Apocom Kitchen in Glasgow City

Hi All, I just had Nkwabe for £16 in this restaurant and my overall experience was awful. The food was bland and the quantity was very little. The food seems to be overflowing in the picture but the surface of the dish in which the Nkwabe was served was flat, so it was more like a little snack (pictures and positive reviews can be deceiving). A little snack for £16 is too expensive. I am glad that I didn't have any other dishes or else I would have gone bankrupt. The table was covered with dirt and grime, and it was unhygienic. The service took a lot of time and it was not worth to wait. I just have a hard time understanding how such restaurants survive in Glasgow. I hope the owner makes immediate and drastic changes in the establishment ASAP. Kind regards

It was amazing, the food was delicious and as a nigerian, I can attest that the taste was unique and satisfactory. The service was lovely, with funny and entertaining staff.

Had a great time at Apocom Kitchen today. The Cat fish pepper soup was delicious, wish I could order more but was running out of time. Warm reception as well

If I could give zero star i would, it was my birthday few days ago was looking for a good african restaurant came across Apocom on ticktock decided to try for the first time went in with my 5kids and my wife making 7 of us ordered 3 plate of jollof rice and 2 plane of pounded yam with fried rice, to my surprised the rice tasted too sweet I guess too much Maggie and didn't smell like jollof rice, the egusi tasted disgusting not fried godforbid I didn't eatit after taste of it, was going to leave it realised it will be rude to do so. My wife and kids managed to eat little bit of the food. The worst nigeria restaurant have ever been, lived in England for 13 years the nigeria restaurant over there are nicerwith good food like the original tast of nigerian food, 2 years now in Scotland wanted to try something different first I went to Calabash in glasgow city centre 1 year ago wasn't too bad, Calabash didn't smell everything were clean not like Apocom the carpet on the floor is disgusting the inside decoration is awful it smells really bad the tap inside for washing hand is dirty no washing hand liquid the toilet is right opposite kitchen too much red flag, I think the Scottish food hygiene officer needs to visit i personally don't think they will pass food hygiene. The floor the decoration are awful I wasted good £77 was upset throughout yesterday hated myself for going there. I cook way better than that trust me even my Portuguese wife could also cook better than them. I like my egusi fried if u are a nigerian u should know what I mean nothing beats fried agusi. The chef need proper training since moving to Scotland never eat good nigerian food that the only thing I missed about England. I still griffin over my hard earned money I spent literally wasted. I also believe some of the reviews here are fake to mislead people to eat from their restaurant I guess I fall for it. If you lived in England and move somewhere else u will understand the difference in England u have lots of good nigeria restaurant they're all doing competition in England unfortunately scotland is different breeds of nigeria restaurant . In England there's a place called Taste the food there is good too they don't have that in Scotland. I'm really upset wasted my time and money spent almost 15 pounds travelling down plus the 77. I deleted all the pictures I took while my food was preparing because I don't want to have any memories about Apocom. It gets me mad everytime I think about it. Stay away people only if u don't know how good quality food taste like. If u ever eaten good quality cook food trust me u wouldn't eat this. Again was worried that my kids don't get food poison glad nothing happened. Will Never step my foot there not even if the food were free.

Dirty looking place that should have been my first red flag, the guy serving us weren't bad but the food horrible the chewing meat, jellof rice that doesn't taste like it, eghusi that isn't even fried tasted horrible we left with the most of the food on the plate. I will never go back ever and I wouldn't recommend it. How don't know how come has so many good reviews.

The customer service was terrible made us wait 10 minutes our were the only people in the restaurant. the meat was extremely chewy not nice at all. the guy decided to put the meat into the fridge while we were there and it was smelling so bad there's a time and place.Put me off my food.

Ordered for collection, arrived at pick up time and was informed they didn’t see the order on their system. Had to wait for another 30-40minutes for the food to be ready, and almost missed my flight. Not a good experience tbh

Don't be fooled by the outside which had us thinking it was closed. Inside is a lovely , friendly place with great atmosphere and gorgeous food.

Had the pleasure of dining out at Apocom last night - hard to do the restaurant justice in just a few words but; delicious, welcoming, and generous come to mind. A spot where you walk in and lose track of time, where the crescendoes of Amapiano and Afrobeats soundtrack your meal and the dishes soothe all that ails after a long day at work. Thank you Apocom Kitchen for allowing us into your world.

The owner of this restaurant is the most rude, nonchalant, dismissive, condescending, arrogant, hostile, unprofessional, insulting, intolerable, and disrespectful person I have ever encountered. If you want to enjoy your time here, just avoid any contact with the older lady who owns the place. Totally ruined my birthday mood.

Don’t order food from here , I paid 12 for plantain only to get unripe plantain , people are just wicked sometimes when selling food

Please anyone that go here send my regards to the chef becouse he his patience and kind. But for the owner lean how to think outside the box now you are showing up, because there is no competitors be aware nothing last for ever. They lost a customer because of you the owner your attitude is nasty

The food was just like "home" and so good after being away from Nigeria for some time. A really good find and we'll certainly be back for more.

The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is nice and makes you feel that part of you is in Nigeria 😀. The Isiewu is so tasty 😋 the Nkwobi not bad, the croaker is yummy 😋. Not a big place but I recommend you give it a trial.

It was a nice and relaxing place. The service was excellent and she is friendly even my little boy likes her. But please I want you guys to reduce the amount of pepper you use in preparing the snail. I know many people likes pepper but am saying for myself.

Absolutely fantastic. Came here for lunch with My partner and a friend, it was amazing but not for someone who can't handle spice or bones in their food. But we loved it, the goat meat asun was delicious. We will Definitely be back!

Food was beautiful, some of the most flavourful food ive had and also the spiciest which for me is not a bad thing at all. Would highly recommend coming here and trying the fish pepper soup, fish simply melted in your mouth and and the jollof rice cuts wonderfully t hrough the nice warm spice of the soup

Went here tonight. On a date my first time. The owner is by far the greatest hostess ever. Lovely and friendly. The food was lovely. I'm not a whiskey girl but I am now. Lovely whiskey came home a little bit tipsy and even extra ordered more food to bring home. Very clean family business. I definitely recommend this place. This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly my 3 years old loved the place as he had the best treatment. They owner and staffs know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, professional manner and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority . Food is pretty good in fact delicious, some african classics , and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. I will definitely recommend 👌

Great food and service, will be back to check out more of the menu. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The grilled fish and plantain was very flavoursome and cooked to perfection and the assorted meat pepper soup was sumptuous too.
