Archer Street in Kensington and Chelsea

Make sure to check your bills as they automatically add service to bar drinks !!!!! Staff at this place are totally awful. After waiting 15 mins at the bar we finally get served. After ordering two simple drinks the bartender had the cheek to add service onto the payment. No bill was provided so I asked why the drinks were so expensive, he said it included service charge. I asked to remove it. They should notify people of this and also I think it is awful to charge service for the pouring of 2 drinks. I don’t mind paying service if I actually receive a decent service, such as getting the drinks delivered to our table or not having to wait 15 mins for 2 Proseccos when the bar was virtually empty. Next time we went to the bar we were waiting nearly 20 mins and constantly ignored by the two bar tenders. One looked at us and actually walked away. Clearly if you question the staff on this awful policy of charging service (when no service exists) they refuse to serve you. Really disappointing night out. I would never go back and spend my money here.

We found this venue by chance, we were killing time as we were meeting friends. Place is lovely, ambience is spot on, drinks were amazing, customer service was fantastic. Live music was also available, and the singers were incredible. Loved it so much that we are going back again. Music is also great, DJ played great music, it was at a good level as you could talk to one another without shouting. They have nailed this, shame there aren't more of these places available.

Racists! I arrived at my local bar and I was not allowed in with my friends because the judgemental bouncer looked at me and my friends up and down and could not give a reasonable response as to why we weren’t allowed in and kept passing the blame along. He claimed it was because we did not have a booking although allowed the couple who also did not have a booking in the bar. We spoke with the manager who claimed that we weren’t allowed in because of one of our friends as she was ‘too drunk’. This friend then went and confronted the bouncer about not being allowed in and the bouncer said it wasn’t her that was too drunk, but another one of our friends. All of us were absolutely fine and can’t help but feel that this was based on our race rather than our dementor. I have been to Archer Street in Notting Hill many times, but I have never come across such racist people. Never go here!

Stopped for a drink with family, sat outside went the bar and paid. Realised when I sat back outside that I was charged £4 service charge even though I went to bar and took my drinks to our table. I went back to get refund and the barmen was so rude and abrupt! Telling me that's the cost of his service! And I should have checked before tapping my card in half lit bar. When I said I couldn't see the receipt due to half light I was told I should where glasses! Rude!

I have never been treated so badly. The staff and manager positively hate customers. What a terrible and expensive mistake coming here. Never again.

Really fun atmosphere & music & Standup singing but...when you see the pizza menu on the website & that you can book a table it doesn't tell you that's a tiny table for drinks, you can't really eat there.

I literally come to this bar at least once a month since discovering its existence last year! It’s literally the only night out I really want to go on on now! The performers are AMAZING and them, along with the DJ always read the atmosphere of the room. Every-time I’ve been, every table ends up stood up and dancing along. I recently took my parents who said it’s was the best night out they’ve had in a long time and just this last weekend I had my birthday there and all of my friends who attended that hadn’t been before couldn’t believe how good it was and can’t wait to come again. The drinks are pricey but you’re paying for the top-class entertainment so I think it’s totally justified. The only downside is the food has now changed to Pizza’s (it used to be gorgeous Indian tapas) which makes it seem a bit cheaper (which I’m guessing running costs wise it is) and is less favorable because on a night out it’s nice to have small dishes to pick at rather that a pizza . But still 5* because the amazing staff 100% deserve it. Thank you everyone at Archer Street and I’ll be seeing you again soon no doubt!

I loved the personalised welcoming plaques with my name printed showing my reservation on the tables. The staff were all brilliant from the moment we arrived until we left. My ONLY complaint is that the menu has changed and we were stuck with a limited menu of pizza, but even the pizza was yummy. The singing was EXCELLENT and the DJ took requests too!

Absolutely love this place. I’ve been multiple times and each time has been so fun. The live music is incredible and the singers are so talented. The cocktails are great too.

I love Archer St bar in Soho and this Nottinghill venue was great! We went for the NYE party and it was good - Good vibe and atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. The singers were also fab! Only thing was the music that became far too cheesy after midnight - S Club 7, eek! I dont mind a bit of cheese but this was too much for me! The crowd seemed to agree as the dance floor was pretty empty.

Very rude manager. Awful experience. Worst in London in years. Avoid going if you wanted to be treated with respect.

The most appalling, disgusting experience I’ve had in a long time. We had pre booked a table, given a deposit and on arrival was bombarded by a lady demanding we take our coats off. She didn’t understand why I was taking my time (it was -3 outside and I was just acclimatising) and became very aggressive and tried to kick me out of the venue! I was with my 75 year old father and mother - not exactly the most agressive of patrons. She wouldn’t let it go, brought over the security guard on me and told me to leave. I have worked in food and hospitality for years and have never ever been treated like this. Absolutely disgusting. Such a shame as I had been here a couple times before and it was lovely and I will now never ever enter the property again. Be careful all of you - don’t forget to take your coats off immediately for fear of being chucked out!!

The Act bar is truly amazing the atmosphere and staff brings this bar to life Dan is very friendly,happy and always checks that your party/group are having a great time. Not to forget the singers/management team who was there to greet us on arrival and spent sometime talking to us which is also a great touch to this venue. Cocktails are great, food is great, music and singers are great atmosphere amazing what more could I have asked for on my birthday. A big thank you to the Act staff & management team Denise xx
