We have been coming here pretty much every month (sometimes more than once a month) for about 5 years now and we will never EVER get sick of Archers, we have never had a bad visit in all these years. We live right the other end of Lancaster and would always much rather travel 20 minutes or so to this cafe instead of visiting somewhere in the town centre, it will never be beaten in our eyes! The staff are ALWAYS so hard working, so welcoming, and so inviting, they always remember us and take the time out of their busy schedule to have a quick chat and greet our two dogs (who are also HUGE fans of Archers). The outdoor area for people with dogs is so well taken care of and it’s obvious they have put so much effort in to make it look nice and comfortable, even in the colder seasons. They’ve recently put a little bell thing on the gate so you don’t have to go inside and queue for an outdoor table - so helpful & a nice idea. The food is utterly out of this world, our favourites are the burgers with added Brie and bacon which are totally 10/10, we also get a portion of onion rings which are the tastiest onion rings we’ve ever eaten in our whole lives… delicious! The portions are incredibly generous and everything we’ve ever received is great value for money and if anyone says otherwise they are talking utter nonsense! The coffee is great and we’ve also tried other drinks like milkshakes and iced coffee, all very yummy. We’ve had their home made cakes to take home too and they’ve definitely gone down a treat. We always end our visit with a walk down the beach, you really just can’t complain… the best food, great tasting drinks, lovely staff and the perfect location. Thank you as always, we’ll never stop coming for lunch! Charlotte, Chris & the doggies 🐾 🍔

We were encouraged by those we met in Bolton le Sands to try this cafe. We still had to queue at 2 p.m. for lunch, which shows how popular it is! Lovely staff made us very welcome. Reasonable choice, with more interesting things on the "specials" board. Overall quite expensive, so we shared the cooked breakfast with extra mushrooms, black pudding and home cooked chips. Lovely. The toast came on the toast, so I was able to pour it!

Went today for lunch and was pleased that we could get a table. We sat outside with the dogs. Hubby had the braised lamb and he said it was delicious. I had the flat bread and it was good. The disappointment was the wine it was the very horrible jack rabbit. I have to say though the waitress tried everything she could to get us a drink that we likes she was lovely in fact all the staff are really friendly and professional. It is very busy and has a good reputation quite rightly.

Have visited many times over the years, usually great however top prices paid for something a little bit special however on this occasion my burger was cold and pink. I cut the burger to check temp inside and it was cold. I don’t like to complain as I find it embarrassing however I had to flag down a staff member as they were busy talking. I offered to eat the chips but my plate was whipped away as I was offered another burger I declined somewhat put -off. So they advised they’d knock it off the bill as if they were doing me a favour and I was welcome to order something else but I would need to pay for it? As I am not a habitual complainer I wasn’t sure on the protocol but I kind of think usually places offer another item either a drink, cake or meal off the menu in addition as a goodwill gesture … but instead was met with the chef has probed it and it’s at the right temperature which I found to be somewhat challenging and confrontational.. I won’t return

Went for breakfast after seeing the Hairy Bikers visit. So disappointed as we had our dog with us and we’re only given the option to sit in what appeared to be a petting zoo area. We’ve stayed in five star hotels and eaten in fine dining restaurants with our dogs so at a loss to understand why we were treated like second class citizens at a bog standard cafe.

My wife, myself and a friend had lunch at Archer's cafe recently. My wife had dined a few weeks earlier at this wonderful place. There are two menus and a specials board available for and plenty to choose from! My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich, I had the pulled beef with a stilton sauce sandwich, and our friend had the soup of the Day and an egg mayo sandwich. We finished with coffees and my wife had a scone with jam and clotted cream, and our friend had bowl of vanilla ice cream. The food is delicious and and well prepared. The service is excellent too, and very quick!!! The staff are very professional and most welcoming. There is an excellent view across Morecambe Bay, outside. I would definitely recommend this wonderful cafe for locals and visitors to the area.

We were staying as a family group camping on the site and decided to visit the cafe for breakfast on the last day as we had heard good things. After lots of being messed around with tables - could only have 6 per table but we had more children with us than adults so we were told we couldn’t stay/could stay/couldn’t stay eventually we were allowed to eat! The food was quick and tasty. I had a mini breakfast and the toast was forgotten I asked and was told I couldn’t have extra...I wasn’t asking for extra. We ordered drinks at the table and ended up going to the counter. It was very busy so assume that was the problem with communication so would try this place again but was disappointed.

My boyfriend and I have recently visited Archers on a number of occasions and have been very impressed after every visit, especially given the covid circumstances at the moment - which they adhere to very well and it’s definitely a well cleaned place that follows guidelines which is always good to see! We’ve had a few options to eat such as the breakfasts, burgers and paninis/ciabattas and are yet to try the cakes which look amazing (we are just always too full!!!). Only comment I would make is you have to pay extra to have mushrooms and tomatoes on your breakfast which isn’t a big issue for us and always happy to pay extra if we fancy it. Overall really yummy and tasty food, really friendly staff - especially one lady who was greeting people at the door and doing the track and trace, very happy, smiley, enthusiastic and welcoming. Didn’t get her name but joked about customers not dancing and singing in the cafe, always good to see a friendly staff member. They do one time for afternoon tea, that's 2.30. The place is well thought out, the menu looks delicious and the staff are lovely. We had a choice of cafetiere coffee or several types of tea. It was served a few minutes later followed by the sandwiches and cakes. All were delicious and we were given the choice of a refill of our drink but we were both too full. We'd definitely go there again and would take friends as well.

Attractive Cafe that’s description hides the fact that it’s more of a nice Bistro come Tearoom. The venue is tastefully decorated, clean and rustic. They have a wide ranging menu supplemented by wall mounted specials boards. It is all a bit on the expensive side for this part of the country however. They should provide full table service to justify the prices, instead of the downmarket practice of telling customers to ‘grab any free table and go back to the counter to order’.

This cafe is is in a lovely location, is very comfortable and serves great food at a reasonable price. Owing to this it is very popular and you are effectively privileged to to get a table. The staff are friendly but they don't need to work on customer service - the cafe will almost always be busy. At lunch time today (Sunday) I counted 23 people that came in but left because of the queue whilst I was waiting for a table. Hence, if you don't like waiting and demand great service, don't bother. If you are prepared to wait and to fit in with their system you will be rewarded with great food. That said, it would be helpful for the staff to acknowledge people as they enter and explain that they are happy to wait but there will be a lengthy delay.

After taking a wrong turn down a lane we finally found it and I'm so glad we did, it was very busy when we arrived but we managed to get a seat. The place is a little gem it's beautiful inside. I had the pulled beef sandwich with stilton it was great my mum just opted for a bacon sandwich. A latte and cappuccino. Drinks came fast and food not much after. I thought we would have been waiting longer with how busy it was, but we are never in a rush so wouldn't have minded waiting either. We found everything to be fantastic and even had ice cream, we took these outside as right on the sea front so great views. A regular for years, the last couple of visits have been incredibly disappointing. For example, the chips used to be lovely, chunky home cut ones, but now they are skinny fries, fried to death. The ones served to me today were almost black - they looked like re-fried chips to me, possibly from yesterday. You used to struggle to get seated here, but not anymore. My friends and I have visited Archers a number of times but have not been lately. You do have to get there early or you won’t get a seat as you cannot reserve a table. It is off the beaten track and it is right by the sea shore. The cafe is set in an old barn and it has been tastefully converted. Lots of twinkly lights are everywhere and you have three booths that hold around four people plus other tables and settees in two separate rooms. There is a lot of meat on the menu, however my friend who is a Pescatarian had the Scampi which she exchanged the chips for a jacket. I had the gammon and jacket which was delicious. There was lots of cakes to choose from but we were very full with our mains. (There is also a specials menu) I noticed quite a lot of people queuing up to get a table, however if you book for Afternoon Tea you can reserve your table in advance for 2.30pm. The food prices were average. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can sit outside in the summer and they have various little animals and birds for children to see.

I’ve eaten at Archers a few times and the food has always been good enough.

We just had lunch here. Lovely food served quickly with a beautiful salad and coleslaw garnish. You can go outside to visit the animals. There are ducks, birds very big beautiful rabbits, guineas pigs, pigs and goats. Weather permitting you can eat outside there is a lovely view across the shore and Morecambe bay.

On the shore at Bolton-le-Sands so a little bit off the beaten track, so nice inside and lovely food.

This small restaurant is part of a campsite/caravan site and is for the puplic as well, lots of parking and views of the sea athe food is very good indeed and the home made cakes are amazing, the only down side is it closes at 4pm which is a shame for the campers as they would love to have an eveing meal here.

I have been to the Archers countless times as I live locally and each time i received brilliant service and high quality food at a reasonable price. This visit was for lunch and we arrived before the ‘mad rush’ got there, allowing us to easily find a seat. Not much to choose from if you’re a veggie but it is a farm cafe, which is therefore understandable.

This is the third time that we have attempted to dine here, and again no tables available, they do not accept table bookings , so another wasted journey . Will certainly not be visiting again and wasting my time.

Food was excellent, we had bacon sausage and egg sandwich, very tasty. However we had the dog with us the tables out were plentiful however it started raining heavily. We had to eat our breakfast outside in the pouring rain the staff brought out our meals with coats over their heads.

The food was okay, chips were the highlight as they were homemade! Staff not very helpful and unfriendly. Asked few questions about the food they replied in a very argumentative way…I would describe the customer service as they didn’t want to see you again if I’m being honest! Ate and came back for ice cream and had another unfriendly experience, maybe bcs it was a bit busy? But still no smiles, or greetings. Before We left we needed water but bcs of the experience we didn’t bother to get it from the cafe instead stopped at services on the way home.

Early Fathers day lunch was made special when we both had the salt marsh lamb washed down with a beer. Great food with excellent service. Usually very busy but we visited around 13:30 and allocated a table immediately :-)

We sat in the dog house , all the tables had left over food and plates on them so cleared a table myself , we ordered coffees and a bottle of elderflower these arrived in Paper cups and without a glass , when asked they simply said they had run out of cups and glasses , after 40 minutes I had to chase up the food, scampi and a child’s jacket potatoe, chips and a full English breakfast £32 the food was just ok but I thought expensive for what we got , the sausages had squidgy bits in , I am normally a big fan of archers and I hope that this was just a blip , there was a lot of staff but into seemed very disorganised just not like it has been in the past ,

This was my first visit to the area and I was taken here for lunch. The staff were very polite, cheerful and professional. The menu covered all tastes but the pea and ham soup was recommended by my friend, which I happily ordered. It was delicious; lots of ham and accompanied by a bread roll; the coffee and cake afterwards were great too.

had another lovely lunch here - the only problem is that the place is so popular you sometimes have to wait for a table to become free. The wait is always worth it though because the food is superb

Nice cafe but very noisy and not helped by having totally unnecessary background music on. Could do with some soft furnishings to absorb the noise

The weather had turned very wet and I had my little grandson in his pram Went in to order but was stifling to find vegetarian as I was dripping water in my eyes Girl tried to be helpful but it came across as a bit condescending. When I'd ordered she said sorry cash only. Who does that these days!! So I had to go back into the outing rain. If it was my pace I'd have offered a cup of tea or a towel The young woman who used to be there was lovely It seems to have gone down service wise My friend who can't see well said they were very rude to her too sadly Shane as it's a nice menu and cafe

It has a lovely atmosphere, the food was extremely tasty and tgere was anew menu which had some wonderful choices plus there was plenty of it. Reasonable prices. The staff were so friendly and helpful. If there was one thing that would have made it perfect was the table size. It was more for two people not four, very difficult fitting the plates, drinks and cutlery on such a small table. Otherwise a perfect evening

I've been here lots of times over the months as it's a little gem in the village. Excellent home made food and cakes which are a must have. Very friendly staff which make you feel welcome

I have been here quite a few times for ice cream only before now but on this day we went for lunch. Panini was quite nice but the cheese on the cheese and tomato one was rather tasteless. Also beware ..... false advertising on the bacon, maple syrup and pancakes option. it is NOT maple syrup. It is maple flavoured (there is a BIG difference..). I have suggested they change the description. I asked for a refund based on this and was begrudgingly given said refund by a member of staff after the Manager approved it.
