Arlington Brasserie in Norwich

Booked for lunch here with a friend. The lady on reception was unwelcoming and vague about our booking. So immediately we felt uncomfortable. There was confusion about where our table was then finally we were seated at a small table which looked as if it had been pushed to one side. Nothing else available. An open jug of water was on the table, when we asked for it to be replaced, the rude non verbal communication was enough for us. We left!

We stopped here for something to eat on the way home from the cinema. Several people had told us how good it was but despite living within 10 minutes walk we had never been. Having now done so we will definitely be going back. The menu has something for everyone from panini's for about £8 to Steaks at about £25 and decent vegetarian and vegan options. The food was excellent as was the service. We were looked after mostly by Josh who was friendly, polite and attentive but not overbearing and I was very impressed with the effort he put in to making sure my beer was perfect when the beer tap/keg was playing up. There were plenty of staff and the service from all of them was excellent. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get to by car from the ring road and is just a short walk from the city centre. I would thoroughly recommend whether for a light snack or something more formal and we are planning to return shortly to try one of their Sunday roasts.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Arlington Bistro. We booked a table to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary (this was were they had their wedding reception) a table of 8 on a Saturday evening. I brought some balloons in to be put on the table in the afternoon prior and when we arrived not only did they have these out they had added some extra decorations. A lovely touch! Food was great my mum being a vegetarian and sister being celiac staff were very knowable on menu options. Staff were also very covid conscious all in masks when now not mandatory. Service was amazing we were so well looked after nothing was too much. They even comped my parents main meals! Such a beautiful gesture. Thanks soooo much for making their evening so special. Special thanks to the manager who served us all evening (didn't catch his name) he was fab!

Me alojé en el hotel por 3 noches y no sabía sobre el programa "Comer fuera para ayudar" en el momento de la reserva. Aunque estaba al máximo de su capacidad, el personal lo manejó muy bien y la calidad de la comida no sufrió en absoluto. Excelente esfuerzo en circunstancias tan difíciles, ¡Brillante!

Una noche en el hotel. Restaurante usado tanto para la cena y el desayuno. Me he alojado aquí antes, así estándar normal de la comida y el servicio.

I was staying in the the George Hotel and decided to eat here. The staff are friendly and polite, the food tastes great and is well presented and they have some good beers on tap, I would highly recommend.

I just had a party to celebrate with friends and family my dad's 70th birthday. The food was delicious, exquisite in fact. We organised a 3 course menu with choices for our 26 guests to select and we were delighted with the results. From the very start, Julie the manager and Jane the COnference and Banqueting Manager were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The chef was so patient with our fussy guests with dietary needs, he was really accommodating. The table was so beautifully dressed for a party, they even allowed us to bring our own decorations to add to the ambience. The service, the setting the staff, all was faultless and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We are mostly Norwich born and bred as well as having invited guests from all around the country, equally they all had a great time and loved the party and food. I would say the food was at a high end brasserie level, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Norwich. It has a car park and perfect to meet with family and friends. Thank you to all the Best Western George Hotel Team for making this party so memorable for all the right reasons!
