Went Saturday night for a couple of drinks and we came out 3hours later, karaoke girl has a great country voice, staff were nice and friendly always clearing up and keeping the place tidy, good night will be back again

Went for a drink, good service and choice of drink, along with Sky TV. Food is not served every day.

Didn't eat here. Seating and how the place looked were nice. Some good music videos playing on the TV. What really let it down was the extremely loud 40 year old music they were playing. It was so loud it was beyond the capability of their speakers so gave all that distorted vibratory sound, really bad. I would have preferred to listen to the TV music. Won't be going again, my ears are still recovering.

Very dog friendly bar which is ideally positioned to enjoy the sun on the balcony area watching the world on the High Street go by! My dog loves it as much as me!

Cool venue, popped in on karaoke nite. Some great singer's some not so but great fun . Highly recommend a vist,if your in the area and up for fun .

We came here for the Karaoke, a great atmosphere, not too busy and the place was very clean. We loved every minute of it.

Popped in for a quick drink. Left couple of hours later after best night in a pub for ages. Karaoke - Dj had amazing voice. All the customers flooded in early ready for a good night and great atmosphere! We felt very welcome.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Just popped in for a quick pint to find very nice member of staff & a well presented bar. 4 of us would prob have stayed for a few but shut early on a Tuesday.

Good venue with a good atmosphere. Thought we would eat here and have a few drinks however the incredibly rude (older) bar lady completely put us off and we decided to have one drink and get out of there. It was like everything was too much trouble, she argued with my partner about nothing and then looked at us like we were on the bottom of her shoe. What a shame as it looks like it could be a fun night and had some sound people inside watching the football.

I think Archie's is now the oldest bar in Prestatyn! And it's survived for good reason 👍🏻 It's got that 'established' feel going that makes it feel like somewhere you always end up on a night out in the town 😁

The bar was closed for a wedding reception but the lovely Manager said we could stay for few drinks until the wedding party arrived! We probably would of stayed all day otherwise 🤪 highly recommended, friendly bar with lovely staff!

Stopped here on 2 seperate occasions for a drink, lovely raised terrace overlooking street, covid safe, reasonable price drinks, recommend you call in.

Have been here a lot of times, and can truly say it's a good etery, steak 2 for £20, and a bottle of wine thrown in too, best on Prestatyn High Street,

I always come here for a drink when in Prestatyn lovey place very friendly food looks lovely but, always a but, I went in sat night just for a couple of pints. Went in again Sunday afternoon for a couple, overnight the price of the same beer went up 50a pint. I don’t see how this can be justified. So after a pint I went into another pub ( not as nice) and paid 70p a pint cheaper

Only been to the upper floor, a live band was on this night. The band was good but music too loud for me, you could not talk with anybody. Just me may be, I like my ears working fine & a chat with people. Good bar

Was just passing, but was compelled to go inside because the friendly atmosphere could be felt on the pavement outside. Was not proved wrong, as was met by very friendly staff, and the beer prices were much cheaper than expected, because the bar gives off a wine bar vibe, and wine bars can be a tad exorbitant. Furnished were modern, trendy and very comfortable, with huge patio door keeping the interior cool and giving the impression that you are sitting al fresco even though you are still indoors. There is a pavement decking area, which is greta for people watching. We did not eat, but we did notice other people's meal, and they looked great. Next time, eh? Toilets very clean. Really can't wait to go back and do it all over again!

Weve visited Archie's a few times just for a few drinks and we decided to go for the meal deal they have on a Wednesday thurs and Friday, 20£ for steak for 2 and a bottle of the house wine! Its def worth it! Steak was nicely seasoned and cooked to our liking, proper homemade chunky chips, peas, fresh mushrooms and onion rings, and we ordered sauce which was £2 I had diane and OH had pepper, they were lovely! Hubby liked the house red which is a bonus as hes a fussy bugger when it comes to his wine, i had rose which was a bit dry for me but drinkable! Plus wat you dont drink you can take home with you! Staff were friendly and atmosphere in the pub was relaxed and warm!! SO DEF WORTH A VISIT! 😁😁😁

Always stop off here on a Saturday afternoon between pubs ( The old folks can't make it to the top in one go so they can have a bit of a breather ) Been some time since I have had food here but the beer is fine.

Whenever in Prestatyn I always call in for a pint or two.it looks more like a cafe from outside but inside they do a few local real ales,after all it is in the GBG. Never eaten there but food looks quite nice. Lovely decking area outside to watch the world go by.

Found this little gem last minute. Had roast dinner here and it was amazing. Food was so fresh and hot. Beef just melted in the mouth. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Really relaxed atmosphere as well.

So, we came in knowing we were allowed to use our Tastecard here, and told them we had one when we phoned to book. When ordering desserts, we were then informed that the Tastecard only applied to mains, which is not the terms of a Tastecard, which we looked up on the Tastecard website specifically for this restaurant. We then said we would use our Meerkat meals, and once again were told that it only applied to mains, even though the terms and conditions of Meerkat Meals stated that it should on starters, mains and desserts. All steaks came incorrectly. The 2 that were ordered as medium came well done, and the one that was ordered as well done came as medium. We know this as the 2 ’medium’ ones had requests to not have certain things with them, such as no mushrooms. We also ordered 2 peppercorn sauces that we had to wait for as they forgot about them. Honestly, we came here as my sister is having a double mastectomy next week and it’s the only time we can get together as a family. It’s been a terrible meal and we will never return.

Food is always lovely & is of generous proportions. Staff are friendly & helpful. Archie’s is a lovely venue for food or just for some drinks.

Food was well presented. My personal favourites are the Creamy Garlic Mushrooms or their stroganoff 👍

Popped in to escape the rain as an alternative to the usual chains. Waitress was so attentive and polite even though we were only having a few starters as a snack. Food was great quality and we’ll certainly revisit for a full meal next time

Booked a table for a Friday steak night , good job we did as the place was packed , table by the open doors on a hot summer night , 1/2 to 3/4 bottle of wine included with the meal ( I would say around that as was in a Kilner type bottle ) 2 steak meals , proper good chips , mushrooms , peas , tomatoes and onions rings , sauces if required but we didn’t , all for £20 , steaks are quite thin but I always go for the 1 under how you like it cooked so rare turned out medium rare , wife had medium rare and was medium , very nice though and you can’t expect a doorstep steak x2 and wine for £20 , service was superb , quick and friendly and as only the one lady serving did a superb job , the only reason I knocked a star off ( and if you read my reviews I very rarely leave a 5 ) as we were sitting by the windows / french doors , when people started smoking on the small balcony it wasn’t very nice , personally I’d ban smoking on the premises altogether and make smokers stand in the road , other non smokers on the balcony moved on as well , and you can’t pay by card , we hadn’t seen any signs up and just managed to scrape the money and tip together , but all in all an excellent meal and night and would definatley recommend

We decided to try a different venue from the William Morgan, due to the fact they had ran out of what we wanted and there was a long wait, even though it was not full. Archie’s bar at the top of the high street is a bit different layout and we were hungry. We were not disappointed. Four of us managed to get a table, there were some reserved tables. Fish and chips, good side and quality fish, lovely large chips, burger with Stilton was very tasty . Service only a bit slow. Very enjoyable food and a good selection. We would return here.

Lovely Sunday Lunch three different veg roast and mashed potatoes and the nicest beef melted has it was cut mouth watering ,the service was excellent great lunch all round will be calling again perfect

Food was excellent. Waiter was very nice, thought we would come back again and again as we were so impressed. Unfortunately on paying the bill, we had our heads bitten off by the young girl behind the bar: we offered her our credit card and were told it was cash only, when we said we hadn’t been told this, she was very sharp and told us she hadn’t served us and our waiter should have told us: it would have been nice if she had apologised about credit cards not being accepted as it was cash only; there wouldn’t have been a problem. We are new residents in Prestatyn and will never go there again.

In Wales on holidays from Ireland and called in here on reviews and was not disappointed, family of 5. Lovely lady attend to us straight away. We had 2 starters between us, nachos and garlic bread with cheese, and both were delicious. Thought the best had arrived but we were wrong, my wife had the fishcakes which were terrific and I had a homemade pie from their list which also was great. The chips that came out too were just delicious, kids had a burger and a pizza. 2 rounds of drinks with 4 mains and 2 starters all very reasonably priced. All couldn't have been better, so much so we booked to go back again tomorrow for their 2 steaks and bottle of wine for £19 (Wed to Fri), could recommend enough

First time here for food. I had the steak and ale pie. Very tasty. My wife had the chilli. Think i would get the chilli next time. Had a lovely kick! They do a curry night on a Tuesday and steak night Wednesday, Thursday and Friday which seems really good value. Will definitely go back again.

Having read other reviews I went for Sunday lunch with friends. The staff and service were good as were the surroundings. Two of us had the Sunday roast. The beef was slightly tough but there was a fair selection of potatoes and veg provided.

Stopped here to have a spot of lunch.. and because Archie is the name of our fur baby.. destined.. what a lovely place.. nice friendly atmosphere.. the food was lovely.. so much so that I said to compliment the chef.. (which I don’t do very often) the service was fab too.. can’t fault it

Just had our Steak Night deal which is £19.95 for 2 people for a rib eye steak, including all the trimmings and complimentary bottle of wine. Can’t recommend enough absolutely delicious, service great and lovely atmosphere. Really cosy too with all the candle lit tables, ideal mid-week treat!!!!

Went to Archie’s Bar on High Street Prestatyn with a view of having a meal with my wife and having some drinks. Nice lady behind the bar served drinks. Went and sat down at a table in an area reserved for diners with a view to ordering some food. A very rude waitress reprimanded my wife for sitting at a table with a reserved sign on it. The place was virtually empty however she did so in front of other customers. My wife was made to feel extremely embarrassed and unwelcome. We are not the type to cause a scene. The woman eventually approached us in an area we were allowed to sit and with an abrupt manner said “do you want to eat” I said no and we finished our drinks and left. This lady is in her late 60s and I couldn’t believe how awful and unwelcoming she was. Lost the bar about £100 in business.

lively and comfy bar on the high street with good selection of ales, lagers and gins, food available but not eaten here myself. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest as would be expected in Prestatyn - well worth the visit!
