour wait - no exaggeration! I ordered new drinks as obviously we were finished them before the food arrived, the drinks still had not arrived when we had finished our food so I just cancelled them! The food was lovely, well presented and tasted great. I wouldn’t have stayed had we been told there would be such a wait. Lots of staff so I’m not sure what the problem was. Not worth the wait at all.

Service was very poor .....seemingly overstaffed but not with staff who appreciated customers need serving. Rather chatting amongst themselves, poor attitudes and shrugged shoulders, children playing behind the serving counter, staff who couldn't remember what was ordered, and such inefficiency it was sad to see young staff presumably without proper training about what they were to do .

The food and service were great...couldn’t fault it. I’d recommend the haggis and cheese baguette...yum! Loads of space for parking and had enough space to accommodate a pram at the table without too much moving around.

Well what can I say, slightly disappointing. Arrived to a busy cafe, as it was mother’s day so upon arrival being told there would be about a 45 min wait for meals I thought surely that will be for cooked meals as we had already decided to have the afternoon tea plate and plating up a couple sandwiches and cakes surely doesn't take 45 mins. Oh how wrong we were. Sat down, ordered three of these and waited and waited and waited. Our drinks arrived very promptly but after an hour waiting for the food our drinks were well and truly finished by then so in turn forcing us to re-order. As we still waited another table who had sat down 20 minutes AFTER us started to receive their food, really?! So after an hour and ten minute wait our food arrived. It was ok, my daughter ordered the deluxe option which came with a shot of soup, it seemed to have a funny after taste like it was starting to turn so she didn’t eat it. I totally understand at busy times there will be a wait as it’s all freshly prepared but surely not over an hour for a sandwich and a couple of homebakes. Won’t be rushing back unfortunately.

We celebrated my son’s 1st birthday party at Aroma and everyone had a wonderful time. The adults were wowed by the afternoon tea which was just amazing, the kids had their own special platter each with lots of exciting treats and the healthier option for my 1yr old was presented so nicely aswell. I can’t thank the staff enough for making the party feel so relaxed, they were all so helpful and friendly. We really had a lovely afternoon, and will look back on the memories very fondly.

Very tasty brunch, the meat eaters enjoyed tastiest turkey broth ever and scrumptious beef sandwiches. I had the absolutely delicious cheese scone which I often have as a take away as they are so good. Girls as lovely and chatty as ever and restaurant busy despite dull January day. Cakes looked delicious but all too full to be tempted.

Visited for lunch today. The Xmas lunch rush was on, the restaurant was packed full, we had a short wait for a table. The two lady owners were the only front of house staff serving diners......hence the title Superwomen. They were attending to a full restaurant but still had time to have a few words for regulars. They are a credit to their business.........other restaurants in the area need to take note.

My wife and I visited this Cafe today. Upon entering the place was extremely busy. We were lucky enough to get a seat but it was next to the door. What with the windy weather outside, every time someone left or came through the door, it was freezing! Dampened the experience a little bit.

Had a lovely get together today with a dear friend, we have been mates since school and don't meet up very often. We had a lovely lunch and endless amounts of tea and chat. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great display of cakes with real cream, none of your synthetic rubbish, of course we had to sample them! A really lovely place, welcoming atmosphere and hope to come back again. Thank you.

Went last night and ordered large haddock supper single scampi two chips cheese curry sauce. Also a pickled onion. Waiting in queue the portions of food looked great getting boxed up for customers. Number 26 was called and we happily headed off to enjoy. Disaster! One not very large Haddock Supper! NO Scampi...another small single fish? NO pickled onion but a gherkin! Where did you guys get it wrong? Did you not understand Scottish? Or is it just another case of ripping off the tourist?

Our B&B host recommended the place so we give it a try. We started with the locally famous cullen skink that was one of the best we had in Scotland. My wife took the Scottish chicken and I went for the deep-fried Scottish prawns. Both were tasty and fine. Portions were generous so we skipped the dessert. Nice settings, friendly staff , reasonable prices.

I bought lunch here today and really wish I hadn’t bothered, the soup was supposed to be cream of mushroom but was anything but creamy. It was this with really large pieces of mushroom which were difficult to eat with a spoon. The cheese scone was a strange colour and had a really weird taste. It used to be a great place to eat but was sold recently and is to be avoided. I will not return!
