Ark has great coffee and delicious cakes but is also becoming a Cultural Hub - where people come to chat, exchange tips for films, tv, books, places to enjoy good coffee. Julia and Alex are great barista and great hosts. We are locals and regularly meet interesting people to chat to. Very dog friendly too.

This compact welcoming coffee shop is run by two of the nicest people you will ever find who also happen to be brilliant baristas and very welcoming hosts. From cappuccino to matcha Tea Latte. From flat white to stunning espresso. All beautifully prepared and served and delicious. Alex and Julia also source some amazing cakes and pastries. Vinyl and art for sale add to the sense of the owners being dedicated to a good visitor’s experience. Right opposite the swimming pool slightly outside tye main drag but well worth a visit.

Nice little independent coffee shop wide range of drinks also Vinyl records. The iced coffee was good, and I loved the twice baked almond croissant. I still have time waiting for my wife to finish in Pinkies, so I had a latte and chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie. It's very nice. Both cakes are homemade , believe

A lovely little spot with even lovelier staff! I have become somewhat of a frequent visitor of this gem and each time I am greeted with a warm welcome, a spectacular coffee, and some pretty groovy tunes! Set just back from the seafront, Ark is the perfect place to stop in for an expertly prepared coffee, or to grab a hot beverage whilst passing through, and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

I found this place on Instagram or rather it found me, as it popped up as a recommendation. And boy am I glad it did! First of all, it’s not on the high street in Whitstable (which itself is starting to annoy me recently), but in a quiet area between the Harbour and the Castle. Yes, Whitstable has a castle too! As you walk in, there are some records on the wall and I quickly found that this place sales some music also. It’s mostly bands the owners like so not a huge selection but there is some good stuff there. Sadly some Red Hot Chilli Peppers too but hey… can’t have it all! They have a “coffee and cake deal” which I took up because well, I’m a sinner. Not like James Intveld but I do like cake. The coffee was a blessing on that gloomy day. It made me smile. Well extracted espresso from locally roasted beans (just down the road) and smooth froth which made me want seconds… But I didn’t get seconds because I am trying to repent. I’ll be back though and I know I’m being cheeky now but I hope the place stays quiet so I can have another good chat with Julia and Alex, who are good people! I jest. Go visit. You’ll like it! Shout out to the Ark. long may she sail!

Just attended their fine dinning night. Again the food was exceptional, who would have thought that a plant based meal could possibly be this good. My meat eating friends were overwhelmed by such a sensational meal , such incredible tasting food and would definitely go again and again. The Wallflower deserves to be full of customers every day. Don't miss out, this place is something not to be missed. The staff were brilliant as usual. Thank you, we look forward to the next special evening.

I visited Saucy Flo's with my wife on one of it's steak nights. We both had the Galican fillet and I can honestly say it was the best steak I have ever eaten. The quality of the local produce is amazing and coupled with the reasonable price, it just can't be beaten. It's rare to get such a great standard of food and good portions too. The waiting staff were so friendly and there was a lovely informal atmosphere. But the star of the show was definitely the food! We just about had enough room for puddings and managed to squeeze in a peach and blackberry cobbler and a chocolate brownie and both were delicious. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
